The introduction of alleles into commercial crop breeding pipelines is both time consuming and *** technologies that are disrupting traditional breeding processes are doubled haploid(DH)breeding and genome editing(GE).Recently,these techniques were combined into a GE trait delivery system called HI-Edit(Haploid Inducer-Edit).In HI-Edit,the pollen of a haploid inducer line is reprogrammed to deliver GE traits to any variety,obviating recurrent *** HI-Edit to operate at scale,an efficient transformable HI line is needed,but most maize varieties are recalcitrant to transformation,and haploid inducers are especially difficult to transform given their aberrant reproductive *** marker assisted selection and a three-tiered testing scheme,we report the development of new Iodent and Stiff Stalk maize germplasm that are transformable,have high haploid induction rates,and exhibit a robust,genetically-dominant anthocyanin native trait that may be used for rapid haploid *** show that transformation of these elite‘‘HI-Edit”lines is enhanced using the BABYBOOM and wUSCHEL morphogenetic ***,we evaluate the HI-Edit performance of one of the lines against both Stiff Stalk and non-Stiff Stalk *** strategy and results of this study should facilitate the development of commercially scalable HI-Edit systems in diverse crops.

The aerospace industry relies heavily on lithium-ion batteries in instrumentation such as satellites and land *** equipment is exposed to extremely low temperatures in space or on the Martian *** extremely low temperatures affect the discharge characteristics of the battery and decrease its available working *** solvents,cosolvents,additives,and salts have been researched to fine tune the conductivity,solvation,and solid-electrolyte interface forming properties of the *** different resistive phenomena have been investigated to precisely determine the most limiting steps during charge and discharge at low *** mission lifespans as well as self-reliance on the chemistry are now highly desirable to allow low temperature performance rather than rely on external heating *** Martian rovers are equipped with greater instrumentation and demands for greater energy storage rise,new materials also need to be adopted involving next generation lithiumion chemistry to increase available *** these objectives in mind,tailoring of the electrolyte with highercapacity materials such as lithium metal and silicon anodes at low temperatures is of high *** review paper highlights the progression of electrolyte research for low temperature performance of lithium-ion batteries over the previous several decades.

Correlation analysis and the complementary relationship model are used to indirectly measure and characterize the dynamic and thermodynamic properties at the land-atmosphere interface in *** show that thermodynamic forces driving the exchange fluxes of energy,water and carbon between the land surface and the overlying atmosphere are significantly enhanced along the mid-upper reaches of the Yangtze River basin around Sichuan Basin and the northern region of *** thermodynamic forces exhibit a decreasing trend in southern Xinjiang and some regions of *** cloud cover was shown to be a significant factor leading to changes in thermodynamic properties at the land-atmosphere *** Pacific Subtropical High (wPSH) and storm data provide strong evidence that a changing synoptic system is likely a principle factor causing the abnormal spatiotemporal distribution of thermodynamic forces over the land surface in *** data also suggests that cyclical and quasi-cyclical fluctuations of low cloud cover in most regions of China are responsible for annual rainfall *** the same time,NOAA-AVHRR satellite remote sensing data illustrates that changes to land surface characteristics may cause atypical spatiotemporal distributions of thermodynamic forces over the land *** show that thermodynamic forces are weakening in regions with increasing ***,where urbanization has decreased the quantity of vegetation,thermodynamic forces are ***,an increase in large-scale thermodynamic forces is associated with a reduction in low cloud cover due to changes in the synoptic system.
