evolution of In783 alloy in microstructure and properties enduring different service times

Impact, tensile, and fatigue tests were performed in In783 alloy serving 4000, 23,000 and 48,000 h. The microstructure was then analysed by optical microscopy(OM), scanning electron microscopy(SeM), and transmission electron microscopy(TeM) to probe the relationship between microstructure and properties. The results show that a new Ni_(5)Al_(3) phase is found, which grows gradually in β phase with serving time increasing,destroying the martensitic structure of the β phase, and degenerating the toughness of the β phase(approximately13.88% reduction). Therefore, the degradation of the βphase results in a sharp dropping of the resistance to stress accelerated grain boundary oxygen(SAGBO) during serving;thus, the intergranular fracture morphology degree increases with duration of service(almost 40% increase from the fractured surface). In addition, the strength of alloy will be gradually enhanced when the γ'phase becomes relatively bulky with serving time increasing due to considerable distortion of the dislocations as a result of the spacing of individual particles, in which any movement of the dislocation will have to overcome a larger number of obstacles per unit length.

Cracks have consistently been a significant challenge limiting the development of additive manufactured nickel-based *** is essential to investigate the location of cracks and their forming *** study extensively examines the impact of solidification process,microstructural evolution,and stress concentration on crack initiation during direct energy deposition(DeD).The results emphasize that the crack formation is significantly related to large-angle grain boundaries,rapid cooling *** caused by large-angle grain boundaries and a fast-cooling rate predominantly appear near the edge of the deposited *** cracks are more likely to form near the top of the deposited sample,due to the presence ofγ/γ'*** secondary dendritic arm and the carbides in the interdendritic regions can obstruct liquid flow during the final stage of solidification,which results in the formation of solidification cracks and *** work paves the way to avoid cracks in nickel-based superalloys fabricated by DeD,thereby enhancing the performance of superalloys.

This study endeavors to formulate a comprehensive methodology for establishing a Geological Knowledge Base(GKB) tailored to fracture-cavity reservoir outcrops within the North Tarim Basin. The acquisition of quantitative geological parameters was accomplished through diverse means such as outcrop observations, thin section studies, unmanned aerial vehicle scanning, and high-resolution cameras. Subsequently, a three-dimensional digital outcrop model was generated, and the parameters were standardized. An assessment of traditional geological knowledge was conducted to delineate the knowledge framework, content, and system of the GKB. The basic parameter knowledge was extracted using multiscale fine characterization techniques, including core statistics, field observations, and microscopic thin section analysis. Key mechanism knowledge was identified by integrating trace elements from filling, isotope geochemical tests, and water-rock simulation experiments. Significant representational knowledge was then extracted by employing various methods such as multiple linear regression, neural network technology, and discriminant classification. Subsequently, an analogy study was performed on the karst fracture-cavity system(KFCS) in both outcrop and underground reservoir settings. The results underscored several key findings:(1) Utilization of a diverse range of techniques,including outcrop observations, core statistics, unmanned aerial vehicle scanning, high-resolution cameras, thin section analysis, and electron scanning imaging, enabled the acquisition and standardization of data. This facilitated effective management and integration of geological parameter data from multiple sources and scales.(2) The GKB for fracture-cavity reservoir outcrops, encompassing basic parameter knowledge, key mechanism knowledge, and significant representational knowledge, provides robust data support and systematic geological insights for the intricate and in-depth examination of the genetic

We report the development of a head-mounted photoacoustic fiberscope for cerebral imaging in a freely behaving *** 4.5-gram imaging probe has a 9-µm lateral resolution and 0.2-Hz frame rate over a 1.2-mm wide *** probe can continuously monitor cerebral oxygenation and hemodynamic responses at single-vessel resolution,showing significantly different cerebrovascular responses to external stimuli under anesthesia and in the freely moving *** example,when subjected to high-concentration CO_(2) respiration,enhanced oxygenation to compensate for hypercapnia can be visualized due to cerebral regulation in the freely moving *** studies exhibit significantly weakened compensation capabilities in obese *** new imaging modality can be used for investigating both normal and pathological cerebrovascular functions and shows great promise for studying cerebral activity,disorders and their treatments.
