Electroacupuncture Promotes Angiogenesis in Mice with Cerebral Ischemia by Inhibiting miR-7

Rate and Change in Household Solid Fuels Usage Among Residents Aged 40 and Older — China, from 201.–201. to 201.–2020

Introduction:Solid fuel combustion is a significant source of household air pollution and an important risk factor for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).This study presents the rates and change in the use of solid fuels for cooking and heating in ***:Based on data from the Chinese Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Surveillance,the research estimated the rates and change of solid fuels usage for cooking and heating from 201.–201. to 201.–2020 and the rate of primary cooking solid fuels usage in 201.–2020,and analyzed the association between solid fuels usage and ***:The rates of solid fuels usage for cooking and heating significantly decreased,dropping from 45.3%to 28.0%and from 33.5%to 23.2%,*** rates were higher among rural residents,with 47.2%using it for cooking and 37.7%for heating in *** usage of solid fuels for cooking is associated with increased risk of *** rural residents,combined usage of biomass and coal for cooking(OR=1.29,95%CI:1.1.,1.48)and using coal as primary fuel for cooking(OR=1.1.,95%CI:1.00,1.38)are associated with higher risk of *** usage of biomass for cooking is associated with an increased risk of COPD in urban residents(OR=1.1.,95%CI:1.03,1.32).Conclusions:The study demonstrates a significant decline in the use of household solid ***,high utilization rates persist among individuals in rural settings and those from lower socioeconomic *** is of great public health importance to propose targeted fuel substitution measures for various solid fuels in different regions to reduce the risk of COPD.

Enhancing thermoelectric performance of p-type SnTe through manipulating energy band structures and decreasing electronic thermal conductivity

SnTe has received considerable attention as an environmentally friendly alternative to the representative thermoelectric material of ***,excessive hole carrier concentration in SnTe results in an extremely low Seebeck coefficient and high thermal conductivity,which makes it exhibit relatively inferior thermoelectric *** this work,the thermoelectric performance of p-type SnTe is enhanced through regulating its energy band structures and reducing its electronic thermal conductivity by combining Bi doping with CdSe ***,the carrier concentration of SnTe is successfully suppressed via Bi doping,which significantly decreases the electronic thermal ***,the convergence and flattening of the valence bands by alloying CdSe effectively improves the effective mass of SnTe while restraining its carrier ***,a maximum figure of merit(ZT) of~ 0.87 at 823 K and an average ZT of~ 0.51.at 300-823 K have been achieved in Sn_(0.96)Bi_(0.04)Te-5%*** results indicate that decreasing the electronic thermal conductivity is an effective means of improving the performance of thermoelectric materials with a high carrier concentration.

Photon counting technique as a potential tool in micro-defect detection of epoxy insulation pull rod in gas-insulated switchgears

The micro-defects in epoxy-based insulation materials generate a local high electric field which results in continuous degradation,seriously endangering the insulation system of gas-insulated switchgears.A highly sensitive detection technique is reported for micro-defects of insulation pull rods based on the photon counting(PC)*** re-sults demonstrated that for an epoxy-based insulation pull rod,the photons released during electroluminescence and ionisation at 2 kV,which is less than the partial discharge inception voltage,can be clearly *** findings presented a strong correlation between photon counts and defect *** has been conducted to elucidate the mechanism behind defect-induced PC,employing the amplification of ionising luminescence through electric field distortion induced by micro defects and the augmentation of electroluminescence through the aggregation of trap *** this regard,the authors verified that PC can serve as a potential tool in the detection of micro-insulation defects,which also has huge potential in online insulation condition monitoring.

Allelopathic potentials of surrounding vegetation on seedling establishment of alpine cushion Arenaria polytrichoides

When facilitating other species and sustaining plant community structures and biodiversity,alpine cushion plants simultaneously experience negative feedback effects from surrounding ***,the impact of surrounding vegetation on cushion dynamics remains poorly understood,particularly in terms of allelopathic *** investigate the allelopathic potentials of surrounding vegetation on seedling establishment of the typical cushion plant Arenaria polytrichoides *** an elevational gradient,we extracted potential allelopathic compounds and tested their impacts on seed germination and seedling growth of *** addition,exclusion experiments using activated carbon were conducted to further elucidate these *** results demonstrate that surrounding vegetation exhibits certain allelopathic potentials on *** seedling establishment,with variations observed based on elevation,source and concentration of allelopathy compounds,as well as growing ***,low-elevation vegetation exerts pronounced suppression on seedling ***,higher-elevation vegetation generally shows no effect on seed germination but stimulates seedling growth through allelopathy ***,aboveground vegetation predominantly inhibits both seed germination and seedling growth in low-elevation communities;however,the effects of belowground vegetation depend on elevation and extract concentration *** identifed allelopathic potentials of surrounding vegetation signifcantly infuence the population dynamics of cushion *** by potentially accelerating population degeneration in lower-elevation communities while ensuring consistent population recruitment and expansion in higher-elevation communities.

