Macrophages are essential components of the innate immune system and constitute a non-specific first line of host defense against pathogens and inflammation.Mitochondria regulate macrophage activation and innate immune responses in various inflammatory diseases,including cochlear inflammation.The distribution,number,and morphological characteristics of cochlear macrophages change significantly across different inner ear regions under various pathological conditions,including noise exposure,ototoxicity,and age-related degeneration.However,the exact mechanism underlying the role of mitochondria in macrophages in auditory function remains unclear.Here,we summarize the major factors and mitochondrial signaling pathways(e.g.,metabolism,mitochondrial reactive oxygen species,mitochondrial DNA,and the inflammasome)that influence macrophage activation in the innate immune response.In particular,we focus on the properties of cochlear macrophages,activated signaling pathways,and the secretion of inflammatory cytokines after acoustic injury.We hope this review will provide new perspectives and a basis for future research on cochlear inflammation.

Genetic mutations in TP53 contribute to human malignancies through various means.To date,there have been a variety of therapeutic strategies targeting p53,including gene therapy to restore normal p53 function,mutant p53 rescue,inhibiting the MDM2-p53 interaction,p53-based vaccines,and a number of other approaches.This review focuses on the functions of TP53 and discusses the aberrant roles of mutant p53 in various types of cancer.Recombinant human p53 adenovirus,trademarked as Gendicine,which is the first anti-tumor gene therapy drug,has made tremendous progress in cancer gene therapy.We herein discuss the biological mechanisms by which Gendicine exerts its effects and describe the clinical re-sponses reported in clinical trials.Notably,the clinical studies suggest that the combination of Gendicine with chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy may produce more pronounced efficacy in slowing tumor growth and progression than gene therapy/chemotherapy alone.Finally,we summarize the methods of administration of recombinant human p53 adenovirus for different cancer types to provide a reference for future clinical trials.

A General Framework for Intelligent IoT Data Acquisition and Sharing in an Untrusted Environment Based on Blockchain

Traditional Io T systems suffer from high equipment management costs and difficulty in trustworthy data sharing caused by centralization.Blockchain provides a feasible research direction to solve these problems. The main challenge at this stage is to integrate the blockchain from the resourceconstrained Io T devices and ensure the data of Io T system is credible. We provide a general framework for intelligent Io T data acquisition and sharing in an untrusted environment based on the blockchain, where gateways become Oracles. A distributed Oracle network based on Byzantine Fault Tolerant algorithm is used to provide trusted data for the blockchain to make intelligent Io T data trustworthy. An aggregation contract is deployed to collect data from various Oracle and share the credible data to all on-chain users. We also propose a gateway data aggregation scheme based on the REST API event publishing/subscribing mechanism which uses SQL to achieve flexible data aggregation. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme can alleviate the problem of limited performance of Io T equipment, make data reliable, and meet the diverse data needs on the chain.

Assembly of a core–shell MOF with stability into polyacrylamide hydrogel for boosting extraction of uranium from seawater

Efficient and selective extraction of uranium(U(VI))from seawater is essential for sustainable nuclear power production.This study reports a novel adsorbent zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)-67@SiO_(2)-A/polyacrylamide(PAM)which was synthesized by grafting the core–shell metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)-based nanostructures coated with the 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane(APTES)functionalized SiO_(2)(SiO_(2)-A)onto PAM hydrogel.The SiO_(2) shell was grown on the surface of MOF,which improved the acid-base resistance of MOF.The introduction of ZIF-67@SiO_(2)-A enhances the specific surface area and adsorption efficiency of the PAM.The ZIF-67@SiO_(2)-A/PAM shows remarkable adsorption capacity,fast adsorption kinetics,and good reusability for uranium.It has excellent adsorption property(6.33 mg·g^(-1),30 d)in natural seawater.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)mappings,and density functional theory reveal that the coordination by N and O in ZIF-67@SiO_(2)-A/PAM with uranium is the main mechanism of uranium adsorption.Thus,ZIF-67@SiO_(2)-A/PAM has great potential to capture uranium from natural seawater.

