＜正＞Simplified one-step analysis of sheet metal forming is increasingly used in automobile industry since it can promptly predict the formability of final pans during the early design stage. This method is however based on an implicit static algorithm and suffers from convergence problems because of its strong nonlinearity. A remedy is a robust initial guess method for these convergence problems. This paper proposes a new initial guess method for one-step analysis. The blank mesh as an initial guess is obtained from inverse elastic deformation based on the known shape of a final three dimensional part. An accurate incremental simulation is too time-consuming and lack of tool information during the design stage to be achieved. We applied one-step analysis to obtain the changed properties of stamped vehicle parts resulted from forming process in order to consider forming effects in the side impact analysis of ULSAB-AVC. The mesh from a crash model is used as input data. For treatment of vertical and undercutting walls we also propose a new technique which has proven to be essential and efficient when dealing with complicated parts. It is concluded that this new initial guess method and the treatment of vertical and undercutting walls play an important role in obtaining a good initial guess for auto-body stamping parts. It is well demonstrated that the one-step analysis is a simple and effective method to generate the stamping results for crash simulation with forming effects.

Recent growth of modern industry requires multi-functional inorganic and micron-sized fibers. In this study, we suggested a novel method that could offer a high-efficient dieless drawing technology for manufacturing thin metal fibers based on the hot working principle. Microwave was used as the heat source. Experimental trials on a laboratory rig showed that the new system worked effectively and provided the feasibility in realizing the diameter attenuation up to 20 % diameter reduction. The theoretical model describing the wire deformation behavior in the working zone turned out to be in a good accordance to the experiment partly. Discrepancy in the hot zone near the exit could be attributed to the heat loss in the heat chamber. The coefficient of variation of the drawn wire diameter increased, as the draw ratio increased, which indicated that an ironing step would be needed to improve the evenness of the wire diameter.

Gene expression analysis of primary normal human hepatocytes infected with human hepatitis B virus

AIM： To find the relationship between hepatitis B virus （HBV） and hepatocytes during the initial state of infection by cDNA microarray. METHODS： Primary normal human hepatocytes （PNHHs） were isolated and infected with HBV. From the PNHHs, RNA was isolated and inverted into complement DNA （cDNA） with Cy3- or Cy5- labeled dUTP for microarray analysis. The labeled cDNA was hybridized with microarray chip, including 4224 cDNAs. From the image of the microarray, expression profiles were produced and some of them were confirmed by RT-PCR, immunoblot analysis, and NF-κB luciferase reporter assay. RESULTS： From the cDNA microarray, we obtained 98 differentially regulated genes. Of the 98 genes, 53 were up regulated and 45 down regulated. Interestingly, in the up regulated genes, we found the TNF signaling pathway-related genes： LT-α, TRAF2, and NIK. By using RT-PCR, we confirmed the up-regulation of these genes in HepG2, huhT, and Chang liver cells, which were transfected with pHBV1.2x, a plasmid encoding all HBV messages. Moreover, these three genes participated in HBV- mediated NF-κB activation. CONCLUSION： During the initial state of HBV infection, hepatocytes facilitate the activation of NF-κB through up regulation of LT-α, TRAF2, and NIK.

Oxygen Induced Limitation on Grain Growth in RF Sputtered Indium Tin Oxide Thin Films

ITO （indium tin oxide） thin films were deposited onto glass substrates by RF （radio frequency） magnetron sputtering to study variation of grain growth in pure argon and 99% argon plus 1% oxygen at different substrate temperatures. The average grain size increased with the increasing substrate temperature in pure argon. However, in oxygen presence environment the grain growth is limited at above 150 ℃. The films optoelectronic properties were evaluated. It was found that 200 nm ITO films prepared at 220 ℃ substrate temperature in pure argon possessed optimum sheet resistance of 10 Ω/sq. The transmittance oflTO films was enhanced with increasing the substrate temperature in pure argon but limited by the presence of excess oxygen.

Herein,we report on surface plasmon(SP)-sensitive semitransparent inverted polymer photovoltaic(PV)devices that are based on multilayered material systems consisting of poly(3-hexylthiophene):fullerene-derivative bulk-heterojunction PV layers and thin gold or silver *** demonstrate that these PV devices allow the simultaneous generation of both electrical power and SPs on their anodes for photoexcitation just above the optical absorption edge of the PV layers,resulting not only in attenuated total reflection,but also in attenuated photocurrent generation(APG)under the SP resonance(SPR)***,we also confirm that the biomolecular interaction of biotin–streptavidin on the PV devices can be precisely detected via apparent SPR angle shifts in the APG spectra,even without the need for complex attenuated total reflection *** highlight our view that APG measurements made using these PV devices show great potential for the development of future generations of compact and highly sensitive SPR-based optical sensors.

