Study on the interaction between metal complexes and DNA will not only help people to understand the essence of the phenomenon of life from the molecular level,but also have potential applications on the pharmaceutical industry from long-term *** this paper, quantum chemistry methods are used to investigate the hydrolysis mechanism of dimethyl phosphate(DMP,the simplified model of DNA) in alkaline and neutral conditions and focus on the hydrolysis mechanism and reaction path of DMP catalyzed by zinc and magnesium metal *** calculations indicate that the alkaline hydrolysis and neutral hydrolysis reactions of DMP follow a concerted bimolecular mechanism:nucleophiles hydroxide ions or water molecules attack the phosphorus atom,through a trigonal bipyramidal transition state,and -OCH depart from ***,the hydrolysis of DMP catalyzed by mononuclear zinc and magnesium metal complexes follows a two-step mechanism:first,the hydroxide ions connected with the metal complexes attack the phosphorus atom to form a pentacoordinate phosphorane intermediate;then the intermediate is dissociated into product which is the rate-determining step. Compared to uncatalyzed hydrolysis,metal complexes can reduce the energy barrier of the transition state of DMP hydrolysis remarkably and enhance the rate by 10-fold(zinc complex) and 10-fold(magnesium complex),*** the same time,divalent metal ions play an important part in the catalytic hydrolysis of *** study in this paper provides some theoretical guidance for the design and synthesis of catalysts for new drugs as well as useful theoretical support for revealing the essence of the enzymatic hydrolysis reaction mechanism of DNA in life system.

A Schiff base ligand,anthracene-9-pyridylhydrazone（9-APH）,was synthesized by 9-anthracencarboxaldehyde and 2-hydrazinopyridine,and was characterized by UV,ESI-MS,1H-NMR and *** transition metal complexes 1-3 of 9-APH were synthesized and structurally characterized as *** in vitro antitumor activity of 9-APH and its metal complexes were screened by MTT method against five tumor cell lines（MGC80-3,NCI-H460,SK-OV-3,Hep-G2,BEL-7404） as well as the normal liver cell line *** 2 showed some higher cytotoxicity towards most of the tumor cell lines than 9-APH,but lower cytotoxicity toward the HL-7702 cell,suggesting their cytotoxic selectivity on the tumor cells.

Low-valent transition-metal species that concomitantly have low coordination numbers are important reactive species proposed in inert bond-activation reactions. The knowledge on their formation, structure, and reactivity thus lays the basis for many challenging chemical transformations. Aiming to deep our understanding on dinitrogen activation by low-valent iron and cobalt species, we have initiated the study on low-valent iron and cobalt complexes with N-heterocyclic carbenes as supporting ligands. This presentation will introduce our recent studies on the synthesis, structure, and reactivity of two-and three-coordinate iron（0, I） and cobalt（-I, 0, I） complexes（see figure below）. The coordination chemistry of these low-coordinate low-valent species with dinitrogen will be discussed.

Nitronyl nitroxide(NIT) radicals are a kind of stable radicals that can directly coordinate with metal ions and produce the strongest possible magnetic coupling[1].Functional nitronyl nitroxide radicals may coordinate two or more metal ions to assemble radical-metal complexes with interesting crystal structures[2,3].In this abstract,we designed and synthesized two different compounds based on the NIT-4PyPh radical(NIT-4PyPh=2-[4-(4-pyridinylmethoxy)phenyl]-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide) and NIT-o-QN radical(NIT-o-QN=2-(quinoxaline-2-yl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide),namely[{Cu(hfac)}(NIT-4PyPh)](1) and[{Cu(hfac)}(NIT-o-QN)](2),*** structures of complexes 1 and 2 are shown in Figure *** 1 is constructed from a[{Cu(hfac)-radical}]dimer ring added two Cu(hfac) molecules by its uncoordinated NO *** for complex 2 is a trinuclear *** Cu ions are located in elongated octahedral coordination ***1 is surrounded by four O atoms from two hfac ligands,one O atom from the NO group of one NIT-o-QN ligand,and one N atom from the quinoxaline *** Cu2 is coordinated by two N atoms from two quinoxaline ligands and completed to six by four O atoms from two didentate hfac *** conclusion,using functional nitronyl nitroxide radicals is a successful strategy to build varieties of crystal structures.

In recent years dynamic covalent chemistry has been receiving more and more attention,as such systems afford chemists many opportunities in sensing,new material,catalysis,and so *** the known dynamic covalent systems,imine bond is one of the most studied *** is known the addition of water molecule to an imine yielding a hemi-aminal is not *** less is known on the related system of hemi-aminal ether,which is formed by the addition of an alcohol to the imine function[1,2].We herein report that a cubane-like Cd4O4 cluster compound（1）was formed from cadmium-mediated multi-component *** important intermediate complex（2）by four-component covalent assembly,in which a hemi-aminal ether ligand is formed,most probably by the metal-mediated addition of a primary alcohol to the imine function was isolated（scheme 1）.To the best of our knowledgement,complex 2 is the first example of a hemi-aminal ether complex in which the ether oxygen of a hemiaminal ether ligand acts as a donor atom to the metal center.