In the green energy and carbon-neutral technology,electrochemical energy storage devices have received continuously increasing attention recently.However,due to the unavoidable volume expansion/shrinkage of key materials or irreversible mechanical damages during application,the stability of energy storage and delivery as well as the lifetime of these devices are severely shortened,leading to serious performance degradation or even safety issues.Therefore,the utilization of self-healable gels into electrochemical energy storage devices,such as electrodes,binders,and electrolytes,is proven as an effective method to realize long-term stable operation of these devices via the self-repairing of mechanical and electrochemical characteristics.Herein,this review first summarizes the feature and fabrication of different gels,paying special attention to hydrogels,organohydrogels,and ionogels.Then,basic concepts and figure of merit of self-healable gels are analyzed with a detailed discussion at the healing mechanisms,from reversible dynamic bonds to physical molecular diffusion,and to external healing trigger.Then we introduce all the important parts of electrochemical energy storage devices,which could be replaced by healable gels to enhance the durability,including electrodes,binders,and electrolytes.Finally,the critical challenges and future perspectives regarding the future development of healable gels based high-performance electrochemical energy storage devices or electronics are provided.

High linearity U-band power amplifier design:a novel intermodulation point analysis method

A power amplifier’s linearity determines the emission signal’s quality and the efficiency of the system.Nonlinear distortion can result in system bit error,out-of-band radiation,and interference with other channels,which severely influence communication system’s quality and reliability.Starting from the third-order intermodulation point of the milimeter wave(mm-Wave)power amplifiers,the circuit’s nonlinearity is compensated for.The analysis,design,and implementation of linear class AB mm-Wave power amplifiers based on GlobalFoundries 45 nm CMOS silicon-on-insulator(SOI)technology are presented.Three single-ended and differential stacked power amplifiers have been implemented based on cascode cells and triple cascode cells operating in U-band frequencies.According to nonlinear analysis and on-wafer measurements,designs based on triple cascode cells outperform those based on cascode cells.Using single-ended measurements,the differential power amplifier achieves a measured peak power-added efficiency(PAE)of 47.2%and a saturated output power(P_(sat))of 25.2 dBm at 44 GHz.The amplifier achieves a P_(sat)higher than 23 dBm and a maximum PAE higher than 25%in the measured bandwidth from 44 GHz to 50 GHz.

Noncovalent cross-linked engineering hydrogel with low hysteresis and high sensitivity for flexible self-powered electronics

In this study,the hydrogel network was reinforced by covalent-like hydrogen bonding,and the strong binding ability of boron-nitrogen coordination served as the main driving force.Among them,acrylamide(AM)and 3-acrylamidophenylboronic acid(AAPBA)were the main body,and the numerous hydroxyl groups in the trehalose(Treh)molecule and other polymer groups formed strong hydrogen bonding interactions to improve the mechanical properties of the PAM/PAAPBA/Treh(PAAT)hydrogel and ensured the simplicity of the synthesis process.The hydrogel possessed high strain at break(1239%),stress(64.7 kPa),low hysteresis(100%to 500%strain,corresponding to dissipation energy from 1.37 to 7.80 kJ/m^(3)),and outstanding cycling stability(retained more than 90%of maximum stress after 200 ten-sile cycles).By integrating carbon nanotubes(CNTs)into PAAT hydrogel(PAATC),the PAATC hydrogel with excellent strain response performance was successfully constructed.The PAATC conductive hydro-gel exhibited high sensitivity(gauge factor(GF)=10.58 and sensitivity(S)=0.304 kPa^(-1)),wide strain response range(0.5%-1000%),fast response time(450 ms),and short recovery time(350 ms),excellent fatigue resistance,and strain response stability.Furthermore,the PAATC-based triboelectric nanogener-ator(TENG)displayed outstanding energy harvesting performance,which shows its potential for appli-cation in self-powered electronic devices.

