Function and regulation of cholecystokinin-octapeptide, β-endorphin and gastrin in anorexic infantile rats treated with ErBao Granules

AIM To study the role of cholecystokinin- octapeptide (CCK-8). β-endorphin (β-EP). and gastrin in an anorexic infantile rat model and no subsequent regulation of nose peptides by the Yunpi complex prescription ErBao Granule. METHODS We fed infantile rats with special prepared forage. A liquid extract of ErBao Granule was administered to the rats daily for 3 weeks, CCK-8, β-EP, and gastrin concentrations in hypothalamus, gastric antrum, and plasma of the rats were measured by radioimmunoassay, and were compared with controls. RESUlTS Treatment of rats with ErBao Granule inhibited CCK-8 secretion and increased β-EP and gastrin secretion. CCK-8 concentration in hypothalamus and plasma of model control group increased significantly and correlated negatively with food intake of models, respectively. β-EP concentration in gastric antrum and plasma of model control group decreased significantly and showed a positive correlation with food intake of models, respectively. Hypothalamus concentration of β -EP was similar in models and controls. Gastrin concentration in gastric antrum of models was lower than in the blank control group, and correlated positively to food intake of models. Finally, CCK-8 concentrations in plasma of rats showed a positive correlation with plasma β-EP (r=-0.68, PlUSION The increased plasma and hypothalamus concentration of CCK-8, decreased gastric antrum and plasma level of β -EP, and decreased gastric antrum concentration of gastric are associated significantly with the anorexia of infantile anorexic rat models produced by special forage. ErBao Granule can reverse these changes, which may be the major mechanisms of ErBao Granule simulating feeding.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

The pathogenesis of melasma is believed to be related to heredity, sun exposure, sex hormones, and other factors. The mechanisms underlying the development of melasma include increased melanin synthesis, vascular proliferation within the skin lesions, inflammation, and skin barrier dysfunction. The diagnosis of melasma is mainly based on clinical manifestations and noninvasive techniques. Coupling with recent research progress in melasma, the present consensus comprehensively elaborates the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, staging, classification, diagnosis, and treatment of melasma to improve the diagnostic and therapeutic skills of chinese dermatologists.

Wedelolactone attenuates sepsis-associated acute liver injury by regulating the macrophage M1/M2 polarization balance through the PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signalling pathway

Background:liver injury caused by sepsis seriously impairs the normal physiology of the ***(WED)has an obvious anti-inflammatory effect against liver damage caused by various ***,further research is needed to determine if WED might mitigate acute liver damage linked to sepsis by influencing macrophage ***:We first assessed the effect of WED on lipopolysaccharides-triggered liver injury by biochemistry assay and tissue *** factors were assessed using the ElISA *** expression of Cluster of Differentiation 86(CD86)and Cluster of Differentiation 206(CD206)was measured by immunofluorescence *** protein levels of inducible nitric oxide sythase(iNOS),Arginase 1(Arg-1),phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K),protein kinase B(AKT),PI3K phosphorylation(p-PI3K),AKT phosphorylation(p-AKT),inhibitor of kappa B kinase(IKK),inhibitor of kappa B(IκB),and nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB)p65 were quantified by western blot ***:WED decreased the level of alanine aminotransferase(AlT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alkaline phosphatase(AlP)and malondialdehyde,and increased the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX).Moreover,WED exerted effective anti-inflammatory effects by decreasing the level of Tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and Interleukin 6(Il-6)and increasing the level of Interleukin 10(Il-10)in serum and *** not only decreased CD86 and iNOS expression but also increased CD206 and Arg-1 *** also downregulated the increased expression of PI3K,AKT,p-PI3K,p-AKT,IKK,and NF-κB p65 induced by lipopolysaccharides,while up-regulated the decreased expression of Iκ***,lY294002 with WED decreased the expression of protein PI3K,AKT,p-PI3K,p-AKT,IKK and NF-κB p65,and raised the expression of IκBα.Conclusion:Wedelolactone could attenuate sepsis-associated acute liver injury,and its mechanism may be associated with balancing pro-inflammatory and anti-inflamm

目的了解武威地区蜱类分布状况,丰富蜱种数据,为蜱媒疾病的预防提供依据。方法于2021年、2022年的4-9月蜱活跃期在武威市山区采用布旗法和捡蜱法采集蜱;首先依据形态学特征进行鉴定和分类统计,其次根据线粒体16S rDNA和细胞色素C氧化酶亚基COX I基因进行PCR扩增和一代测序,获得序列在GenBank中比对,比对结果作为分子鉴定的依据。应用MEGA11.0软件采用邻近法构建系统进化树。结果共采集蜱7342只,隶属4属5种,分别为革蜱属的草原革蜱、璃眼蜱属的亚洲璃眼蜱、硬蜱属的犬硬蜱、血蜱属的长角血蜱和丹氏血蜱。系统进化树显示,采获的同一蜱种均位于同一进化分支上。结论武威地区不同生境中共鉴定出5种蜱,不同生境中蜱的种类和数量不同,草原革蜱为该地区的优势蜱种。

