This review article summarizes the current understanding and recent updates to tropical cyclone outer size and structure forecasting and research primarily since 2018 as part of the World Meteorological Organization's 10th International Workshop on Tropical Cyclones.A more complete understanding of tropical cyclone outer wind and precipitation is key to anticipating storm intensification and the scale and magnitude of landfalling *** first discuss the relevance of tropical cyclone outer size and structure,improvements in our understanding of its life cycle and inter-basin variability,and the processes that impact outer size *** next focus on current forecasting practices and differences among warning centers,recent advances in operational forecasting,and new observations of the storm outer wind *** also summarize recent research on projected tropical cyclone outer size and structure changes by the late 21st ***,we discuss recommendations for the future of tropical cyclone outer size forecasting and research.

Cardiovascular diseases in general and atherothrombosis as the most common of its individualdisease entities is the leading cause of death in the developed ***,visualizationand characterization of inner arterial plaque composition is of vital diagnostic interest,especilly for the early recognition of vulnerable *** clinical techniques provide valuablemorphological information but cannot deliver information about the chemicai composition ofindividual ***,spectroscopic imaging techniques have recently drawn consider-able *** on the spectroscopic properties of the individual plaque components,as forinstance diferent types of lipids,the composition of atherosclerotic plaques can be analyzedqualitatively as well as ***,we compare the feasibility of multimodal nonlinearimaging combining,two-photon fluorescence(TPf),coherent anti-Stokes Raman scatering(CARS)and second-hamonic generation(SHG)microscopy to contrast composition and mor-phology of lipid deposits against the surrounding matrix of connective tissue with diffractionlimited spatial *** this contribution,the spatial distribution of major constituents of the arterial wall and atherosclerotic plaques like elastin,collagen,triglycerides and cholesterol can be simultaneously visualized by a combination of nonlinear imaging methods,providing a powerful label-free complement to standard histopathological methods with great potential forin vivo application.

目的　探讨HpcagⅡ对胃上皮细胞IL 8基因转录的影响及信号传导机制。方法　构建cagⅡ基因位点缺失Hp突变株及带有IL 8报告基因的人胃癌细胞系L5f11,用液体闪烁计数仪测定荧光素酶 (IL 8转录 )活性 ,用ELISA法测定IL 8蛋白浓度。结果　所有Hp突变株诱导荧光素酶活性与IL 8蛋白浓度较亲代菌株 2 6 6 95均降低 [(0 .13± 0 .0 1)× 10 6cpm比 (0 .5 9± 0 .0 5 )× 10 6cpm (P fα诱导的荧光素酶活性及IL 8蛋白表达均无影响 (P均 >0 .0 5 ) ;PKA抑制剂H7抑制TNfα诱导的荧光素酶活性 [(0 .74± 0 .16 )× 10 6cpm比 (2 .6 2± 0 .2 6 )× 10 6cpm ,(P 0 .0 5 )。结论　HpcagⅡ中的多个基因能够调节胃上皮细胞IL 8基因转录。

This study investigates the effects of changes in local macroeconomic risk factors on returns on the banking,chemicals,insurance,telecommunication,and utilities industries in the *** a multifactor pricing model and data from 1998:01 to 2017:12,empirical results show that the banking,chemical,and telecommunication industries show more differences in their stock reactions to local macroeconomic risk *** insurance and telecommunication industries do not react significantly to risk ***,all the industries show strong reactions to local market portfolio.

Over the past few decades,polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)has become the material of choice for a variety of microsystem applications,including microfluidics,imprint lithography,and soft *** most of these applications,PDMS is processed by replication molding;however,new applications would greatly benefit from the ability to pattern PDMS films using lithography and *** hardmasks,in conjunction with reactive ion etching(RIE),have been reported as a method for patterning PDMS;however,this approach suffers from a high surface roughness because of metal redeposition and limited etch thickness due to poor etch *** found that a combination of LOR and SU8 photoresists enables the patterning of thick PDMS layers by RIE without redeposition *** demonstrate the ability to etch 1.5-μm pillars in PDMS with a selectivity of ***,we use this process to lithographically process flexible fluidic microactuators without any manual transfer or cutting *** actuator achieves a bidirectional rotation of 50°at a pressure of 200 *** process provides a unique opportunity to scale down these actuators as well as other PDMS-based devices.

Two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors possess strongly bound excitons,opening novel opportunities for engineering light-matter interaction at the ***,their in-plane confinement leads to large non-radiative exciton–exciton annihilation(EEA)processes,setting a fundamental limit for their photonic *** this work,we demonstrate suppression of EEA via enhancement of light-matter interaction in hybrid 2D semiconductor-dielectric nanophotonic platforms,by coupling excitons in WS2 monolayers with optical Mie resonances in dielectric *** hybrid system reaches an intermediate light-matter coupling regime,with photoluminescence enhancement factors up to *** the exciton ultrafast dynamics reveal suppressed EEA for coupled excitons,even under high exciton densities>10^(12)cm^(−2).We extract EEA coefficients in the order of 10^(−3),compared to 10^(−2)for uncoupled monolayers,as well as a Purcell factor of *** results highlight engineering the photonic environment as a route to achieve higher quantum efficiencies,for low-power hybrid devices,and larger exciton densities,towards strongly correlated excitonic phases in 2D semiconductors.

Optical microscopy is an indispensable tool in biomedical sciences,but its reach in deep tissues is limited due to aberrations and *** problem can be overcome by wavefront-shaping techniques,albeit at limited fields of view(fOVs).Inspired by astronomical imaging,conjugate wavefront shaping can lead to an increased field of view in microscopy,but this correction is limited to a set depth and cannot be dynamically ***,we present a conjugate wavefront-shaping scheme based on focus scanning holographic aberration probing(f-SHARP).We combine it with a compact implementation that can be readily adapted to a variety of commercial and home-built two-photon *** demonstrate the power of the method by imaging with high resolution over extended fOV(>80μm)deeper than 400μm inside a mouse brain through a thinned skull.
