Wearable pressure sensors having versatile device structures have been extensively investigated to achieve high sensitivity under mechanical ***,we introduce piezoelectric pressure sensors based on fabrics woven using polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)weft and polyethylene terephthalate(PET)warp yarns with different weave structures:1/1(plain),2/2,and 3/3 weft rib *** dependence of the pressure-sensing performance on the weave pattern is demonstrated with an actual large-scale fabric up to the~2 m *** optimized pressure sensor with a 2/2 weft rib pattern produced a high sensitivity of 83 mV N−1,which was 245%higher than that of the 1/1 *** detection performance of the optimal fabric was extensively evaluated with a variety of ambient input sources,such as pressing,bending,twisting,and crumpling,as well as various human ***,a large allfabric pressure sensor with arrayed touch pixel units demonstrated highly sensitive and stable sensing performance.

Aqueous Two Phase Extraction for the Recovery of 1,3-Propanediol from Its Aqueous Solutions

New manufacturing process capable of high density patterns has been required. The most popular technique used today to form such fine pitch conductors is Semi-Additive Process（SAP） or variations of semi-additive process. New manufacturing method focus on the technologies designed to produce a smooth interface between resin and copper conductors for advantages in the high frequency application and fine conductor pitch capabilities. In this study, laser microprocessing was investigated for resin materials with various filler size, and was selected by suitable materials with processability and physical characteristics.

As the biodiesel production is rapidly enhanced, the crude glycerol, which is by-product of biodiesel processes, is state of surplus. 1,3-PDO (1,3-propanediol), a valuable monomer of poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT), can be produced from the fermentation process using crude glycerin as a carbon source. For the economic biological production of 1,3-PDO, the low cost and high efficient separation processes is essential. In this study, aqueous two-phase system composed of various hydrophilic alcohols and salt was used as a primary separation step for 1,3-PDO. It was found that the aqueous two-phase systems are easily formed with decreasing of the polarity of alcohols. The extraction efficiency is proportional to the polarity of alcohols. In case of methanol or ethanol/K2HPO4, the extraction efficiency was more than 90%.? It was concluded that the aqueous two-phase extraction using methanol or ethanol/K2HPO4 can be applied? for the primary separation of 1,3-PDO? as an alternative to a conventional primary separation processes.

Background: Over 400 genes contribute to the development of congenital heart disease (CHD). Additionally,multisystemic manifestations accompanying syndromic CHD pose a higher risk of genetic diseases. This studyinvestigated the diagnostic yield of whole-exome sequencing (WES) in patients with sporadic syndromic CHDand the phenotypic factors affecting the genetic diagnostic rate. Methods: Sixty-four patients with sporadic syndromicCHD aged 0.05), betweenthe groups with and without a diagnostic variant. However, patients with ≥3 extracardiac phenotypes had a significantlyhigher likelihood of having a diagnostic variant than those with ≤2 (38.3% vs. 5.9%, odds ratio = 9.93,95% confidence interval = 1.21–81.44, P = 0.013). Conclusions: The number of extracardiac phenotypes is importantin predicting the possibility of genetic diagnosis. Physicians will be able to select patients with a high probabilityof genetic diagnosis and provide appropriate genetic counseling based on the results of this study.

Refractory lipoatrophy treated with autologous whole blood injection:A case report

A cascading trip of distance relay due to overload caused by another line tripping has been observed in some black-outs. Preventing such an unwanted trip of a distance relay could contribute to blackout prevention. In this paper, a new index （PVI） for evaluating vulnerability from distance protection viewpoint is proposed which indicates the risk level of a distance relay that can lead to multiple line outages due to overload. Case studies on a real system show effectiveness of the proposed index. The proposed index can be utilized to make a decision on execution of preventive actions before a blackout develops.

BACKGROUND Intramuscular corticosteroid injection may cause adverse effects such as dermal and/or subcutaneous atrophy,alopecia,hypopigmentation,and *** cutaneous atrophy can spontaneously resolve,several treatment options have been suggested for this *** SUMMARY In this paper,we report a case of corticosteroid injection induced lipoatrophy treated with autologous whole blood(AWB)injection,as the condition had been unresponsive to fractional laser therapy.A 29-year-old female patient visited the dermatology clinic complaining of skin depression on her right buttock area,which had appeared six months *** had been only subtle improvement at the margins after fractional CO_(2) laser treatment;therefore,after obtaining informed consent from the patient,AWB treatment was *** month after the first AWB injection,the size and depth of the lesion had noticeably improved,and a slight improvement was also observed in *** Close observation is the initial treatment of choice for steroid induced skin atrophy;however,for patients in need of immediate cosmetic improvement,AWB injection may be a safe and cost-effective alternative.

This study demonstrates that the initial texture of Mg alloy significantly affects the microstructure developed during cold rolling and the recrystallization behavior during subsequent annealing. In a sample with a texture oriented toward the normal direction(ND sample), thick and large-sized shear bands are intensively formed during cold rolling and the deformation is strongly localized along these bands. In contrast,in a sample with a texture oriented toward the transverse direction(TD sample), many {10-12} twins are formed at the early stage of cold rolling, and then, numerous small-sized shear bands are formed in these twins. Results of nanoindentation tests reveal that the cold-rolled ND sample has internal strain energy that is substantially concentrated along the shear bands, whereas the cold-rolled TD sample has a large amount of internal strain energy that is homogeneously distributed throughout the material;this latter behavior is strongly related to the extensive {10-12} twinning and the resultant microstructural variations in the TD sample. During subsequent annealing, recrystallization occurs locally along the shear bands in the ND sample, which leads to the formation of a bimodal grain structure comprising fine recrystallized grains and coarse unrecrystallized grains. In contrast, during subsequent annealing of the TD sample, static recrystallization occurs homogeneously throughout the material, which results in the formation of a uniform grain structure that mostly comprises equiaxed recrystallized grains.

Graphene oxide and silver nanowires were bar coated onto polyethylene terephthalate （PET） substrates and then welded using an ultraviolet （UV）-assisted flash light irradiation process to achieve both high electrical conductivity and low haze. The irradiation process connected adjacent silver nanowires by welding, while simultaneously reducing the graphene oxide to graphene. This process was performed using a custom W-assisted flash light welding system at room temperature under ambient conditions and was extremely rapid, with processing time of several milliseconds. The effects of varying the weight fractions of the silver nanowires and graphene oxide and of varying the W-assisted flash light welding conditions （light energy and pulse duration） were investigated. The surface morphologies of the welded silver nanowire/graphene films were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. Optical characterizations, including transmittance and haze measurements, were also conducted using a spectrophotometer. To test their resistance to oxidation, the welded silver nanowire/graphene films were subjected to high temperature in a furnace （100 ℃）, and their sheet resistances were measured every hour. The flash light welding process was found to yield silver nanowire/graphene films with high oxidation resistance, high conductivity （14.35 Ω·sq-1）, high transmittance （93.46%）, and low haze （0.9%）. This material showed uniform temperature distribution when applied as a resistive heating film.
