Direct methanol fuel cell technology recently becomes the focus of both academic and engineering circles,which stimulates the exploitation and utilization of advanced electrode catalysts with high activity and long ***,we demonstrate a robust bottom-up approach to the spatial construction of three-dimensional(3D) spinel manganese-cobalt oxide-modified N-doped graphene nanoarchitectures decorated with ultrasmall Pt nanoparticles(Pt/MnCo_(2)O_(4)-NG) via a controllable selfassembly *** incorporation of MnCo_(2)O_(4)nanocrystals provides abundant hydroxyl sources to promote the oxidative removal of CO-like byproducts on Pt sites,while the existence of 3D porous N-doped graphene networks facilitates the transportation of both ions and electrons in the hybrid system,thus giving rise to remarkable synergetic coupling effects during the methanol oxidation ***,the optimized Pt/MnCo_(2)O_(4)-NG nano architecture expres ses exceptional electrocatalytic properties with a large electrochemically active surface area of 99.5 m^(2)·g^(-1),a high mass activity of1508.3 mA·mg^(-1),strong toxicity resistance and reliable long-term durability,which have obvious competitive advantages over those of conventional Pt/carbon black,Pt/carbon nano tube,Pt/graphene,and Pt/N-doped graphene catalysts with the same Pt usage.

Acute pancreatitis(AP)is a potentially fatal condition with no targeted treatment *** inhibiting xanthine oxidase(XO)in the treatment of AP has been studied in several experimental models and clinical trials,whether XO is a target of AP and what its the main mechanism of action is remains ***,we aimed to re-evaluate whether XO is a target aggravating AP other than merely generating reactive oxygen species that trigger *** first revealed that XO expression and enzyme activity were significantly elevated in the serum and pancreas of necrotizing AP *** also found that allopurinol and febuxostat,as purine-like and non-purine XO inhibitors,respectively,exhibited protective effects against pancreatic acinar cell death in vitro and pancreatic damage in vivo at different doses and treatment time ***,we observed that conditional Xdh overexpression aggravated pancreatic necrosis and *** mechanism analysis showed that XO inhibition restored the hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha(HIF-1α)-regulated lactate dehydrogenase A(LDHA)and NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)signaling pathways and reduced the enrichment of^(13)C_(6)-glucose to^(13)C_(3)-***,we observed that clinical circulatory XO activity was significantly elevated in severe cases and correlated with C-reactive protein levels,while pancreatic XO and urate were also increased in severe AP *** results together indicated that proper inhibition of XO might be a promising therapeutic strategy for alleviating pancreatic necrosis and preventing progression of severe AP by downregulating HIF-1α-mediated LDHA and NLRP3 signaling pathways.

The shuttle effect of polysulfides is one of the key factors hindering the commercialization of lithiumsulfur batteries(LSBs).Owing to their high conductivity and advantageous structure,heterostructures can be used in sulfur fixation and catalysis of *** this study,a flower-shaped ZnO/ZnS heterostructure on a nitrogendoped porous carbon(NPC) sulfur host was *** ZnO/ZnS heterostructure regulates the electronic structure of the material and exhibits higher metal-like ***,the ZnO/ZnS heterostructure combines the strong adsorption property of ZnO and the high catalytic ability of ZnS to realize the anchoring-diffusionconversion of lithium poly sulfides(LiPSs).Results reveal that the developed ZnO/ZnS@NPC/S cathode has excellent electrochemical performance in LSBs,achieving a high discharge specific capacity of 1365.3 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1C and excellent rate capability(719 mAh·g^(-1) at 2C;the capacity decay rate is only 0.042% per cycle after 1000 cycles).Even under a high sulfur loading-E/S(electrolyte/sulfur)ratio of 5.1 mg·cm^(-2)-6 μl·mg^(-1),a high specific capacity of 723.7 mAh·g^(-1) is maintained after 60 *** study provides a new strategy for a multifunctional sulfur host that can effectively alleviate the shuttle effect of LiPSs and improve the utilization of sulfur active substances.