Antihypertensive effects of whey protein hydrolysate involve reshaping the gut microbiome in spontaneously hypertension rats

Novel angiotensin-converting enzyme(ACE)inhibitory peptides were identified from whey protein hydrolysates(WPH)in vitro in our previous study and the antihypertensive abilities of WPH in vivo were further investigated in the current study.Results indicated that WPH significantly inhibited the development of high blood pressure and tissue injuries caused by hypertension.WPH inhibited ACE activity(20.81%,Plic blood pressure(SBP)(12.63%,Pling pathway and Apelin signaling pathway were altered after WPH supplementation.Notably,WPH alleviated serum oxidative stress,indicated by the decreased malondialdehyde content(Plities in vivo and could be a potential alternative for antihypertensive dietary supplements.

Nitrogen(N)-doped carbon materials as metal catalyst supports have attracted signifi cant attention,but the eff ect of N dopants on catalytic performance remains unclear,especially for complex reaction processes such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(FTS).Herein,we engineered ruthenium(Ru)FTS catalysts supported on N-doped carbon overlayers on TiO_(2)nanoparticles.By regulating the carbonization temperatures,we successfully controlled the types and contents of N dopants to identify their impacts on metal-support interactions(MSI).Our fi ndings revealed that N dopants establish a favorable surface environment for electron transfer from the support to the Ru species.Moreover,pyridinic N demonstrates the highest electron-donating ability,followed by pyrrolic N and graphitic N.In addition to realizing excellent catalytic stability,strengthening the interaction between Ru sites and N dopants increases the Ru^(0)/Ru^(δ+)ratios to enlarge the active site numbers and surface electron density of Ru species to enhance the strength of adsorbed CO.Consequently,it improves the catalyst’s overall performance,encompassing intrinsic and apparent activities,as well as its ability for carbon chain growth.Accordingly,the as-synthesized Ru/TiO_(2)@CN-700 catalyst with abundant pyridine N dopants exhibits a superhigh C_(5+)time yield of 219.4 mol CO/(mol Ru·h)and C_(5+)selectivity of 85.5%.

Multi-Scale Mixed Attention Tea Shoot Instance Segmentation Model

Tea leaf picking is a crucial stage in tea production that directly influences the quality and value of the tea.Traditional tea-picking machines may compromise the quality of the tea leaves.High-quality teas are often handpicked and need more delicate operations in intelligent picking machines.Compared with traditional image processing techniques,deep learning models have stronger feature extraction capabilities,and better generalization and are more suitable for practical tea shoot harvesting.However,current research mostly focuses on shoot detection and cannot directly accomplish end-to-end shoot segmentation tasks.We propose a tea shoot instance segmentation model based on multi-scale mixed attention(Mask2FusionNet)using a dataset from the tea garden in Hangzhou.We further analyzed the characteristics of the tea shoot dataset,where the proportion of small to medium-sized targets is 89.9%.Our algorithm is compared with several mainstream object segmentation algorithms,and the results demonstrate that our model achieves an accuracy of 82%in recognizing the tea shoots,showing a better performance compared to other models.Through ablation experiments,we found that ResNet50,PointRend strategy,and the Feature Pyramid Network(FPN)architecture can improve performance by 1.6%,1.4%,and 2.4%,respectively.These experiments demonstrated that our proposed multi-scale and point selection strategy optimizes the feature extraction capability for overlapping small targets.The results indicate that the proposed Mask2FusionNet model can perform the shoot segmentation in unstructured environments,realizing the individual distinction of tea shoots,and complete extraction of the shoot edge contours with a segmentation accuracy of 82.0%.The research results can provide algorithmic support for the segmentation and intelligent harvesting of premium tea shoots at different scales.