Direct alloying of nickel oxide in a hot simulator of LD converter was investigated in *** rate of nickel oxide in steelmaking process was analyzed with the test results. Under the condition oflower slag viscosity, the reduction rate of NiO increases and the [Ni] yield rises. When the slag viscosity is higher, a lot of metal particles with higher Ni content are contained in the slag so as to decrease the [Ni] yield.

This study evaluated fatigue crack growth characteristics, Besides consider compressive residual stress effect and verified the most suitable shot peening velocity. Fatigue crack growth delay effect was compressive residual stress, but over peening did action projecting velocity that accelerate fatigue crack growth rate. X-ray diffraction technique according to crack length direction was applied to fatigue fractured surface. Fracture mechanics parameters could be estimated by the measurement of X-ray parameters, and the fractography observation was performed using a scanning electron microscope （SEM） for fatigue fracture surface. As the shot peening velocity increases, striation width increased. The changes in X-ray material parameters described above are directly related to the process of fatigue until the initiation of fatigue crack and X-ray diffraction pattern is thought that failure prediction with stress distribution is possible.

Comparison of linac-based fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy and tomotherapy treatment plans for intra-cranial tumors

This study compares and analyzes stereotactic radiotherapy using tomotherapy and linac-based fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy in the treatment of intra-cranial tumors,according to some *** this study,linac-based fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy and tomotherapy treatment were administered to five patients diagnosed with intra-cranial cancer in which the dose of 18–20 Gy was applied on 3–5 separate *** tumor dosing was decided by evaluating the inhomogeneous index （II） and conformity index （CI）.Also,the radiation-sensitive tissue was evaluated using low dose factors V1,V2,V3,V4,V5,and V10,as well as the non-irradiation ratio volume （NIV）.The values of the II for each prescription dose in the linacbased non-coplanar radiotherapy plan and tomotherapy treatment plan were （0.125±0.113） and （0.090±0.180）,respectively,and the values of the CI were （0.899±0.149） and （0.917±0.114）,*** low dose areas,V1,V2,V3,V4,V5,and V10,in radiation-sensitive tissues in the linac-based non-coplanar radiotherapy plan fell into the ranges 0.3%–95.6%,0.1%–87.6%,0.1%–78.8%,38.8%–69.9%,26.6%–65.2%,and 4.2%–39.7%,respectively,and the tomotherapy treatment plan had ranges of 13.6%–100%,3.5%–100%,0.4%–94.9%,0.2%– 82.2%,0.1%–78.5%,and 0.3%–46.3%,*** the NIV for each organ,it is possible to obtain similar values except for the irradiation area of the brain *** percentages of NIV10%,NIV20%,and NIV30%for the brain stem in each patient were 15%–99.8%,33.4%–100%,and 39.8%–100%,respectively,in the fractionated stereotactic treatment plan and 44.2%–96.5%,77.7%–99.8%,and 87.8%–100%,respectively,in the tomotherapy treatment *** order to achieve higher-quality treatment of intra-cranial tumors,treatment plans should be tailored according to the isodose target volume,inhomogeneous index,conformity index,position of the tumor upon fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery,and radiation dosage for radiation-sensitive tissues.

Integrated Testing Environment of Instructor Station for SMART Simulator

SMART is the reactor that has been researched for many years by KAERI in order to provide the small-mid scale of power for typically seawater desalination. Now Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) has issued Standard Safety Analysis Report (SSAR) and acquired Standard Design Approval (SDA) for SMART. In order to conduct the design verification and validation for license, the integrated simulation test environment that is composed of 1) the system specific simulation codes formerly developed in the name of Nuclear Plant Analyzer (NPA) including NSSS and BOP simulation, 2) Instructor Station (IS), 3) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), 4) operator and instructor Human Machine Interface (HMI), and 5) soft-controller has been considered as an important area for operator training and system validation. These sub-components has been designed and implemented for verifying and validating the SMART design and training of operators and for generating the backup data for licensing. This paper introduces the structure of integrated simulation test environment for SMART, explains the efforts to assist system-specific simulation code interface, and also addresses the effort for implementing and optimizing the test environment by maintaining its own simulation functionality and performance in order to review the simulation results efficiently.
