Objective:To evaluate the protective effect of benzydamine hydrochloride against ethanol-induced oxidative stress and inflammation in RAW 264.7 ***:RAW 264.7 macrophages were treated with ethanol(100 mm)and benzydamine hydrochloride(7.5μm).The imflammatory status was confirmed by measuring pro-(TNF-αand IL-6)and anti-inflammatory(IL-10)cytokines through ELISA and RT-PCR *** oxygen species generation and mitochondrial membrane potential were investigated to study the protective role of benzydamine hydrochloride against ethanol-induced oxidative *** detection was also investigated using flow cytometry and acridine orange/ethidium bromide ***:Benzydamine hydrochloride significantly decreased the secretion of TNF-αand IL-6,as well as the generation of reactive oxygen species inside the cells,thereby stabilizing the mitochondrial membrane potential and reducing DNA *** ethanol-induced cellular necrosis was also reversed by the administration of benzydamine ***:Benzydamine hydrochloride ameliorates ethanol-induced cell apoptosis and inflammation in RAW macrophages.

Electromagnetic forming （EmF） is a high velocity forming process that uses impulse magnetic force. Coil is an important component of EmF system which needs to be designed depending on application. Flat spiral coils are generally used for electromagnetic forming of sheet metals. However, with this type of coil the central portion of the workpiece experiences marginal magnetic force. This leads to in-sufficient deformation at this portion and other problems like air entrapment. In this study, a conceptual design of flat coil was proposed for better distribution of magnetic forces over the workpiece. Comparative analysis of distribution of magnetic force, magnetic field and current density using the proposed and the existing coil designs were carried out using FEm. The result indicates that the proposed coil design produces comparatively better magnetic force distribution over the workpiece. Calculation of self-inductance of such coils was also carried out and was compared with FE simulation.

In this paper, we explore the possibility of mapping devices designed in TCAD environment to its modeled version developed in cadence virtuoso environment using a look-up table （LUT） approach. Circuit simu- lation of newly designed devices in TCAD environment is a very slow and tedious process involving complex scripting. Hence, the LUT based modeling approach has been proposed as a faster and easier alternative in ca- dence environment. The LUTs are prepared by extracting data from the device characteristics obtained from device simulation in TCAD. A comparative study is shown between the TCAD simulation and the LUT-based alternative to showcase the accuracy of modeled devices. Finally the look-up table approach is used to evaluate the perform- ance of circuits implemented using 14 nm nmOSFET.

The seismotectonic characteristics of ten repeated earthquake swarm sequence within a seismic cluster along Jiali Fault in eastern Himalayan Syntaxis(EHS) have been *** swarms are spatially disposed in and around Yigong Lake(a natural lake formed by blocking of Yigong River by landslide) and are characterized by low magnitude,crustal events with low to moderate b ***:mb discriminant functions though indicate anomalous nature of the earthquakes within swarm but are considered as natural events that occurred under condition of high apparent stress and stress *** fault plane solutions of selected swarms indicate strike-slip sense of shear on fault planes;solution parameters show low plunging compression and tensional axes along NW-SE and NE-SW respectively with causative fault plane oriented *** steeply towards south or *** fault plane is in excellent agreement with the disposition and tectonic movement registered by right lateral Jiali *** process of pore pressure perturbation and resultant ’r—t plot’ with modelled diffusivity(D = 0.12 m^2/s) relates the diffusion of pore pressure to seismic sequence in a fractured poro-elastic fluid saturated medium at average crustal depth of 15-20 *** low diffusivity depicts a highly fractured interconnected medium that is generated due to high stress activity near the eastern syntaxial bent of *** is proposed that hydro fracturing with respect to periodic pore pressure variations is responsible for generation of swarms in the *** fluid pressure generated due to shearing and infiltrations of surface water within dilated seismogenic fault(Jiali Fault) are causative factors.

We analyze the energy performance of a complete adiabatic circuit/system including the Power Clock Generator （PCG） at the 90 nm CmOS technology node. The energy performance in terms of the conversion efficiency of the PCG is extensively carried out under the variations of supply voltage, process comer and the driver transistor＇s width. We propose an energy-efficient singe cycle control circuit based on the two-stage comparator for the synchronous charge recovery sinusoidal power clock generator （PCG）. The proposed PCG is used to drive the 4-bit adiabatic Ripple Carry Adder （RCA） and their simulation results are compared with the adiabatic RCA driven by the reported PCG. We have also simulated the logically equivalent static CmOS RCA circuit to compare the energy saving of adiabatic and non-adiabatic logic circuits. In the clock frequency range from 25 mHz to 1GHz, the proposed PCG gives a maximum conversion efficiency of 56.48%. This research work shows how the design of an efficient PCG increases the energy saving of adiabatic logic.

With the emerging migration of automotive and other distributed control platforms from federated to integrated architectures, the need for optimal utilization of ECU （electronic control unit） bandwidth will become a key requirement in the implementation of embedded control features. This paper advocates the partitioning of the operating space of the plant and the use of minimal sampling rates in each partition without compromising the overall quality of control. At the heart of the proposed methodology are our algorithms that enable the choice of the partitions and the sampling rate for each partition. We demonstrate the efficacy of our methods on two case studies, namely an anti-lock braking system and a lane departure warning system. We also study the use of a supervisory controller that controls the switching among sampling rates for a combination of the two features.

This paper delineates the effect of nonplanar structure of Fin FETs on noise performance. We demonstrate the thermal noise analytical model that has been inferred by taking into account the presence of an additional inverted region in the extended（underlap） S/D region due to finite gate electrode thickness. Noise investigation includes the effects of source drain resistances which become significant as channel length becomes shorter. In this paper, we evaluate the additional noise caused by three dimensional（3-D） structure of the single fin device and then extended analysis of the multi-fin and multi-fingers structure. The addition of fringe field increases its minimum noise figure and noise resistance of approximately 1 d B and 100Ω respectively and optimum admittance increases to 5.45 mΩ at 20 GHz for a device operating under saturation region. Hence, our transformed model plays a significant function in evaluation of accurate noise performance at circuit level.

Cultivation of bay leaves （Cinnamomum tamalaNees ＆ Eberm） to fulfil household income needs is a long established practice in Udayapur district of Nepal. The practices adopted by farmers for bay leaf harvesting have not, however, been validated by scientific investigation for their sustainability. To investigate the impacts of harvesting on the yield of branch, leaves and biomass of leaves, a two-year research project was conducted in farm fields at kopche village of Routa VDC in Udayapur district, Nepal. Four different harvesting treatments, the orien-tation and the order of branches were taken as independent variables to test their effects on number of branches, leaves and biomass of leaves. Orientation, harvesting treatments and order of branches had a significant effect on the number of branches, but not on the number of leaves or biomass （fresh and dry weight） of leaves in the year of harvest. Between two consecutive harvests there was no significant difference in the num-ber of branches, leaves or biomass. Lower two-thirds portion of the trees produced the largest number of leaves and branches of the fourth order in both years. Therefore, lower two-thirds portion of the trees were suitable for harvesting. Our findings support farmer experience that no change in productivity of leaves is observed when harvesting each year. For long term sustainability, harvesting should be conducted without debarking of trees or damage to branches. Our findings could be extrapolated to and tested in other areas with different access and user rights where the rota-tion for harvest is fixed or regulated without research evidence.
