Malnutrition reduces tolerance and effectiveness of anti-tumor treatment(ANT),increases the risk of complications,medical costs,and death(Arends et al.,2017).About 40%of patients with cancer die because of malnutrition rather than the disease itself(Barton,2017;Roeland et al.,2020).In order to set up a panorama for association among nutrition status,nutrition support treatment(NST),ANT and outcomes in patients with neoplasms,the Chinese Society of Nutritional Oncology(CSNO)conducted a multicenter prospective cohort program called Investigation on Nutrition Status and its clinical Outcome of Common Cancers(INSCOC)from 2013.

The prevalence of metabolic-dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASLD)is alarmingly high;it is estimated to affect up to a quarter of the global population,making it the most common liver disorder *** is characterized by excessive hepatic fat accumulation and is commonly associated with comorbidities such as obesity,dyslipidemia,and insulin resistance;however,it can also manifest in lean ***,it is crucial to develop effective therapies for this complex ***,there are no approved medications for MASLD treatment,so there is a pressing need to investigate alternative *** research has characterized MASLD as a multifaceted disease,frequently linked to metabolic disorders that stem from dietary *** suggests that changes in the gut microbiome play a fundamental role in the development and progression of MASLD from simple steatosis to steatohepatitis and even hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).In this review,we critically examine the literature on the emerging field of gut-microbiota-based therapies for MASLD and metabolicdysfunction-associated steatohepatitis(MASH),including interventions such as fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT),probiotics,prebiotics,short-chain fatty acids,antibiotics,metabolic pathway targeting,and immune checkpoint kinase blockade.

Alzheimer's disease(AD)is the leading cause of dementia in older individuals and is an escalating challenge to global public *** therapy of AD is one of the well-funded areas;however,little progress has been made due to the complex *** evidence has demonstrated that modifying risk factors and lifestyle may prevent or delay the incidence of AD by 40%,which suggests that the management should pivot from single pharmacotherapy toward a multipronged approach because AD is a complex and multifaceted ***,the gut-microbiota-brain axis has gained tremendous traction in the pathogenesis of AD through bidirectional communication with multiple neural,immune,and metabolic pathways,providing new insights into novel therapeutic *** nutrition is an important and profound environmental factor that influences the composition and function of the *** Nutrition for Dementia Prevention Working Group recently found that dietary nutrition can affect cognition in AD-related dementia directly or indirectly through complex interactions of behavioral,genetic,systemic,and brain ***,considering the multiple etiologies of AD,nutrition represents a multidimensional factor that has a profound effect on AD onset and ***,mechanistically,the effect of nutrition on AD is uncertain;therefore,optimal strategies or the timing of nutritional intervention to prevent or treat AD has not been ***,this review summarizes the current state of knowledge concerning nutritional disorders,AD patient and caregiver burden,and the roles of nutrition in the pathophysiology of *** aim to emphasize knowledge gaps to provide direction for future research and to establish optimal nutrition-based intervention strategies for AD.

Background:Chemotherapy toxicity is a serious problem from which non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients *** mismatch repair(MMR) system is associated with platinum-based chemotherapy toxicity in NSCLC *** this study,we aimed to investigate the relationship between genetic polymorphisms in the MMR pathway and platinum-based chemotherapy toxicity in NSCLC ***:A total of 220 Chinese lung cancer patients who received at least two cycles of platinum-based chemotherapy were recruited for this *** was evaluated in each patient after two cycles of chemotherapy.A total of 44 single nucleotide polymorphisms were selected to investigate their associations with platinum-based chemotherapy ***:MutS homolog 2[MSH2) rs6544991[odds ratio(OR) 2.98,95%confidence interval(CI) 1.20-7.40,P = 0.019]was associated with gastrointestinal toxicity in the dominant model;MSH3 rs6151627(OR 2.38,95%CI 1.23-4.60,P = 0.010),rs6151670(OR 2.05,95%CI 1.07-3.93,P = 0.031),and rs7709909(OR 2.38,95%CI 1.23-4.64,P = 0.010)were associated with hematologic toxicity in the dominant ***,MSH5 rs805304 was significantly associated with overall toxicity(OR 2.21,95%CI 1.19-4.09,P = 0.012),and M5H5 rs707939 was significantly associated with both overall toxicity(OR 0.42,95%CI 0.23-0.76,P = 0.004) and gastrointestinal toxicity(OR 0.44,95%CI 0.20-0.96,P = 0.038) in the dominant ***:Genetic polymorphisms in the MMR pathway are potential clinical markers for predicting chemotherapy toxicity in NSCLC patients.