A thermodynamic perspective on electrode poisoning in solid oxide fuel cells

A critical challenge to the commercialization of clean and high-efficiency solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)technology is the insuf-ficient stack lifespan caused by a variety of degradation mechanisms,which are associated with cell components and chemical *** components related degradation refers to thermal/chemical/electrochemical deterioration of cell materials under operating conditions,whereas the latter regards impurities in feedstocks of oxidant(air)and reductant(fuel).This article provides a thermodynamic perspective on the understanding of the impurities-induced degradation mechanisms in *** discussion focuses on using thermodynamic ana-lysis to elucidate poisoning mechanisms in cathodes by impurity species such as Cr,CO_(2),H_(2)O,and SO_(2) and in the anode by species such as S(or H_(2)S),SiO_(2),and P_(2)(or PH_(3)).The author hopes the presented fundamental insights can provide a theoretical foundation for search-ing for better technical solutions to address the critical degradation challenges.

Background Acute normovolemic hemodilution(ANH)was first introduced in glioblastoma surgery,and its role in reducing allogeneic blood transfusion was investigated in this *** This study enrolled supratentorial glioblastoma patients who received total *** the ANH group,the patients were required to draw blood before the operation,and the blood will be transfused back to the patient during the *** association between ANH and clinical features was *** Sixty supratentorial glioblastoma patients were enrolled in this study,25 patients were allocated in the ANH group,and another 35 patients were included in the control *** dramatically reduced the need for allogeneic blood transfusion(3[12%]vs 12[34.3%],P=0.049),and the blood transfusion per total of patients was dramatically decreased by the application of ANH(0.40±1.15 units vs 1.06±1.59 units,P=0.069).Furthermore,ANH also markedly reduced the requirement of fresh frozen plasma(FFP)transfusion(2[8%]vs 11[31.4%],P=0.030)and the volume of FFP transfusion per total of patients(32.00±114.46 mL vs 115.71±181.00 mL,P=0.033).The complication rate was similar between the two *** ANH was a safe and effective blood conservation technique in glioblastoma surgery.

Establishment and evaluation of an improved rat model of open abdomen

Introduction:This study aimed to establish an animal model of open abdomen(OA)through temporary abdominal closure via different ***:Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups:group A(OA with polypropylene mesh alone);group B(OA with polypro-pylene mesh combined with a patch);and group C(OA with polypropylene mesh and a sutured patch).Vital signs,pathophysiological changes,and survival rates were closely monitored in the rats for 7 days after *** X-rays and histopathological examinations were performed to assess abdominal organ changes and wound ***:The results showed no significant difference in mortality rates among the three groups(p>0.05).However,rats in group B exhibited superior overall condi-tion,cleaner wounds,and a higher rate of wound healing compared to the other groups(p<0.05).Abdominal X-rays indicated that varying degrees of distal intestinal obstruction in all *** examinations revealed fibrous hyperpla-sia,inflammatory cell infiltration,neovascularization,and collagen deposition in all *** B demonstrated enhanced granulation tissue generation,neovasculari-zation,and collagen deposition compared to the other groups(p<0.05).Conclusions:Polypropylene mesh combined with patches is the most suitable method for establishing an animal model of *** model successfully replicated the patho-logical and physiological changes in postoperative patients with OA,specifically the progress of abdominal skin wound *** provides a practical and reliable animal model for OA research.