颈淋巴清扫术(ND)是口腔颌面部恶性肿瘤治疗的主要方法之一。尽管颈清术式在不断改良,但术中因剥离、牵拉等损伤副神经、肌肉、肌膜、筋膜及韧带引起的肩臂综合征(SS),仍是患者术后常见并发症,加之放疗的影响,不仅会导致患者肩颈及手臂疼痛、僵硬、麻木、活动受限等功能障碍,更会对患者的生存质量和身心健康产生严重影响。目前,国内外针对口腔颌面部恶性肿瘤颈清术后SS的问题尚缺乏一个系统评估和康复管理方案。基于前期临床实践基础以及当前可获得的最佳证据,参考国内外相关文献,邀请颌面肿瘤外科和康复领域的专家根据相关临床经验共同讨论、修改,从SS的病因、评估、诊断与鉴别诊断、康复策略及预防等方面达成共识,以期为临床提供参考。

血浆微RNA联合检测在前列腺癌中的诊断价值

目的分析前列腺癌患者血浆miRNA的差异表达,探索血浆miRNA联合检测在前列腺癌中的诊断潜能。方法应用基因表达汇编数据库获得前列腺癌患者血浆及血清差异表达的miRNA,通过最近邻中心分类器曲线下面积优化模型(NCC-AUC)筛选出3个权重最高的miRNA;收集上海市宝山区中西医结合医院诊治的45例前列腺癌患者(前列腺癌组)、40例慢性前列腺炎患者(前列腺炎组)和42例健康体检者(健康对照组)血浆样本,采用qPCR对候选血浆miRNA表达水平进行检测;应用ROC曲线分析候选miRNA单独及联合检测对前列腺癌的诊断价值。结果通过生物信息学分析,获得26个前列腺癌相关的差异表达miRNA,经NCC-AUC进一步筛选,miRNA-21-5p、miRNA-5189-5p和miRNA-6780a-5p权重最高,进入临床样本验证阶段。临床验证结果显示,血浆miRNA-21-5p水平在健康对照组、前列腺炎组、前列腺癌组中依次升高,3组之间差异有统计学意义(P1);前列腺炎组血浆miRNA-5189-5p水平低于前列腺癌组与健康对照组(P均1);前列腺癌组血浆miRNA-6780a-5p水平高于前列腺炎组和健康对照组(P均1)。ROC曲线分析显示,血浆miRNA-21-5p和miRNA-6780a-5p对前列腺癌均有较好的诊断潜能(P均1),AUC分别为0.695和0.787,灵敏度分别为95.6%和64.4%,特异度分别为41.5%和81.7%。miRNA-21-5p与miRNA-6780a-5p联合应用可有效提高对前列腺癌的诊断效能,AUC为0.830,灵敏度和特异度分别为82.2%和74.4%。结论血浆miRNA-21-5p和miRNA-6780a-5p均有成为前列腺癌诊断标志物的潜能,两者联合检测可提高对前列腺癌的诊断效能。

traditional chinese medicine.uses a systemic treatment approach,targeting multiple etiological factors *** injection(DHI),a very popular chinese medicine.injection,is reported to be effective for many cardiovascular *** primary active ingredients of DHI,and their systemic and interrelated mechanism have not been evaluated in an established myocardial ischemia/reperfusion(MI/R) *** identified the main active constituents in DHI,including hydroxysafflor yellow A(A),salvianolic acid B(B),and danshensu(C),by HPlC fingerprint analysis and assessed their effect on MI/R rats and *** 3 compounds and DHI all decreased the levels of Il-1,TNF-α,and MDA,increased those of Il-10 and SOD activity in vivo and in vitro,and had antiapoptotic effects,as shown by flow cytometric analysis and TUNEl ***,these compounds increased phosphorylation of Akt and ERK1/2 in ***,we found compound A exerted a more prominent anti-inflammatory effect than B and C,by decreasing NF-kB levels;compound B had more powerful antioxidative capacity than A and C,by increasing Nrf2 expression;compound C had stronger antiapoptotic ability than A and B,by lowering caspase-3 *** results elucidate the mechanisms by which DHI protects against MI/R induced injury.