Meningeal lymphatic vessels form a relationship between the nervous system and periphery, which is relevant in both health and disease. Meningeal lymphatic vessels not only play a key role in the drainage of brain metabolites but also contribute to antigen delivery and immune cell activation. The advent of novel genomic technologies has enabled rapid progress in the characterization of myeloid and lymphoid cells and their interactions with meningeal lymphatic vessels within the central nervous system. In this review, we provide an overview of the multifaceted roles of meningeal lymphatic vessels within the context of the central nervous system immune network, highlighting recent discoveries on the immunological niche provided by meningeal lymphatic vessels. Furthermore, we delve into the mechanisms of crosstalk between meningeal lymphatic vessels and immune cells in the central nervous system under both homeostatic conditions and neurodegenerative diseases, discussing how these interactions shape the pathological outcomes. Regulation of meningeal lymphatic vessel function and structure can influence lymphatic drainage, cerebrospinal fluid-borne immune modulators, and immune cell populations in aging and neurodegenerative disorders, thereby playing a key role in shaping meningeal and brain parenchyma immunity.

Differences in concentration of molecules can cause different molecular *** issue has not been well studied in the vascular remodeling process with regards to is-stent *** study designed and built a model to explore the effect of differences in vascular cell concentration on vascular *** element analysis(FEA)models and the agent-based models(ABMs)were established to simulate the damage and proliferation process of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)caused by coronary artery stent *** FEA model simulated the expansion of the stent in the coronary artery,the tensile stress was captured and imported into the ABM,and the damaged VSMCs proliferated to reduce their damage *** were randomly distributed within a defined domain,and the number of VSMCs in a unit volume(or area)was defined as the concentration of *** with the smallest concentration of VSMCs will preferentially proliferate,which simulates the cell proliferation affected by the concentration of *** results showed that after stent implantation,VSMCs proliferated gradually from the severely damaged stent area to the lumen until the artery reached a steady *** comparison,the loss of arterial lumen and the number of newly grown VSMCs were greater in the presence of the concentration than in its *** made full use of the lumen space under the influence of concentration differences,so the concentration was of great significance to vascular remodeling.

It is well accepted that CD8＋ T cells play a pivotal role in providing protection against infection with intracellular pathogens and some tumors. In many cases protective immunity is maintained for long periods of time （immunological memory）. Over the past years, it has become evident that in order to fulfill these multiple tasks, distinct subsets of effector and memory T cells have to be generated. Until today, however, little is known about the underlying mechanisms of subset differentiation and the timing of lineage fate decisions. In this context, it is of special importance to determine at which level of clonal expansion functional and phenotypical heterogeneity is achieved. Different models for T cell subset diversification have been proposed; these differ mainly in the time point during priming and clonal expansion （prior, during, or beyond the first cell division） when differentiation programs are induced. Recently developed single-cell adoptive transfer technology has allowed us to demonstrate that individual precursor cell still bears the full plasticity to develop into a plethora different T cell subsets. This observation targets the shaping of T cell subset differentiation towards factors that are still operative beyond the first cell division. These findings have important implications for vaccine development, as the modulation of differentiation patterns towards distinct subsets could become a powerful strategy to enhance the efficacy and quality of vaccines.
