Grain boundary effect on structural, optical, and electrical properties of sol-gel synthesized Fe-doped SnO_(2) nanoparticles

Tin oxide(SnO_(2)) and iron-doped tin oxide(Sn_(1-x)Fe_(x)O_(2),x=0.05 wt%,0.10 wt%) nanoparticles are synthesized by the simple sol-gel *** structural characterization using x-ray diffraction(XRD) confirms tetragonal rutile phases of the *** variations in lattice parameters and relative intensity with Fe-doping concentration validate the incorporation of iron into the *** compressive strain present in the lattice estimated by using peak profile analysis through using Williamson-Hall plot also exhibits the influence of grain boundary formation in the *** radiative recombination and quenching observed in optical characterization by using photoluminescence spectrum(PL) and the shift in the band gap estimated from Uv-visible diffused reflectance spectrum corroborate the grain boundary *** spectrum and the morphological analysis by using a field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM) also indicate the formation of grain *** compositional analysis by using energy dispersive x-ray spectrum(EDAX) confirms Fe in the SnO_(2) *** conductivity studies exhibit that the impendence increases with doping concentration increasing and the loss factor decreases at high frequencies with doping concentration increasing,which makes the Sn_(1-x)Fe_(x)O_(2) a potential candidate for device applications.

virtualization is the backbone of cloud computing,which is a developing and widely used *** and merging identical memory pages,memory deduplication improves memory efficiency in virtualized *** Same Page Merging(KSM)is a Linux service for memory pages sharing in virtualized *** deduplication is vulnerable to a memory disclosure attack,which uses covert channel establishment to reveal the contents of other colocated virtual *** avoid a memory disclosure attack,sharing of identical pages within a single user’s virtual machine is permitted,but sharing of contents between different users is *** our proposed approach,virtual machines with similar operating systems of active domains in a node are recognised and organised into a homogenous batch,with memory deduplication performed inside that batch,to improve the memory pages sharing *** compared to memory deduplication applied to the entire host,implementation details demonstrate a significant increase in the number of pages shared when memory deduplication applied batch-wise and CPU(Central processing unit)consumption also increased.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of the standardized extract of fenugreek(Trigonella foenumgraecum ***:Leguminasae) seed(IND01) in animal models of peripheral neuropathy. Methods:IND01 was prepared from fenugreek seeds and standardized by high performance liquid chromatography to a marker compound,*** effects of daily oral administration of IND01(50,100 and 200 mg/kg) were studied in rats after partial sciatic nerve ligation(PSNL) and sciatic nerve crush injury(SNCI) during 30-days *** measurements on thermal hyperalgesia(TH),motor function test(MFT) score and motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCv) were ***:IND01 offered sustained protection against TH and deranged MFT scores in both models from 7-day *** days of daily oral administration of IND01 restored MNCv reduction in rats with SNCI but not with ***:IND01 was found to be effective in rat models of painful peripheral neuropathy.

In this paper,a modified sinusoidal pulse width modulation(MSPWM)technique and a modified single-phase H-bridge seven-level inverter is *** switching pulses for the proposed seven-level inverter are generated using a single triangular carrier waveform,a fully rectified sinusoidal signal,and three stepped reference signals(Uref1,Uref2 and Uref3).Using optimization technique,the magnitude of the stepped reference signal is determined so that the total harmonic distortion(THD)of the output voltage waveform is minimum and the fundamental component,RMS value of the voltage is improved for a given modulation index Ma as compared to the sinusoidal pulse width modulation(SPWM).By the implementation of the new scheme,the seven-level of the inverter output voltage level(+vdc,+2vdc/3,+vdc/3,0,−vdc,−2vdc/3,−vdc)is obtained for any given modulation ***,if only two stepped reference signals are used then the inverter will act as a five-level inverter for any modulating index *** proposed MSPWM and seven-level inverter are simulated on MATLAB/SIMULINK for R,R-L load and on a single-phase capacitor-start and capacitor-start-run Induction Motor.

