CALTPP:A general program to calculate thermophysical properties

A program CALTPP(CALculation of ThermoPhysical Properties)is developed in order to provide various thermophysical properties such as diffusion coefficient,interfacial energy,thermal conductivity,viscosity and molar volume mainly as function of temperature and *** thermophysical properties are very important inputs for microstructure simulations and mechanical property *** general structure of CALTPP is briefly described,and the CALPHAD-type models for the description of these thermophysical properties are *** CALTPP program contains the input module,calculation and/or optimization modules and output module.A few case studies including(a)the calculation of diffusion coefficient and optimization of atomic mobility,(b)the calculation of solid/liquid,coherent solid/solid and liquid/liquid interfacial energies,(c)the calculation of thermal conductivity,(d)the calculation of viscosity,and(e)the establishment of molar volume database in binary and ternary alloys are demonstrated to show the features of *** is expected that CALTPP will be an effective contribution in both scientific research and education.

Lung cancer is a malignant tumor with the highest incidence and mortality in China,which seriously affects the quality of life of *** Chinese medicine(TCM)plays a unique advantage in the treatment and rehabilitation of lung *** order to standardize TCM diagnosis and treatment and disease management of clinical medical workers,the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine issued the“Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Lung Cancer by Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine”in August ***’recommendations were made on the clinical staging and syndrome differentiation and classification of lung cancer,characteristic TCM therapies,and nursing care of integrated traditional Chinese and Western *** article interpreted the Consensus on the above aspects from a nursing perspective,hoping to provide references for clinical medical workers in the treatment and nursing care of lung cancer.

An overview about one thermodynamic database of multi-component Mg alloys is given in this *** thermodynamic database includes thermodynamic descriptions for 145 binary systems and 48 ternary systems in 23-component(Mg–Ag–Al–Ca–Ce–Cu–Fe–Gd–K–La–Li–Mn–Na–Nd–Ni–Pr–Si–Sn–Sr–Th–Y–Zn–Zr)***,the major computational and experimental tools to establish the thermodynamic database of Mg alloys are briefly ***,among the investigated binary and ternary systems,representative binary and ternary systems are shown to demonstrate the major feature of the ***,application of the thermodynamic database to solidification simulation and selection of heat treatment schedule is described.

Excellent comprehensive mechanical properties including good formability,high strength and high ductility are prior demands for Al-Mg-Si-Cu *** study utilizes calculation of phase diagram(CALPHAD)to simplify the alloy design and meet these ***,CALPHAD was used to finely tune the Mg/Si atomic ratio in solid solution and accurately control the type and content of second phases,especially to avoid the formation of the harmful constituent phaseβ-Al Fe *** and dispersoids of only-Al Fe Mn Si phase were found in the alloy *** optimized microstructure with fine grains,micro scale constituents,densely distributed submicron scale dispersoids and extremely dense nano precipitates provides effective impediment to dislocation gliding and induces transgranular ***,the designed alloy has better comprehensive mechanical properties than other 6 xxx series aluminum alloys,including excellent formability,strength and *** low T4P strength of 149 MPa as well as the high elongation of 26.1%implies the alloy’s applicability to automobile body panel *** yield strength was rapidly improved from 149 MPa to 277 MPa during the paint bake ageing,because the number density of precipitates is twice as high as that of some other 6xxx ***,the elongation was kept at a high level of 20.0%.

The effect of ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) on reactive astrogliosis was studied on a mechanical scratch model of the confluent astrocytic cultures from newborn rat brain. Following injury, the astrocytes at the edge of the injured area displayed a typical process of the reactive astrogliosis. This process included apparently hyperplastic change and significantly increased GFAP expression of the flat astrocytes, and migration to the injured area of the O-2A progenitor cells and their differentiation into process-bearing astrocytes. Exogenous CNTF applied to the cell cultures significantly promoted the hyperplasia and GFAP expression of the flat astrocytes. The results suggest that CNTF can enhance the reactive astrogliosis in the injured area.

Review: Application of the CALPHAD Approach and First-Principles Calculations to Electrode Materials in Li Ion Batteries

Design and development of novel electrode materials is one of several hot topics in studying Li ion battery. The CALPHAD(CALculation of PHAse Diagrams) approach enables calculation of stable and metastable phase equilibria,as well as thermodynamic properties for various materials,w hich has been applied to accelerate modern materials design in recent years. The traditional trial-and-error method is being replaced by the integration of CALPHAD with first-principles calculations,as well as empirical methods and key experiments. The CALPHAD approach and first-principles calculations have been proved to be a powerful tool in studying electrode materials, not only for calculation of phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties,but also for prediction of cell voltages in Li ion batteries,which allows for the design of future electrode materials with improved stability and efficiency. Examples of the cathode systems(Li-O,Li-Co-O and Li-Ni-O) and anode systems(Li-Sb and Li-Sn),which are studied by applying the CALPHAD approach and first-principles calculations,are presented.

As one of the most common malignant tumors in the world,colorectal cancer(CRC)is accompanied by a variety of symptoms in the process of disease development and treatment,which seriously affect the functional state and quality of life of *** China,comprehensive intervention measures of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)play an indispensable role in the treatment and rehabilitation of *** order to further standardize and improve the treatment and management of CRC by medical staff,the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine issued the“Expert Consensus for Diagnosis and Treatment of Colorectal Cancer with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine”in August *** paper interprets this consensus in detail from the perspective of nursing,focusing on the common understanding of the pathogenesis of CRC,TCM diagnosis and syndrome differentiation,integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing,TCM characteristic therapies,etc.,with a view to deepening the understanding and practical application of the consensus among clinical doctors and nurses and improving the level of diagnosis,treatment,and nursing of CRC.
