Tumor-protein 53(p53)is a transcription factor(TF)encoded by Tp53(Trp53 in mice)and is a master regulator of tumor-suppressive programs'.Importantly,Tp53 is the most frequently mutated gene in human cancer,and its loss of function contributes to tumor development,exemplified by variable p53 mutations detected in 50%-75%of pancreatic cancers.2 From these perceptions,a number of targets transcribed by p53 that confer tumor suppression have been ***,our understanding of how p53 prevents normal cells from initiating tumorigenesis is still *** complement this limitation,herein,we established a new approach to identify underlying effectors transcribed by p53 in normal physiology.

Nano-sized trinitrotoluene(TNT) material restrained in silica gel has been prepared by using the sol-gel process to study the effect of varying porosity in gel on the sensitivity of TNT. The TNT content in the gel has been varied from 60 to 90 wt %(at fixed acetone/tetramethoxysilane ratio of 50). Also, for a fixed TNT content of 75 wt %, the pore structure in the gel has been varied by changing the ratio of silica gel precursor to the solvent. The resultant TNT–silica gel composites have been characterized using scanning electron microscopy, thermal analysis, small angle X-ray scattering and surface area analysis techniques. Impact sensitivity studies were carried out using Fall hammer Impact Test. The results showed that the sensitivity of nanostructured explosives prepared by sol-gel process can be tailored precisely by controlling the process parameters.

Slot discharge studies are very important from the insulation diagnosis *** in practice,testing of rotating machines with power frequency requires sources which are quite bulky and *** if the diagnosis is carried out at lower frequencies(be reduced ***,it is important to know whether the study at low frequencies can be considered equivalent to study at power ***,in this study,a slot discharge phenomenon occurring in a rotating machine insulation system was investigated experimentally at different frequencies(50,10,1 and 0.1 Hz).Slot discharges are known to have a distinct phase resolved partial discharge pattern for power frequency(50/60 Hz)*** distinct patterns are useful in identifying the presence of slot discharge activity in rotating *** discharges were created on a 6.6 kV mica-epoxy stator coil and the slot discharge characteristics measured at different frequencies are *** discharge measurements were repeated by varying the air gap between the insulation surface and grounded steel *** changes in slot discharge characteristics due to the increase in air gap were found similar at all *** comparison suggests that the identification of slot discharge is also possible from the partial discharge(pD)measurement at low frequencies.

The Raman spectra of monoclinic NdAl_(3)(bO_(3))_(4 )(NAb)have been recorded and interpreted・A factor group analysis of the NAb space group shows that there are 25A_(g) and 26b_(g) Raman-active modes,and 34A_(U) and 35b_(U) IR-active modes.A discussion of the assignment of the individual Raman lines was given・The predicted factor group splittings for the internal modes of bO_(3 )anion were observed and interpreted.

Al-doped ZnO(AZO) is considered as an alternative to transparent conductive oxide *** and achieving a stable surface are important challenges in the development and optimization of dry etching processes, which must be overcome for the application of AZO in various devices. Therefore, in this study, the etch rate and surface properties of an AZO thin film after plasma etching using the adaptive coupled plasma system were investigated. The fastest etch rate was achieved with a CF_(4)/Ar ratio of 50:50 sccm. Regardless of the ratio of CF_(4) to Ar,the transmittance of the film in the visible region exceeded 80%. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis of the AZO thin film confirmed that metal-F bonding persists on the surface after plasma etching. It was also shown that F eliminates O vacancies. Consequently, the work function and bandgap energy increased as the ratio of CF-4 increased. This study not only provides information on the effect of plasma on AZO thin film, but identifies the cause of changes in the device characteristics during device fabrication.

To study the difference in the accumulation of bioactive constituents in Spine gourd(Momordica dioica Roxb.),the changes in its phenolic compounds at mature green(fruit utilized)and ripe red(fruit wasted)stages were analysed,and it was correlated with their antioxidant and anthelmintic *** highest total phenolic content was observed in ripe peel ethyl acetate(RpEA),tannins in ripe seed hexane(RSH)and flavonoid in ripe peel ethanol(RpE)***–MS analysis identified 15 phenolic compounds in the *** highest antioxidant potential was shown by RSH in DppH(IC_(50)1.47 mg/ml),RpEA in AbTS(IC_(50)2.40 mg/ml),and mature peel water(MpeW)extract in FRAp assays(0.58μg trolox equivalent per g dw).RpE induced the highest anthelmintic activity against Caenorhabditis elegans in egg hatch assay(LC_(50)-0.02 mg/ml),and adult worm mortality assay(LC_(50)-1.44 mg/ml),as well as 100%death of infective juveniles in Heterorhabditis indica(50 mg/ml).Correlation studies and principal Component Analysis(pCA)indicated the relationship of catechins,quercetin,kaempferol,rutin,and gallic acid to anthelmintic *** study showed that the ripe stage of Spine gourd,which gets disposed of as postharvest waste,had better anthelmintic activity,and it can be utilized for the development of food formulations with anthelmintic potential.

Objective:To study the comparative gastroprotective effect of Luffa acutangula methanolic extract(LAM) and aqueous extract(LAW) on typeⅡdiabetes ***:Streptozotocin(65 mg/kg,Lp.) along with nicotinamide(120 mg/kg,Lp.) was used to induce non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM) in rats.A daily oral dose of aspirin(200 mg/kg,Lp.) was administered for initial seven days to induce gastric ulcerations in the diabetic *** and LAW were administered orally in the doses of 100,200 and 400 mg/kg once daily for 21 *** and ranitidine were used as standards for comparing the antidiabetic and antiulcer effect ***:LAM significantly(pprotein and antioxidant enzyme level in gastric mucosa of diabetic rats than LAW(p betic rats close to the normal *** exhibited better ulcer healing effect than glibenclamide and LAW,because of its both antihyperglycemic and mucosal defensive ***:Thus,LAM is proved to be a better alternative for treating gastric ulcers co-occurring with diabetes.

Large-area bulk ultrafine grained （UFG） pure Cu was successfully prepared by multiple-pass overlapping friction stir processing （FSp） under additional rapid cooling. Overlapping FSp did not exert a significant effect on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the FSp UFG Cu. Similar average grain size was achieved in the transitional zone （TZ） of the multiple-pass FSp sample compared to that in the nugget zone of the single-pass FSp sample, and the TZ exhibited a strong {111}（112） type A fiber shear texture, Very weak softening occurred in the TZ of the multiple-pass FSp UFG Cu, resulting in a relatively uniform hardness distribution throughout the whole processed zone. A high yield strength of - 310 Mpa and a uniform elongation of - 13% were achieved in the bulk FSp UFG Cu. This study provides an effective strategy to prepare large-area bulk IUFG materials.
