Variable speed pumped storage machines are used extensively in wind power plant and pumped storage power plant. This paper presents direct torque and flux control(DTFC) of a variable speed pumped storage power plant(VSPSP). By this method both torque and flux have been applied to control the VSPSP. The comparison between VSPSP's control strategies is studied. At the first, a wind turbine with the capacity 2.2 k W and DTFC control strategies simulated then a 250 MW VSPSP is simulated with all of its parts(including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and its control system) by MATLAB software. In all of simulations, both converters including two-level voltage source converter(2LVSC) and three-level voltage source converter(3LVSC) are applied. The results of applying 2LVSC and 3LVSC are the rapid dynamic responses with better efficiency, reducing the total harmonic distortion(THD) and ripple of rotor torque and flux.

This paper deals with the study of the temperature effect on the nonlinear vibration behavior of nanoplate-based nano electromechanical systems（NEMS） subjected to hydrostatic and electrostatic actuations. Using Eringen＇s nonlocal elasticity and Gurtin–Murdoch theory, the nonlocal plate model is derived through Hamilton＇s principle. The governing equation which is extremely nonlinear due to the geometrical nonlinearity and electrostatic attraction forces is solved numerically using the differential quadrature method（DQM）. The accuracy of the present method is veriied by comparing the obtained results with the experimental data and those in the literature and very good agreement is obtained. Finally a comprehensive study is carried out to determine the inluence of temperature on the nonlinear vibration characteristics of NEMS made of two different materials including aluminum（Al）and silicon（Si） and some conclusions are drawn.

Model predictive controllers(MPC)with the two-loop scheme are successful approaches practically and can be classified into two main categories,tube-based MPC and MPCbased reference governors(RG).In this paper,an enhanced twoloop MPC design is proposed for a pre-stabilized system with the bounded uncertainty subject to the input and state *** proposed method offers less conservatism than the tube-based MPC methods by enlarging the restricted input *** to the MPC-based RGs,the investigated method improves tracking performance of the pre-stabilized system while satisfying the ***,the robust global asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed in a novel procedure with terminal constraint *** of the proposed method on a servo system shows its effectiveness in comparison to the others.

The use of fibre-reinforced polymer(FRP)to confine concrete columns improves the strength and ductility of the columns by reducing passive lateral confinement *** numerical and analytical formulations have been proposed in the literature to describe the compressive behaviour of FRP confined concrete under both monotonic and cyclic ***,the efect of a stress/strain level in the columns has not been well defined because of the lack of well-defined strategies of modeing and oversimplification of the *** paper reviews the existing FRP combinations and the available numerical and analytical methods to determine the effectiveness of the adopted *** effort has been made to examine the usage of FRP materials in column applications in exist-ing building regimes and highlights the possible future scopes to improve the use of FRP confined concrete in civil applications.

In this study,a new method is presented to correlate the shear viscosity of nanofluids by local composition *** Eyring theory and nonrandom two-liquid(NRTL)equation are used for this *** effects of temperature and particle volume concentration on the viscosity are *** adjustable parameters of NRTL equation are obtained by fitting with experimental *** calculated shear viscosities for nanofluids of CuO/water with 29 nm particle size,Al2O3/water with two different particle diameters,36 nm and 47 nm,and CuO/(ethylene glycol,water)are compared with experimental data and the average absolute deviation(AAD)is 1.2%,while the results from some conventional models yield an AAD of 190%.The results of this study are in excellent agreement with experimental data.

The mechanism of the Weibel instability is investigated for dense magnetized plasmas. As we know, due to the electron velocity distribution, the Coulomb collision effect of electron-ion and the relativistic properties play an important role in such study. In this study an analytical expression for the growth rate and the condition of restricting the Weibel instability are derived for low-frequency limit. These calculations are done for the oscillation frequency dependence on the electron cyclotron frequency. It is shown that, the relativistic properties of the particle lead to increasing the growth rate of the instability. On the other hand the collision effects and background magnetic field try to decrease the growth rate by decreasing the temperature anisotropy and restricting the particles movement.

Systemic chemotherapy has lost its position to treat cancer over the past years mainly due to drug resistance,side effects,and limited survival *** a plethora of local drug delivery systems to solve this issue,the combinatorial strategy of chemo-hyperthermia has recently received *** we developed a magneto-thermal nanocarrier consisted of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(SPIONs)coated by a blend formulation of a three-block copolymer Pluronic F127 and F68 on the oleic acid(OA)in which Curcumin as a natural and chemical anti-cancer agent was *** subsequent nanocarrier SPION@OA-F127/F68-Cur was designed with a controlled gelation temperature of the shell,which could consequently control the release of *** release was systematically studied as a function of temperature and pH,via response surface methodology(RSM).The bone tumor killing efficacy of the released curcumin from the carrier in combination with the hyperthermia was studied on MG-63 osteosarcoma cells through Alamar blue assay,live-dead staining and apoptosis caspase 3/7 activation *** was found that the shrinkage of the F127/F68 layer stimulated by elevated temperature in an alternative magnetic field caused the curcumin *** the maximum release concentration and cell death took place at 45℃,treatment at 41℃ was chosen as the optimum condition due to considerable cell apoptosis and lower side effects of mild *** cell metabolic activity results confirmed the synergistic effects of curcumin and hyperthermia in killing MG-63 osteosarcoma cells.

This is a numerical study of a falling droplet surrounding by air under the electric field modeled with finite volume method by means of *** VOF method has been employed to model the two-phase flow of the present *** capillary numbers are investigated to analyze the effects of electric field intensity on the falling droplet ***,the effects of electric potential on the heat transfer coefficient have been *** obtained results showed that by applying the electric field at a capillary number of 0.2 the droplet tends to retain its primitive shape as time goes by,with a subtle deformation to an oblate *** the electric field to a capillary number of 0.8 droplet deformation is almost insignificantwith time progressing;however,further enhancement in capillary number to 2 causes the droplet to deform as a prolate shape and higher values of this number intensify the prolate form deformation of the droplet and result in pinch-off ***,it is showed that as the electric potential augments the heat transfer coefficient increases in which for electric potential values higher than 2400 V the heat transfer coefficient enhances significantly.
