BACKGr.UND Unlike the alr.ady established effect of Helicobacter.pylor.(***)er.dication on gastr.c mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT)lymphoma,its ther.peutic effect on pr.mar. gastr.c diffuse lar.e B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)is still *** To clar.fy the efficacy of *** er.dication tr.atment for.pr.mar. gastr.c *** We r.por.ed on 3 new cases,and added them to 3 pr.viously r.por.ed *** analyzed the usefulness of *** er.dication tr.atment for.gastr.c DLBCL for.a total of 6 cases at our.*** Of the 6 patients(27-90 year. old,3 males and 3 females),all 3 patients with single lesions(one tr.nsfor.ed fr.m MALT lymphoma)achieved complete r.mission(Cr.after.*** *** the 2 newly r.por.ed cases,Cr.was maintained for.mor. than 6 year. with er.dication tr.atment *** contr.st,none of the 3 patients with 2 lesions achieved *** 1 newly r.por.ed case,endoscopic Cr.was achieved in one lesion,while stable disease was obtained in the other.*** patients with pr.gr.ssive disease r.sponded to standar. chemo ther.py±r.diation and r.mained in Cr.for.mor. than 6 *** We believe it is wor.hwhile to attempt *** er.dication for.elder.y patients with pr.mar. gastr.c DLBCL in a single lesion with a small tumor.bur.en.

Gamete fusion is a cor. pr.cess of sexual r.pr.duction and, in both plants and animals, differ.nt sex gametes fuse within species. Although most of the molecular.factor. involved in gamete inter.ction ar. still unknown in var.ous sex-possessing eukar.otes, r.por.s of such factor. in algae and land plants have been incr.asing in the past decade. In par.icular. knowledge of gamete inter.ction in flower.ng plants and gr.en algae has incr.ased since the identification of the conser.ed gamete fusion factor.GENEr.TIVE CELL SPECIFIC 1/HAPLESS 2 （GCS1/HAP2）. GCSl was fir.t identified as a pollen gener.tive cell-specific tr.nsmembr.ne pr.tein in the lily （Lilium Iongiflor.m）, and was then shown to function not only in flower.ng plant gamete fusion but also in var.ous eukar.otes, including unicellular.pr.tists and metazoans. In addition, although initially r.str.cted to Chlamydomonas, knowledge of gamete attachment in flower.ng plants was also acquir.d. This r.view focuses on r.cent pr.gr.ss in the study of gamete inter.ction in volvocine gr.en algae and flower.ng plants and discusses conser.ed mechanisms of gamete r.cognition, attachment, and fusion leading to zygote for.ation.

We investigated the biodegr.dation of 2-nitr.phenol （2-NP）, 4-nitr.phenol （4-NP）, and 2,4-dinitr.phenol （2,4-DNP） in the r.izospher. of Spir.dela polyr.hiza plants by conducting degr.dation exper.ments with thr.e r.ver.water.samples supplemented with each nitr.phenol （NP）. We then isolated NP-degr.ding bacter.a both fr.m the S. polyr.hiza r.ots and fr.m the r.ver.water. In the r.ver.water.samples, r.moval of the thr.e NP was acceler.ted in the pr.sence of S. polyr.hiza plants. The thr.e NPs per.isted in an autoclaved solution with ster.le plants suggests that NP r.moval was acceler.ted lar.ely by bacter.al NP biodegr.dation r.ther.than by adsor.tion and uptake by the plants. We isolated 8 str.ins of NP-degr.ding bacter.a： 6 str.ins fr.m the S. polyr.hiza r.ots and 2 str.ins fr.m r.ver.water.without the plants. The 2-NP- and 2,4-DNP-degr.ding bacter.a wer. isolated only fr.m the S. polyr.hiza r.ots. The 4-NP- degr.ding bacter.a differ.nt fr.m those isolated fr.m the r.ver.water.samples wer. also found on S. polyr.hiza r.ots. The 2-NP- and 4-NP-degr.ding str.ins isolated fr.m the r.ots utilized the cor.esponding NP （0.5 mmol/L） as the sole car.on and ener.y sour.e. The 2,4-DNP-degr.ding str.ins isolated fr.m the r.ots showed substantial 2,4-DNP-degr.ding activity, but the pr.sence of other.car.on and ener.y sour.es was r.quir.d for.their.gr.wth. The isolated NP-degr.ding bacter.a fr.m the r.ots must have contr.buted to the acceler.ted degr.dation of the thr.e NPs in the r.izospher. of S. polyr.hiza. Our.r.sults suggested that r.izor.mediation with S. polyr.hiza may be effective for.NP-contaminated sur.ace water.

In this study,a high-density polyethylene（HDPE,5-mm-thick,0.95 g/cm3） sur.ace was tr.ated using an r. capacitive atmospher.c pr.ssur. cold Ar.plasma *** using this Ar.plasma jet,a hydr.philic HDPE sur.ace was for.ed dur.ng the plasma *** par.icular. the effects of an additive gas（N;or.O2） on the HDPE sur.ace tr.atment wer. investigated in *** was shown that the addition of N2 or.O2 gas had an impor.ant influence on the HDPE sur.ace *** to pur. Ar.plasma tr.atment,a lower.value of water.contact angle （WCA） was obtained when a tr.ce of N2 or.O2 gas was *** was also found that besides the quantities of active species in the plasma jet,the tr.atment temper.tur. played an impor.ant r.le in the HDPE sur.ace *** is because sur.ace molecular.motion is not negligible when the tr.atment temper.tur. is close to the melting point of the polymer.