The first pandemic wave of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)induced a considerable increase in several antivirals and antibiotics in surface *** common symptoms of COVID-19 are viral and bacterial infections,while comorbidities(e.g.,hypertension and diabetes)and mental shock(e.g.,insomnia and anxiety)are ***,little is known about the long-term impacts of comorbidities and mental shock on organic micropollutants(OMPs)in surface ***,we monitored 114 OMPs in surface water and wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)in Wuhan,China,between 2019 and *** pandemic-induced OMP pollution in surface water was confirmed by significant increases in 26 OMP *** increases in four antihypertensives and one diabetic drug suggest that the treatment of comorbidities may induce OMP ***,cotinine(a metabolite of nicotine)increased 155 times to 187 ngL1,which might be associated with increased ***,the increases in zolpidem and sulpiride might be the result of worsened insomnia and ***,it is reasonable to note that mental-health protecting drugs/behavior also contributed to OMP *** the observed OMPs,telmisartan,lopinavir,and ritonavir were associated with significantly higher ecological risks because of their limited WWTP-removal rate and high *** study provides new insights into the effects of comorbidities and mental shock on OMPs in surface water during a pandemic and highlights the need to monitor the fate of related pharmaceuticals in the aquatic environment and to improve their removal efficiencies in WWTPs。

BACKGROUND Despite advances in research on psychopathology and social media use,no comprehensive review has examined published papers on this type of research and considered how it was affected by the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** To explore the status of research on psychopathology and social media use before and after the COVID-19 *** We used Bibliometrix(an R software package)to conduct a scientometric analysis of 4588 relevant studies drawn from the Web of Science Core Collection,PubMed,and Scopus *** Such research output was scarce before COVID-19,but exploded after the pandemic with the publication of a number of high-impact *** authors and institutions,located primarily in developed countries,maintained their core positions,largely uninfluenced by COVID-19;however,research production and collaboration in developing countries increased significantly after *** the analysis of keywords,we identified commonly used methods in this field,together with specific populations,psychopathological conditions,and clinical *** have devoted increasing attention to gender differences in psychopathological states and linked COVID-19 strongly to depression,with depression detection becoming a new *** in research on psychopathology and social media use are unbalanced and uncoordinated across countries/regions,and more indepth clinical studies should be conducted in the *** After COVID-19,there was an increased level of concern about mental health issues and a changing emphasis on social media use and the impact of public health emergencies.

Intricate Fault Systems in Longmenshan Structural Belt's Northern End: Exploring Structural Evolution and Seismic Rupture Behavior in the Eastern Tibetan Plateau

The Longmenshan Structural Belt on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau experienced the impactful Mw 7.9 2008 Wenchuan earthquake， causing a 350 km surface rupture. Traditional models attribute this to the Beichuan and Pengguan faults， but our research reveals a complex fault system at the northern end， with inconsistencies in surface rupture， aftershock distribution， and focal mechanisms. We integrates shallow geology， active source seismic reflection， and magnetotelluric profiling to establish a deep structural model for the northern end of the Longmenshan Structural Belt. This area exhibits dominant reverse thrust nappe tectonics， and analyzing the tectonic evolution history provides insights into deformation propagation from the orogenic belt toward the Sichuan Basin. Focal mechanism analysis and relocated aftershock data reveals two distinct types of seismogenic structures in the northern end of the Longmenshan Structural Belt. In the middle to northern segments， the reverse fault type is attributed to reactivated pre-existing faults. Conversely， at the northern end， the strike-slip fault type originates from high-angle co-seismic rupture cutting through pre-existing reverse faults. This study enhances our understanding of fault complexity and seismic mechanisms in the northeastern Longmenshan Structural Belt， providing new insights into regional tectonics.

Exfoliation corrosion(EFC)has rarely been reported for wrought magnesium *** EFC of the as-extruded Mg–1Li–1Ca alloy was observed after the removal of outermost fine-grained *** microstructure and corrosion products were investigated using optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,electron backscattered diffraction,X-ray diffraction,and Fourier transform infrared *** corrosion behavior was analyzed using electrochemical polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,and scanning Kelvin probe *** results indicated that the surface of Mg–1Li–1Ca,with the superficial layer removed,was more susceptible to EFC.A linear correlation between grain boundary density and corrosion resistance was ***,the influence of factors such as grain size,intermetallic compounds,different alloy surfaces,and corrosion products on EFC were discussed,and the corresponding EFC mechanism was clarified.
