Tantalum pentoxide(Ta_(2)O_(5)) has attracted intensive attention due to their excellent physicochemical ***_(2)O_(5) films were synthesized via electron beam evaporation(EBE)and subsequently annealed at different temperatures ranging from 300 to 900℃.X-ray diffraction(XRD)results show that amorphous Ta_(2)O_(5) thin films form from 300 to 700℃ and then a phase transition to polycrystalline β-Ta_(2)O_(5) films occurs since 900℃.The surface morphology of the Ta_(2)O_(5) films is uniform and *** resulted Ta_(2)O_(5)films exhibit excellent transmittance properties for wavelengths ranging from 300 to 1100 *** bandgap of the Ta_(2)O_(5) films is broadened from 4.32 to 4.46 eV by *** 900℃ polycrystalline film electrode has improved electrochemical stability,compared to the other amorphous counterparts.

Sm（Co0.6Fe0.27Cu0.1Zr0.03）7.5 ribbons were prepared by melt-spun *** results showed that the remnant magnetization Mr and intrinsic coercivity Hci had a rapid increase when the heating rate increased from 5 to 10 °C/*** the increase of Mr and Hci were observed to be very little when the heating rate was further increased to 20 °C/min.10 °C/min was the critical heating rate for obtaining high magnetic *** maximum values of Mr and Hci reached 0.70 T and 780.1 kA/m when the annealing temperature and annealing time were optimized to be 800 °C and 1 h, *** second-step heat treatment could suppress the decrease of Hci when the cooling rate increased from 0.7 to 5 °C/min, which could reduce the cooling time effectively.

Pure ZnO and Zn0.96Na0.04O films were grown on quartz substrates by sol-gel technology. The XRD analysis revealed that all thin films had hexagonal wurtzite structure and obvious c-axis preferred orientation. Ferromagnetism was precisely measured by an alternating gradient magnetometer (AGM). To explore the nature original ferromagnetism, the effect of annealing atmosphere on magnetic properties of the films was studied. Compared with pure ZnO, magnetic hysteresis loops showed that doping Na atoms enhanced saturation magnetism. The magnetism of the films annealed in the air atmosphere was significantly better than that in the O2 atmosphere. The photoluminescence (PL) spectrum analysis suggested that the ferromagnetism was due to the defects in the films.

The influence of annealed ohmic contact metals on the electron mobility of a two dimensional electron gas （2DEG） is investigated on ungated AlGaN/GaN heterostructures and AlGaN/GaN heterostructure field effect transistors （AlGaN/GaN HFETs）. Current-voltage （I-V） characteristics for ungated AlGaN/GaN heterostructures and capacitance-voltage （C-V） characteristics for AlGaN/GaN HFETs are obtained, and the electron mobility for the ungated AlGaN/GaN heterostructure is calculated. It is found that the electron mobility of the 2DEG for the ungated AlGaN/GaN heterostructure is decreased by more than 50% compared with the electron mobility of Hall measurements. We propose that defects are introduced into the AlGaN barrier layer and the strain of the AlGaN barrier layer is changed during the annealing process of the source and drain, causing the decrease in the electron mobility.

The microstructures and Vickers hardness at room temperature of arc-meltingprocessed intermetallics of Mo_5Si_3-MoSi_2 hypoeutectic alloy and hypereutectic alloy annealed at1200℃ for different time were investigated. Lamellar structure consisted of Mo_5Si_3 (D8m) phaseand MoSi_2 (C11_b) phase was observed in all the alloys. For Mo_5Si_3-MoSi_2 hypoeutectic alloy, thelamellar structure was found only after annealing and developed well with fine spacing on the orderof hundred nanometers after annealing at 1200℃ for 48 h. But when the annealing time was up to 96h, the well-developed lamellar structure was destroyed. For Mo_5Si_3-MoSi_2 hypereutectic alloy, thelamellar structure was found both before and after annealing. However the volume fraction andspacing of the lamellar structure did not change significantly before and after annealing. Theeffects of the formation, development and destruction of lamellar structure on Vickers hardness ofalloys were also investigated. When Mo_5Si_3-MoSi_2 hypoeutectic alloy annealed at 1200℃ for 48 h,the Vickers hardness was improved about 19% compared with that without annealing and formation oflamellar structure. The highest Vickers hardness of Mo5Si3-MoSi_2 hypereutectic was increasing about18% when annealing at 1200℃ for 48 h.

The spark plasma sintering （SPS） method is used to prepare the ultrafine copper with the average grain size less than 10 μm and the tensile strength greater than 280 *** ultrafine copper is annealed at different temperatures for 60 min,and the annealing microstructure is observed and the hardness and the deformation behavior of the bulk copper are *** results indicate that the grains grow very slowly when the annealing temperature is less than 450 ℃.However,the grain growth becomes remarkable when the annealing temperature exceeds 450 ℃.And the plasticity of the bulk copper is the best when the annealing temperature of 450 ℃ is *** stamping and spin forming,the deformed copper is recrystallized completely and the grain is refined when the copper is annealed at 500 ℃ for 30 min.

Effects of nucleation sites and diffusivity enhancement of chromium on reverted transformation of AISI 304 stainless steel during annealing process were *** calculation revealed that the reverted transformation of strain-inducedα’-martensite→γaustenite could were closely associated with active nucleation sites and diffusivity enhancement of chromium in nanocrystallineα’-*** experimental data and the results were in accordance with 2-grain austenite/α’-martensite junctions calculated theoretically,which could result from high chromium diffusion rate in nanocrystallineα’-*** addition,low temperature is not conducive to reversed transformation,while high temperature and long annealing time will lead to inhomogeneous grain size distribution.

Recently, power conversion efficiencies of organic photovoltaics based on small molecules have been dramatically improved by means of the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) structure. Moreover, to optimize photovoltaic performance, thermal annealing treatments have often been used because of the simplicity of the process. However, the elucidation of effects of thermal annealing treatment on BHJ film structure based on small molecules is still not enough. Here, we report the results of structural analysis with synchrotron radiation of α-sexithiophene:fullerene BHJ films before and after thermal annealing treatment. In particular, the open-circuit voltage was increased to as high as 0.72 V;moreover, the BHJ films based on α-sexithiophene and fullerene were also clearly crystallized by the thermal annealing treatment. In this study, we found that the optimal crystal size existed in BHJ films for high-performance organic photovoltaics.

Effect of Soaking Time on the Mechanical Properties of annealed Cold-Drawn Low Carbon Steel

The paper presents the results of investigation on the effect of soaking time on the yield strength, ductility and hardness properties of annealed cold-drawn low carbon steel. The low carbon steel cold-drawn at 40% deformation was annealed at 900 deg Celsius for soaking times of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 minutes. Tensile, charpy and Brinnel hardness tests were conducted to determine the yield strengths, tensile strengths, impact strengths, ductility and hardness of the annealed steel with increasing soaking time. The yield strength, tensile strength, hardness and impact strength of the steel showed a continuous drop in value with increasing soaking time up to 60 minutes with a steep drop between 30 and 40 minutes. Ductility values followed the same decreasing trend up to 40 minutes soaking time after which the values started increasing again till 60 minutes soaking time. There was a linear relationship between the tensile strength and hardness of the material for different soaking times. This linear relationship was also observed for yield strength and hardness of the material.
