One of the most common kinds of cancer is breast *** early detection of it may help lower its overall rates of *** this paper,we robustly propose a novel approach for detecting and classifying breast cancer regions in thermal *** proposed approach starts with data preprocessing the input images and segmenting the significant regions of *** addition,to properly train the machine learning models,data augmentation is applied to increase the number of segmented regions using various scaling *** the other hand,to extract the relevant features from the breast cancer cases,a set of deep neural networks(VGGNet,ResNet-50,AlexNet,and GoogLeNet)are *** resulting set of features is processed using the binary dipper throated algorithm to select the most effective features that can realize high classification *** selected features are used to train a neural network to finally classify the thermal images of breast *** achieve accurate classification,the parameters of the employed neural network are optimized using the continuous dipper throated optimization *** results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach in classifying the breast cancer cases when compared to other recent approaches in the ***,several experiments were conducted to compare the performance of the proposed approach with the other *** results of these experiments emphasized the superiority of the proposed approach.

Role of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis and staging of urinary bladder cancer

Objectives:To assess the role of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mp-mRI)in the diagnosis and staging of urinary bladder cancer(BC).materials and methods:Fifty patients diagnosed with bladder masses underwent mp-mRI *** results of 3 image sets were analyzed and compared with the histopathological results as a reference standard:T2-weighted image(T2WI)plus dynamic contrast-enhanced(DCE),T2WI plus diffusion-weighted images(DWI),and mp-mRI,including T2WI plus DWI and *** diagnostic accuracy of mp-mRI was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic curve ***:The accuracy of T2WI plus DCE for detecting muscle invasion of BC was 79.5%with a fair agreement with histopathological examination(κ=0.59);this percentage increased up to 88.6%using T2WI plus DWI,with good agreement with histopathological examination(κ=0.74),whereas mp-mRI had the highest overall accuracy(95.4%)and excellent agreement with histopathological data(κ=0.83).multiparametric mRI can differentiate between low-and high-grade bladder tumors with a high sensitivity and specificity of 93.3%and 98.3%,***:multiparametric mRI is an acceptable method for the preoperative detection and accurate staging of BC,with reasonable accuracy in differentiating between low-and high-grade BC.

Development and experiment of the intelligent control system for rhizosphere temperature of aeroponic lettuce via the Internet of Things

Currently,in the conventional aeroponic system the collection of data for crop performance is quite slow,whereas such data are typically collected ***,the root zone temperature is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth in aeroponics *** study aimed to obtain temperature and relative humidity data inside an aeroponic system based on the Internet of things(IoT)and automatically cool the root zone using a novel low-cost effective technique for cooling via a cooling fan connected to the Arduino *** results revealed that the newly designed system could monitor and record the data in real-time on an internet server per ***,the temperature and humidity data can be displayed on the smartphone application,and be sent to the personal email weekly as an excel *** system was able to maintain the temperatures inside the roots chamber between 28.7℃-29.2℃ while the maximum external temperature was 38.1℃,and the average temperature in the traditional aeroponics system was fluctuating between 29.5℃-31.5℃.The newly automated cooling system root zone system of this study showed an optimization of lettuce growth *** significantly increased the lettuce absorbance of inorganic nutrients such as N,P,and K by 45.5%,66.6%,and 45.0%,respectively,also revealed an increment of fresh weight,total chlorophyll,ascorbic acid,total carbohydrate,and total amino acids by 131.0%,26.2%,41.9%,30.7%,6.2%,respectively in comparison with the conventional aeroponic ***,this study may play a significant role in the aeroponic monitoring and control,for providing more suitable growth parameters and achieving the least human interaction.

Entanglement of moving and Non-moving Two-Level Atoms

In this paper we study the dynamics of the atomic inversion, von Neumann entropy and entropy squeezing for moving and non-moving two-level atoms interacting with a Perelomov coherent state. The final state of the system using specific initial conditions is obtained. The effects of Perelomov and detuning parameters are examined in the absence and presence of the atomic motion. Important phenomena such as the collapse and revival are shown to be very sensitive to the variation of the Perelomov parameter in the presence of detuning parameter. The results show that the Perelomov parameter is very useful in generating a high amount of entanglement due to variation of the detuning parameter.

Intraoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography: A useful tool in the hands of the hepatobiliary surgeon

AIm: To evaluate the efficacy of intraoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography(ERCP) combined with laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) forpatients with gall bladder stones(GS) and common bile duct stones(CBDS).mETHODS: Patients treated for GS with CBDS were included. LC and intraoperative transcystic cholangiogram(TCC) were performed in most of the cases. Intraoperative ERCP was done for cases with proven ***: Eighty patients who had GS with CBDS were included. LC was successful in all cases. Intraoperative TCC revealed passed CBD stones in 4 cases so intraoperative ERCP was performed only in 76 patients. Intraoperative ERCP showed dilated CBD with stones in 64 cases(84.2%) where removal of stones were successful; passed stones in 6 cases(7.9%); short lower end stricture with small stones present in two cases(2.6%) which were treated by removal of stones with stent insertion; long stricture lower 1/3 CBD in one case(1.3%) which was treated by open hepaticojejunostomy; and one case(1.3%) was proved to be ampullary carcinoma and whipple's operation was scheduled. CONCLUSION: The hepatobiliary surgeon should be trained on ERCP as the third hand to expand his field of therapeutic options.

Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))has attracted great interest in photocatalysis and ***,their poor hydrophilicity poses a great challenge for their applications in aqueous ***,we demonstrate synthesis of a hydrophilic bi-functional hierarchical architecture by the assembly of B-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)*** hierarchical B-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)material enables full utilization of their highly enhanced visible light absorption and photogenerated carrier separation in aqueous medium,leading to an excellent photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production rate of 4240.3μm g^(-1)h^(-1),2.84,2.64 and 2.13 times higher than that of the bulk g-C_(3)N_(4),g-C_(3)N_(4)nanoplatelets and bulk B doped g-C_(3)N_(4),*** based on these hierarchical architectures can generate an unprecedented photocurrent density of 1.72 m A cm^(-2)at 1.23 V under Am 1.5 G illumination for photoelectrochemical water *** work makes a fundamental improvement towards large-scale exploitation of highly active,hydrophilic and stable metal-free g-C_(3)N_(4)photocatalysts for various practical applications.

Investigating Diesel Engine Performance and Emissions Using CFD

Fluid flow in an internal combustion engine presents one of the most challenging fluid dynamics problems to model. This is because the flow is associated with large density variations. So, a detailed understanding of the flow and combustion processes is required to improve performance and reduce emissions without compromising fuel economy. The simulation carried out in the present work to model DI diesel engine with bowl in piston for better understanding of the in cylinder gas motion with details of the combustion process that are essential in evaluating the effects of ingesting synthetic atmosphere on engine performance. This is needed for the course of developing a non-air recycle diesel with exhaust management system [1]. A simulation was carried out using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code FLU- ENT. The turbulence and combustion processes are modeled with sufficient generality to include spray formation, delay period, chemical kinetics and on set of ignition. Results from the simulation compared well with that of experimental results. The model proved invaluable in obtaining details of the in cylinder flow patterns, combustion process and combustion species during the engine cycle. The results show that the model over predicting the maximum pressure peak by 6%, (p-θ), (p-v) diagrams for different engine loads are predicted. Also the study shows other engine parameters captured by the simulation such as engine emissions, fuel mass fraction, indicated gross work, ignition delay period and heat release rate.

Gut immune response in the presence of hepatitis C virus infection

Hepatitis C virus （HCV） is an important etiologic agent of hepatitis and a major cause of chronic liver infection that often leads to cirrhosis, fibrosis and hepatocel-lular carcinoma. Although, HCV is a hepatotropic virus, there is strong evidence that HCV could replicate extra-hepatic in the gastrointestinal tissue which could serve as a reservoir for HCV. The outcome of HCV infection depends mainly on the host innate and adaptive im-mune responses. Innate immunity against HCV includes mainly nuclear factor cells and activation of IFN-related genes. There is an immunologic link between the gut and the liver through a population of T-cells that are ca-pable of homing to both the liver and gut via the portal circulation. However, little is known on the role of Gut immune response in HCV. In this review we discussed the immune regulation of Gut immune cells and its as-sociation with HCV pathogenesis, various outcomes of anti-HCV therapy, viral persistence and degree of liver infammation. Additionally, we investigated the relation-ship between Gut immune responses to HCV and IL28B genotypes, which were identifed as a strong predictor for HCV pathogenesis and treatment outcome after acute infection.

Improving patient care and accuracy of given doses in radiation therapy using in vivo dosimetry verification

Objective This work aims to verify and improve the dose given for cancer patients in radiation therapy by using diodes to enhance patient in vivo dosimetry on a routine basis. Some characteristics of two available semi-conductor diode dosimetry systems were evaluated. methods The diodes had been calibrated to read the dose at Dmax below the surface. Correction factors of clinical relevance were quantified to convert the diode readings into patient dose. The diode was irradiated at various gantry angles （increments of 45~）, various Field Sizes and various Source to Surface Distances （SSDs）. Results The maximal response variation in the angular response with respect to an arbitrary angle of 0~ was 1.9%, and the minimum variation was 0.5%. The response of the diode with respect to various field siz- es showed the minimum and the maximum variations in the measured dose from the diode; the calculated doses were -1.6% （for 5 cm x 5 cm field size） and 6.6% （for 40 cm x 40 cm field size）. The diode exhibited a significant perturbation in the response, which decreased with increasing SSD. No discrepancies larger than 5% were detected between the expected dose and the measured dose. Conclusion The results indicate that the diodes exhibit excellent linearity, dose reproducibility and minimal anisotropy; that they can be used with confidence for patient dose verification. Furthermore, diodes render real time verification of the dose delivered to patients.

Cytotoxic Effect of Soy Bean Saponin against Colon Cancer

Saponin is an important class of natural products that can be presented in many plants, it has a diverse range of properties, which include pharmacological and medicinal properties, antimicrobial, insecticidal, and anticancer activities. The aim of this study was to extract the saponin from different Egyptian legumes sources and evaluate the antitumor activity of partially purified saponin extracted from soybean in mouse colon cancer cells in vitro and compare its activity with cisplatin as reference chemotherapeutic drug. In this study saponin extracted from soybean and partially purified using silica gel column chromatography and then characterized by using IR and HPLC techniques. Antitumor activity of partially purified saponin was evaluated by using mTT assay, caspase-9 activity and apoptotic effect by flow cytometric analysis. Our results showed that the high saponin was present in soybean with concentration 94.8 mg/g dry weight. The partially purified soybean saponin inhibited the proliferation of colon cancer cell line in a dose-dependent manner with IC50 43.4 μg/ml after 48 hrs treatment. The proliferation inhibitory effect of soybean saponin was associated with its apoptosis-inducing effect by activation of caspase-9 and increasing the percent of apoptotic cells to 91.02% when compared with negative control after analysis by flow cytometry. In conclusion, soybean saponin had antitumor activity against mouse colon cancer cell line and its mechanism was mediated through apoptotic effect.
