School difficulties are common in children cancer survivors and may be prognostic for the success of the patient social reintegration after the ***,we carry out a narrative review of the literature from 2001 to 2022 to assess the school difficulties of these patients,the predictive factors of these difficulties,and the possible long-term *** punctuate this review the practical point-of-view of a teacher dedicated to our hospital,who works with children with chronic diseases such as ***,we expose possible barriers and solutions to improve the scholar reintegration and limit the impact of cancer on the academic achievement.

The public's participation rate in performing arts in Hong Kong has historically been low,and the Arts Participation and Consumption Survey in 2018 indicated that the primary reason was 4a lack of interest*and that education in the arts could increase public *** survey data clearly indicate the significance of education as a driver to develop future *** are nine major performing arts organisations funded by the Hong Kong government,and they share the responsibility of shaping the performing arts *** study explored the role of outreach and education within these major performing arts organisations and how they impact audience *** addition to document analysis and fieldwork,the researcher interviewed five cultural leaders from the nine performing arts *** findings of this study indicate that while the organisations*outreach and education engagement help to achieve various important educational goals,direct impact on ticket sales is not easily quantifiable and may occur in the long *** study concludes by offering a proposed conceptual framework for outreach and education when they are positioned in non-profit performing arts *** four layers in the proposed conceptual framework involve cognitive,affective,ethical,and behavioural *** contributes to reframing the conceptualisation of audience development for the performing arts and sheds new light on the future of outreach and education in arts organisations and policymaking in arts and culture,with far-reaching implications for other non-profit cultural organisations in Hong Kong and globally.

This study explores the controversy surrounding the translation of the name of a new cultural infrastructure in Hong Kong,specifically related to the cultural heritage of traditional Chinese *** first performing arts landmark in Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District was named the Xiqu Centre;the term xiqu is a Hanyu pinyin representing traditional Chinese *** this translation issue has been intensely debated for over a decade,it remains unexplored in the *** reference to Venuti's translation strategies of foreignization and domestication,this study examines the Hong Kong public's views on the translation of the name of this cultural landmark and the underlying drivers of their *** uses internet-based surveys,semi-structured interviews with the public,and interviews with experts as data *** results revealed that factors of(1)aesthetics and artistry,(2)cultural identity,and(3)publicity and internationalization have contributed to public *** study^findings shed new light on how translation interacts with cultural,social,and political factors by examining how Hong Kong’s unique historical relationship with China and the West has played a role in this translation *** findings have significant implications for the translation of culture-bound elements and the transmission of cultural heritage in Hong Kong and worldwide.

An air pollution forecast system,ARIA Regional,was implemented in 2007–2008 at the Beijing Municipality Environmental Monitoring Center,providing daily forecast of main pollutant *** chemistry-transport model CHIMERE was coupled with the dust emission model MB95 for restituting dust storm events in springtime so as to improve forecast *** storm events were sporadic but could be extremely intense and then control air quality indexes close to the source areas but also far in the Beijing area.A dust episode having occurred at the end of May 2008 was analyzed in this article,and its impact of particulate matter on the Chinese air pollution index （API） was *** our estimation,about 23 Tg of dust were emitted from source areas in Mongolia and in the Inner Mongolia of China,transporting towards *** episode of dust storm influenced a large part of North China and East China,and also South *** model result was then evaluated using satellite observations and in situ *** simulated daily concentrations of total suspended particulate at 6：00 UTC had a similar spatial pattern with respect to OMI satellite aerosol *** evolution of dust plume was evaluated by comparing dust aerosol optical depth （AOD） calculated from the simulations with AOD derived from MODIS satellite ***,the comparison of reported Chinese API in Beijing with API calculated from the simulation including dust emissions had showed the significant improvement of the model results taking into accountmineral dust correctly.

This investigation delves into the extraction dynamics of 22 per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances from PFAS contaminated firefighting *** distinct test sets were executed:one contrasting a commercial product with water following an elaborate decontamination procedure,and the other assessing seven washing agents on materials from firefighting installations,with one agent examined at 22℃and 50℃.A general tendency for improved desorption at the higher temperature was ***,a discernible influence of the cleaning agent's pH on the extraction of specific PFAS species was observed,elucidating the role of chemical environment in the extraction *** rebound was studied for a period of up to 157 days,this unveiled a gradual escalation in PFAS22 levels,indicative of a protracted desorption ***,PFAS with abbreviated carbon chains(C4-C6)exhibit superior desorption efficiency compared to their elongated congeners,suggesting a chain-lengthdependent decontamination potential.A comparative scrutiny between a commercially available cleaning product,featuring multiple washing and flushing steps,and a water-only treatment regimen underscores the potential efficacy of the *** exhaustive investigation furnishes nuanced insights into PFAS extraction complexities,offering a foundation for informed decontamination strategies.

Members of the Rho family of GTPases are key regulators of the actin *** particular,activated Rac 1stimulates membrane dorsal ruffle formation in response to platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF).Abl-interactor (Abi)-1 and βPIX,a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Rac 1,localise at these Rac1-induced actin structures and playimportant roles in the induction of membrane dorsal ruffling in response to PDGF in ***,we demonstratea novel interaction between Abi-1 and βPIX using the yeast two-hybrid system,in vitro pull-down assays,and in vivoco-immunoprecipitation *** vitro,the C-terminal fragment of ]3PIX interacted with Abi-1,while in vivo theN-terminal fragment of βPIX interacted with *** biological function of this interaction was investigated in mousefibroblasts in response to PDGF ***-1 and βPIX co-localised in the cytoplasm and to membrane dorsalruffles after PDGF *** show that the co-expression of Abi-1 and truncated forms of βPIX in mouse fibroblastsblocked PDGF-induced membrane dorsal ***,these results show that the interaction between Abi-1 andβPIX is involved in the formation of growth factor-induced membrane dorsal ruffles.
