Two cruises were conducted in January and July 1986 in the Changjiang (Yangtse River) Estuary and its adjacent East China Sea (30°45′ -32°00′n,121°00′-124°00′E). Direct epifluorescence counts of planktonic bacteria and determinations of ATP concentrations were made. Subsamples were taken for measurement of oxygen consumption rates and chlorophyll *** and ATP concentrations were higher in summer than in winter, highest in the river and the river mouth, and gradually lower offshore. The bacteria number was correlated positively with suspended matter, nitrates and oxygen consumption rates, and negatively with *** winter bacteria were the main contributors of ATP and the main consumers of dissolved oxygen in the whole studied area. In summer two maxima of ATP were found along the salinity gradient. The first one which coincided with the peak of turbidity near the river mouth was attributed to bacte -ria, and the second which occurred in the waters with a salinity range

The superplastic deformation characteristics, of commercial 40Cr (i.e., 5140) steel that was water-quenched only 1 times and subsequent high-temperature tempered, were investigated. The results showed that the 40Cr steel has a fine grain of 10-15μm at room temperature, and exhibits a tensile elongation of 304%, a true flow stress of 89.3MPa and a strain rate sensitivity m-value of 0.227 at the initial strain rate of 1.0×10-3s-1and at the temperature of 750°C. The final fracture is caused by the development of neck. The experimental result of elongation is in good agreement with the theoretically predicated value according to the analytical expression (where ef, m, f, nv and ε is respectively elongation, average strain rate sensitivity, initial geometric defect, average strain hardening sensitivity at constant deformation velocity and average true strain). The fracture surface is intergraular, and superplastic deformation induces an equiaxed and grown grain. Decreasing strain rate increases tensile elongation and strain rate sensitivity m-value. The primary superplastic deformation mechanism is thought to be atom-diffusion-controlled grain boundary sliding.

The dipole–dipole interaction model is employed to investigate the angular dependence of the levitation and lateral forces acting on a small magnet in an anti-symmetric magnet/superconducting sphere system. Breaking the symmetry of the system enables us to study the lateral force which is important in the stability of the magnet above a superconducting sphere in the Meissner state. Under the assumption that the lateral displacement of the magnet is small compared to the physical dimensions of our proposed system, analytical expressions are obtained for the levitation and lateral forces as a function of the geometrical parameters of the superconductor as well as the height, the lateral displacement, and the orientation of the magnetic moment of the magnet. The dependence of the levitation force on the height of the levitating magnet is similar to that in the symmetric magnet/superconducting sphere system within the range of proposed lateral displacements. It is found that the levitation force is linearly dependent on the lateral displacement whereas the lateral force is independent of this displacement. A sinusoidal variation of both forces as a function of the polar and azimuthal angles specifying the orientation of the magnetic moment is observed. The relationship between the stability and the orientation of the magnetic moment is discussed for different orientations.

为了减少序列离散化过程导致的误差,提出几种概率补偿的方法。由误差的成因入手,分析了离散化过程的误差机理,将利用随机变量的概率分布函数离散化后所得序列,分别以修正公式、平均补偿法及比例补偿法进行补偿,推导出各种误差补偿方法下序列期望值及方差的误差估计公式。结果表明:经误差补偿后,算例中序列期望值误差下降为原误差的8%以下,而方差误差至少可降为原误差的91%。

The guinea pigs were dermally exposed to nickel (ni), sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and in their combination for 7 and 14 days. The exposure to ni and SLS produced changes in enzymes and lipid peroxidation in kidney. The exposure to ni or SLS depicted slight changes while combined exposure to ni plus SLS exhibited more degenerative changes in kidney. The result of the study suggests that industrial workers and/or populations exposed simultaneously to ni and SLS produces more damage to kidney.

Recently gold nanoparticles(GnPs)have been actively studied as photot hermal converters,drug carriers,and imaging agents in a wide range of applications in cancer diagnosis and ther *** prolonged peroral administration of GnPs in a range of sizes was performed to investigate the morphological changes and their reversibility in the internal organs of laboratory *** this study,GnP's with average diameters of 2 nm,15 nm and 50nm were administered during 30 days,and the reversibility of morphological changes was investigated 14 days after *** the prolonged administration of GnPs,the severity of morphological changes in the liver,kidney,spleen and lymph nodes depended on the nanoparticle ***,50 nm nano-particles caused the most pronounced dystrophic and necrobiotic effects,whereas the smallest 2 nm nanoparticles caused proliferative *** importantly,the development of patho-logical processes was reversible,as evidenced by the gradual restoration of the organ structure at 14 days after the end of GnPs administration.
