Three Bi-doped vanady. py.ophosphate cataly.ts were prepared via dihy.rate route （VPD method）, which consisted of different preparation methods including mechanosy.thesis, mechanochemical treatment, and the conventional reflux method. The cataly.ts produced by.the above three methods were characterized by.x-ray.diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy.（SEM）, and temperature programmed reduction （TPR）. Cataly.ic evaluation for the partial oxidation of n-butane to maleic anhy.ride （MA） was also carried out. The XRD patterns of all the Bi-doped cataly.ts showed the main peak. of py.ophosphate phase. Lower intensity.peak. were observed for the mechanochemically.treated Bi-doped cataly.t （VPDBiMill） with two additional small peak. corresponding to the presence of a small amount of V5＋ phase. The TPR profiles showed that the highest amount of active oxy.en species, i.e, V4＋–O- pair, responsible for n-butane activation, was removed from VPDBiMill. Furthermore, from the cataly.ic test results, the graph of selectivity.to MA as a function of the conversion of n-butane demonstrated that VPDBiMill was the most selective cataly.t. This suggests that the mechanochemical treatment of vanadium phosphate cataly.t （VPDBiMill） is a potential method to improve the cataly.ic properties for the partial oxidation of n-butane to maleic anhy.ride.

This study.presents an optimization of the Folin-Ciocalteu spectrophotometric method for the determination of total phenol content. Multivariate optimization using factorial planning 22 with a central point and central composite planning was constructed to evaluate the influence of variables in the process and maximize radiation absorption with minimal radiation scattering caused by.solid formation. X-ray.fluorescence and X-ray.diffraction spectrometry.were used to evaluate the chemical composition of solids formed and nephelometric and spectrophotometric studies were also used to evaluate whether the ty.e, origin, dilution and dry.extract contents of commercial propolis extracts would significantly.influence the increase in radiation scattering and absorption. The optimized methodology.added several advantages, such as reduction of reagents, time analy.is, and higher accuracy.

Back.round: The most prevalent non-communicable disease worldwide is oral health-related disease, with dental caries and periodontal conditions being common. Oral health status significantly.impacts overall health and quality.of life. Barriers to dental care affect children with special needs. This study.evaluates the oral health status and treatment requirements of people with special needs. Methodology. This descriptive cross-sectional study.in k.masi, Ghana examined oral health status among people, 121 children with special needs over two months, in j.ne-july.2022. Dental caries, periodontal changes, malocclusion, and trauma were assessed. The data was analy.ed using SPSS 20.0. Results: The oral health status among people with special needs in this study.was generally.moderate, with a range from very.good to very.poor. The prevalence of dental caries was 37%, with a mean DMFT score of 2.82. Periodontal health showed unsatisfactory.indicators such as mobile teeth, poor gingival health, high plaque scores, and the presence of halitosis. Conclusion: This descriptive study.aimed to provide baseline data on the oral health status of special needs students in k.masi, addressing the lack.of k.owledge in this area. It highlighted the importance of dental care in maintaining good oral health and overall well-being in individuals with special needs. Coordinated efforts by.dental professionals are needed to provide dental health education and preventive interventions for these children.

Chemical pollution in the aquatic sy.tems of Botswana has been sparsely.studied despite its potential ecological ***,we perform a study.of water samples collected from 13 locations distributed across Botswana to obtain the first overview of the nature and distribution of chemical contaminants across the country.s aquatic *** resolution mass spectrometry.was applied using nontargeted and suspect screening methods to qualitatively.analy.e samples.A total of 114 contaminants of emerging concern(CECs)were identified including 68(59.6%)pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical metabolites;16(14.2%)pesticides;13(11.4%)psy.hoactive compounds and metabolites;11(9.7%)industrial chemicals and intermediates and lastly.5(4.4%)personal care ***,3,4-dimethy.methcathinone,and diazolidiny. urea represented the most commonly.detected pharmaceutical,psy.hoactive drug and personal care product,*** pesticide dodemorph and three industrial chemicals(stearamide,pthalic acid and bis(2-ethy.hexy.)phthalate)were detected in all samples obtained.90 CECs were detected in receiving water(from 7 sample locations),75 in wastewater(from 3 sample locations)and 60 in surface water(from 9 sample locations).Of the compounds detected,only.8 had been identified in environmental samples acquired in Botswana *** discuss the variations in the nature and frequency.of chemical pollutants detected in this work.in a geographical *** results indicate that Botswana's aquatic sy.tems are subject to pollution,despite wastewater treatment and that in order to mitigate potentially.harmful effects on both human and aquatic ecosy.tems,more investigations are required to correctly.identify.track.and tack.e the sources of pollution.