Comprehensive effects of traditional Chinese medicine treatment on heart failure and changes in B-type natriuretic peptide levels: A meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Heart failure(HF),a common cardiovascular condition,is characterized by significant morbidity and *** traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is often used as a complementary approach in HF management,systematic evalua-tions of its impact on clinical outcomes,TCM syndrome scores,and B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP)levels are *** study fills this gap through a comprehensive analysis of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)focusing on TCM for HF *** encompasses an assessment of methodological quality,a meta-analysis,and an evaluation of evidence quality based on established *** results offer crucial insights into the potential advantages and constraints of TCM in HF *** on TCM for HF treatment published since the establishment of the database were searched in four Chinese and English databases,including China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang,VIP Information Chinese Science and Technology Journal,and *** quality was assessed for the included studies with the Cochrane risk-of-bias assessment tool,and the meta-analysis and publication bias assessment was performed with the RevMan5.3 ***,the quality of evidence was rated according to the GRADE *** A total of 1.98 RCTs were initially *** screening,1. Fluorescence Anisotropy(FA)is an effective biochemical detection method based on molecular *** oxide(GO)has been extensively used as an FA ***,the enhancement of FA by GO alone is limited and the strong scattering of GO will easily make the measurement of FA *** order to address these problems,an octopus-like DNA nanostructure(ODN)was designed and coupled with GO to enhance the FA together in this *** mimicking the multi-clawed structure of the octopus,the ODN can be adsorbed on GO tightly,which not only could improve the sensitivity because of the double FA enhancement abilities of GO and ODN,but also could improve the specificity due to the decrease of the nonspecific interaction in complex ***,ODN could maintain a certain distance between the fluorophore and GO to reduce the fluorescence quenching efficiency of GO,which could improve the *** method has been applied for the detection of hepatitis B virus DNA(HBV-DNA)in a range of 1.50 nmol/L and the limit of detection(LOD)was 330 pmol/*** addition,the proposed method has been successfully utilized to detect HBV-DNA in human serum,indicating that this method has a great practical application prospect.

Studies have shown that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)may be associated with sleep *** order to explore the explicit relationship between the two,we systematically reviewed the effects of sleep disorders,especially obstructive sleep apnea(OSA),on the incidence of NAFLD,and analyzed the possible mechanisms after adjusting for confounding *** is independently associated with sleep *** sleep disorders may be the cause of the onset and aggravation of *** excessive or insufficient sleep duration,poor sleep quality,insomnia,sleep-wake disorders,and OSA may increase the incidence of *** that some research suggests a unidirectional causal link between the two,specifically,the onset of NAFLD is identified as a result of changes in sleep characteristics,and the reverse relationship does not hold ***,there is still a lack of specific research elucidating the reasons behind the higher risk of developing sleep disorders in individuals with *** research is needed to establish a clear relationship between NAFLD and sleep *** will lay the groundwork for earlier identification of potential patients,which is crucial for earlier monitoring,diagnosis,effective prevention,and treatment of NAFLD.

RNA viromes of Dermacentor nuttalli ticks reveal a novel uukuvirus in Qinghai Province,China

Ticks are a major parasite on the Qınghai-Tibet Plateau,western China,and represent an economic burden to agriculture and animal *** research on tick-borne pathogens that threaten humans and animals,the viromes of dominant tick species in this area remain *** this study,we collected Dermacentor nuttalli ticks near Qınghai Lake and identified 1. viruses belonging to at least six families through metagenomic *** viruses were of high abundance in pools,including Xınjiang tick-associated virus 1.XJTAV1.,and three novel viruses:Qınghai Lake virus 1.Qınghai Lake virus 2(QHLV1.and QHLV2,unclassified),and Qınghai Lake virus 3(QHLV3,genus Uukuvirus of family Phenuiviridae in order Bunyavirales),which lacks the M *** minimum infection rates of the four viruses in the tick groups were 8.2%,49.5%,6.2%,and 24.7%,respectively,suggesting the prevalence of these viruses in *** ticks.A putative M segment of QHLV3 was identified from the next-generation sequencing data and further characterized for its signal peptide cleavage site,N-glycosylation,and transmembrane ***,we probed the L,M,and S segments of other viruses from sequencing data of other tick pools by using the putative M segment sequence of *** revealing the viromes of *** ticks,this study enhances our understanding of tick-borne viral communities in highland *** putative M segment identified in a novel uukuvirus suggests that previously identified uukuviruses without M segments should have had the same genome organization as typical *** findings will facilitate virus discovery and our understanding of the phylogeny of tick-borne uukuviruses.

Combining lymph node ratio to develop prognostic models for postoperative gastric neuroendocrine neoplasm patients

BACKGROUND Lymph node ratio(LNR)was demonstrated to play a crucial role in the prognosis of many ***,research concerning the prognostic value of LNR in postoperative gastric neuroendocrine neoplasm(NEN)patients was *** To explore the prognostic value of LNR in postoperative gastric NEN patients and to combine LNR to develop prognostic *** A total of 286 patients from the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results database were divided into the training set and validation set at a ratio of 8:2.92 patients from the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University in China were designated as a test *** regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between LNR and disease-specific survival(DSS)of gastric NEN *** survival forest(RSF)algorithm and Cox proportional hazards(CoxPH)analysis were applied to develop models to predict DSS respectively,and compared with the 8th edition American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC)tumornode-metastasis(TNM)*** Multivariate analyses indicated that LNR was an independent prognostic factor for postoperative gastric NEN patients and a higher LNR was accompanied by a higher risk of *** RSF model exhibited the best performance in predicting DSS,with the C-index in the test set being 0.769[95%confidence interval(CI):0.691.0.846]outperforming the CoxPH model(0.744,95%CI:0.665-0.822)and the 8th edition AJCC TNM staging(0.723,95%CI:0.61.-0.833).The calibration curves and decision curve analysis(DCA)demonstrated the RSF model had good calibration and clinical ***,the RSF model could perform risk stratification and individual prognosis prediction *** A higher LNR indicated a lower DSS in postoperative gastric NEN *** RSF model outperformed the CoxPH model and the 8th edition AJCC TNM staging in the test set,showing potential in clinical practice.