Dendritic cells(DCs)are the master regulators of the immune response and engage in constant cross-talk with other immune cells to initiate an appropriate immune *** outcome of cross-talk with various immune cells towards DC functions has been shown to be dependent on the particular subset of cells and their activation *** we show that for human B cells to induce maturation of DCs with an enhanced T-cell stimulatory capacity,B-cell receptor(BCR)signaling is sufficient for memory B-cells,whereas additional CD40 signaling is required for naïve B cells to induce complete activation of DCs.

The effect of substrate and annealing temperatures on mechanical properties of Ti-rich NiTi films deposited on Si （100） substrates by DC magnetron sputtering was studied by *** films were deposited at two substrate temperatures viz.300 and 400 ℃.NiTi films deposited at 300 ℃ were annealed for 4 h at four different temperatures,i.e.300,400,500 and 600 C whereas films deposited at 400 ℃ were annealed for 4 h at three different temperatures,i.e.400,500 and 600 ℃.The elastic modulus and hardness of the films were found to be the same in the as-deposited as well as annealed conditions for both substrate *** a given substrate temperature,the hardness and elastic modulus were found to remain unchanged as long as the films were ***,both elastic modulus and hardness showed an increase with increasing annealing temperature as the films become *** results were explained on the basis of the change in microstructure of the film with change in annealing temperature.

There has been an immense endeavor to mitigate global warming in spite of which it has only been worse. This paper presents the design and imple- mentation of a low power and eco-friendly refrigeration system using the thermoelectric effect. The conventional refrigerators make use of complex mechanisms which involves synchronous operation of various units, namely the compressor, condensers, expansion valves, evaporator, refi＇igerant and so on. But a thermoelectric refrigerator exploits the principle of the Peltier effect, thus avoiding the utilization of these complex components. This even helps curb the release of harmful chlorofluorocarbons （CFCs） into the atmosphere which contributes to the increase in global temperature. Moreover, the temperature can be controlled and set to required values with the help of a microcontroller. Hence, this can be used both for domestic and commercial purposes. The unit does not eject any harmful gases. Therefore, the heat expelled from the unit can be tapped for heating utilities, making the use of this device versatile in its application. Thus this proposal aims not only at reducing the air pollutants by not contributing to it but also at reducing the power consumption.

Productivity status of traditional agrisilviculture system on northern and southern aspects in mid-hill situation of Garhwal Himalaya,India

The productivity of traditional agrisilviculture system(agricultural crops + trees) was investigated in the northern and southern aspects of mid-hill situation in Garhwal Himalaya, Uttarakhand, India during the 2004?2006.A total of 19 tree species were studied in both northern and southern aspects, out of which 17 tree species were selected in northern aspect and 12 tree species in southern aspect for phytosociological characteristic analysis of trees in agrisilvicultural *** most dominant tree species are Grewia optiva, Celtis australis and Melia azedarach and successively grown under traditional agrisilviculture *** results show that the annual productivity of all tree species was 3 775 kg·ha-1·a-1 in northern aspect(site-N) and 3 101 kg·ha-1·a-1 in southern aspect(site-S).*** had the highest productivity in both site-N and site-S among the tree species, followed by ***, Quercus leucotrichophora and *** dominant agricultural crops were Eleusine coracana in summer cereals, Phaseolus vulgaris in summer pulses-oilseeds and Triticum aestivum in the winter season in the *** average biological productivity of agricultural crops in northern aspect was about 16% higher than that in southern aspect under traditional agrisilviculture *** sole agricultural crop productivity(without trees) in northern aspect was also higher than that in southern *** obvious difference in annual productivity of trees and agriculture crops was observed between northern aspect and southern *** overall productivity in traditional agrisilviculture system(crop + tree) was 24%(in northern aspect) and 21%(in southern aspect) higher than that in sole cropping system.