This research entails the study.of heat and mass transfer of nanofluid flow in a fluidized bed dry.r used in tea dry.ng processes in presence of induced magnetic field. A mathematical model describing the fluid flow in a Fluidized bed dry.r was developed using the nonlinear partial differential equations. Due to their non-linearity. the equations were solved numerically.by.use of the finite difference method. The effects of phy.ical flow parameters on velocity. temperature, concentration and magnetic induction profiles were studied and results were presented graphically. From the mathematical analy.is, it was deduced that addition of silver nanoparticles into the fluid flow enhanced velocity.and temperature profiles. This led to improved heat transfer in the fluidized bed dry.r, hence amplify.ng the tea dry.ng process. Furthermore, it was noted that induced magnetic field tends to decrease the fluid velocity. which results in uniform distribution of heat leading to efficient heat transfer between the tea particles and the fluid, thus improving the dry.ng process. The research findings provide information to industries on way. to optimize thermal performance of fluidized bed dry.rs.

Aim： To establish a rat and mouse epididy.al map based on the use of the Epiquatre automatic software for histologic image analy.is. Methods： Epididy.ides from five adult rats and five adult mice were fixed in alcoholic Bouin＇s fixative and embedded in paraffin. Serial longitudinal sections through the medial aspect of the organ were cut at 10 jam and stained with hematoxy.in and eosin. As determined from major connective tissue septa, nine subdivisions of the rat epididy.is and seven for the mouse were determined, consisting of five sub-regions in the caput （rat and mouse）, one （mouse） or three （rat） in the corpus and one in the cauda （rat and mouse）. Using the Epiquatre software, several tubular, luminal and epithelial morphometric parameters were evaluated. Results： Statistical comparison of the quantitative parameters revealed regional differences （2-5 in the rat, 3-6 in the mouse, dependent on parameters） with caput regions 1 and 2 being largely.distinguishable from the similar remaining caput and corpus, which were in turn recognizable from the cauda regions in both species. Conclusion： The use of the Epiquatre software allowed us to establish regression curves for different morphometric parameters that can permit the detection of changes in their values under different pathological or experimental conditions. （Asian j Androl 2005 Sep; 7： 267-275）

BACk.ROUnD Morgagni hernia(MH)is a form of congenital diaphragmatic hernia(CDH)characterized by.an incomplete formation of diaphragm,resulting in the protru-sion of abdominal organs into the thoracic *** estimated incidence of CDH is between 1 in 2000 and 1 in 5000 live births,although the true incidence is *** ty.ically.presents in childhood and can be diagnosed either pre-natally.or ***,it can also be asy.ptomatic and carry.the risk.of developing into a life-threatening condition in *** SUMMARy.A 76-y.ar-old female with no history.of prior abdominal surgeries presented for an elective colonoscopy.for poly. *** the procedure,when approaching the hepatic flexure,the scope could not be advanced further despite multiple *** patient experienced mild abdominal discomfort,leading to the abortion of the *** in the recovery.area,she developed increa-sing abdominal pains and *** abdominal imaging revealed her-niation of the proximal transverse colon through a MH into the chest with evi-dence of *** patient underwent laparoscopic urgent colonic resection and primary.hernia repair and was discharged uneventfully.2 d *** A MH is a rare condition in adults that can present as a life-threatening compli-cation of colonoscopy.even in patients with a history.of uneventful *** case highlights the importance of considering congenital and internal hernias when faced with sudden and unexplained difficulties during *** there is a suspicion of MH,the endoscopist should halt the procedure and immediately.obtain abdominal imaging to confirm the diagnosis.
