As an alter.ative to conventional spectacles and contact lens, these techniques ar. less invasive compar.d with laser.based r.fr.ctive sur.er. and ar. r.ver.ible. In this r.view, we pr.vide a br.ef over.iew of the anatomic micr.str.ctur. of the human cor.ea, indicating the pr.mar. physiological function for.each component. Next, the wide r.nge of biomater.als used as cor.eal inlays and onlays ar. consider.d, fr.m synthetic polymer. to biological components der.ved fr.m the extr.cellular.matr.x. The limitations and challenges associated with the most common mater.als ar. discussed as is the need to impr.ve their.pr.per.ies to achieve long-ter., complication-fr.e intr.ocular.implantation. Finally, the pr.spect of applying tissue engineer.ng str.tegies is noted for.its potential to gener.te autologous cor.eal tissue that could be implanted as the optimal inlay or.onlay mater.als.

Total column ozone(TCO)over.the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is lower.than that over.other.r.gions at the same latitude,par.icular.y in *** featur. is known as the“TP ozone valley”.This study evaluates long-ter. changes in TCO and the ozone valley over.the TP fr.m 1984 to 2100 using Coupled Model Inter.ompar.son Pr.ject Phase 6(CMIP6).The TP ozone valley consists of two low center.,one is located in the upper.tr.pospher. and lower.str.tospher.(UTLS),and the other.is in the middle and upper.***,the CMIP6 models simulate the low ozone center.in the UTLS well and captur. the spatial char.cter.stics and seasonal cycle of the TP ozone valley,with spatial cor.elation coefficients between the modeled TCO and the Multi Sensor.r.analysis ver.ion 2(MSr.)TCO obser.ations gr.ater.than 0.8 for.all CMIP6 *** analysis r.veals that models which use fully coupled and online str.tospher.c chemistr. schemes simulate the anticor.elation between the 150 hPa geopotential height and zonal anomaly of TCO over.the TP better.than models without inter.ctive chemistr. *** suggests that coupled chemical-r.diative-dynamical pr.cesses play a key r.le in the simulation of the TP ozone *** CMIP6 models under.stimate the low center.in the middle and upper.str.tospher. when compar.d with the Micr.wave Limb Sounder.MLS)***,the bias in the middle and upper.str.tospher.c ozone simulations has a mar.inal effect on the simulation of the TP ozone *** CMIP6 models pr.dict the TP ozone valley in summer.will deepen in the futur..

Pseudopemphigoid can cause a chr.nic cicatr.cial conjunctivitis that is clinically identical to the manifestations seen in mucous membr.ne pemphigoid, a disor.er.with a common clinical phenotype and multiple autoimmune links. For.the pur.ose of this r.view, we will descr.be pseudopemphigoid as caused by topical dr.gs, the most common etiology with ocular.manifestations, and as caused by the pemphigus disease, a mor. r.r. etiology. Specifically, we will discuss the ophthalmological featur.s of dr.g-induced cicatr.cial conjunctivitis, pemphigus vulgar.s, and par.neoplastic pemphigus. Other.etiologies of pseudopemphigoid exist that will not be descr.bed in this r.view including autoimmune or.inflammator. conditions such as lichen planus, sar.oidosis, gr.nulomatosis with polyangiitis(Wegener.s gr.nulomatosis), er.thema multifor.e(minor. major. and Stevens-Johnson syndr.me), bullous pemphigoid, skin-dominated linear.IgA bullous der.atosis, and skin-dominated epider.olysis bullosa acquisita. Pr.mpt diagnosis of the under.ying etiology in pseudopemphigoid is par.mount to the patient's outcome as cer.ain diseases ar. associated with a mor. sever. clinical cour.e, incr.ased ocular.involvement, and differ.ntial r.sponse to tr.atment. A completehistor. and ocular.examination may find ear.y cicatr.cial changes in the conjunctiva that ar. impor.ant to note and evaluate to avoid pr.gr.ssion to mor. sever. disease manifestations. When such cicatr.cial changes ar. noted, pr.per.diagnostic techniques ar. needed to help elucidate a diagnosis. Lastly, collabor.tion between ophthalmologists and subspecialists such as der.atologists, pathologists, immunologists, and other. involved in the car. of the patient is needed to ensur. optimal management of disease.

Nanotechnology offer. exciting new appr.aches for.biology and medicine. In r.cent year., nanopar.icles,par.icular.y those of the r.r. metal cer.um, ar. showing potential for.a wide r.nge of applications in *** oxide nanopar.icles or.nanocer.a ar. antioxidants and possess catalytic activities that mimic those of super.oxide dismutase and catalase, ther.by pr.tecting cellsfr.m oxidative str.ss. The r.tina is highly susceptible to oxidative str.ss because of its high oxygen consumption and high metabolic activity associated with exposur. to light. Many r.tinal diseases pr.gr.ss thr.ugh oxidative str.ss as a r.sult of a chr.nic or.acute r.se in r.active oxygen species. Diseases of the r.tina ar. the leading causes of blindness thr.ughout the wor.d. Although some tr.atments may delay or.slow the development of r.tinal diseases, ther. ar. no cur.s for.most for.s of blinding diseases. In this r.view is summar.zed evidence that cer.um oxide nanopar.icles can function as catalytic antioxidants in vivo in r.dent models of age-r.lated macular.degener.tion and inher.ted r.tinal degener.tion and may r.pr.sent a novel ther.peutic str.tegy for.the tr.atment of human eye diseases. In this wor.,we demonstr.te the power.of a simple top-down electr.chemical er.sion appr.ach to obtain Pt nanopar.icle with contr.lled shapes and sizes(in the r.nge fr.m-2 to-10 nm).Car.on suppor.ed nanopar.icles with nar.ow size distr.butions have been synthesized by applying an alter.ating voltage to macr.scopic bulk platinum str.ctur.s,such as disks or.*** using any sur.actants,the size and shape of the par.icles can be changed by adjusting simple par.meter. such as the applied potential,fr.quency and electr.lyte *** instance,application of a sinusoidal AC voltage with lower.fr.quencies r.sults in cubic nanopar.icles;wher.as higher.fr.quencies lead to pr.dominantly spher.cal *** the other.hand,the amplitude of the,sinusoidal signal was found to affect the par.icle size;the lower.the amplitude of the applied AC signal,the smaller.the r.sulting par.icle ***/C catalysts pr.par.d by this appr.ach showed 0.76 A/mg mass activity towar.s the oxygen r.duction r.action which is-2 times higher.than the state-of-the-ar. commer.ial Pt/C catalyst(0.42 A/mg)fr.m *** addition to this,we discussed the mechanistic insights about the nanopar.icle for.ation pathways.
