Magnesium alloys are potential biodegradable and biocompatible implant materials because of their excellent biological properties. Recently, interest in these alloys as a promising alternative for temporary orthopedic implants has grown owing to their desirable biological, mechanical, and physical properties. However, the application of magnesium alloys is hindered by their rapid degradation and low corrosion resistance in physiological fluids, leading to the failure of implants. Thus, the current challenge is to enhance the corrosion resistance and control the degradation rate of magnesium under physiological conditions. The rapid degradation of magnesium alloys can be controlled by improving their surface integrity, such as surface roughness and microhardness. The present study aims to improve the surface integrity of the Mg Ze41A alloy by the ball burnishing technique. The surface roughness improved by 94.90% from 0.941 μm to 0.048 μm with a burnishing force of 50 N, burnishing speed of 1 300 r/min, burnishing feed of 130 mm/min, and three passes. Similarly, the microhardness improved by 50.62% from 75.2 Hv to 113.27 Hv with a burnishing force of 60 N, burnishing speed of 1 100 r/min, burnishing feed of 100 mm/min, and five passes. The variations in microhardness, which were observed up to 400 μm beneath the surface, exhibited a linear nature. These variations may be attributed to the movement of dislocations, formation of new dislocations, nanocrystal structures, metastable phases and subgrains, and lattice distortion or grain refinement. The surface features obtained from optical images demonstrated the fundamental mechanisms involved in the ball burnishing process. The concept of burnishing maps and zones will assist in the design of the ball burnishing parameters of a material with an equivalent yield strength of 140 MPa. The present study aims at introducing a newly developed natural fiber called castor oil fiber,termed ricinus communis,as a possible reinforcement in *** short castor oil fiber reinforced epoxy resin composites of different fiber lengths with 40%volume fraction were fabricated using hand layup *** sliding wear tests were performed on a pin-on-disc tribometer based on full factorial design of experiments(DoE)at four fiber lengths(5,10,15,and 20 mm),three normal loads(15,30,and 45 N),and three sliding distances(1,000,2,000,and 3,000 m).The effect of individual parameters on the amount of wear,interfacial temperature,and coefficient of friction was studied using analysis of variance(ANOvA).The composite with 5 mm fiber length provided the best tribological properties than 10,15,and 20 mm fiber length *** worn surfaces were analyzed under scanning electron ***,the tribological behavior of the composites was predicted using regression,artificial neural network(ANN)-single hidden layer,and ANN-multi hidden layer *** confirmatory test results show the reliability of predicted *** with multi hidden layers are found to predict the tribological performance accurately and then followed by ANN with single hidden layer and regression model.

Dendritic cells(DCs)are the master regulators of the immune response and engage in constant cross-talk with other immune cells to initiate an appropriate immune *** outcome of cross-talk with various immune cells towards DC functions has been shown to be dependent on the particular subset of cells and their activation *** we show that for human B cells to induce maturation of DCs with an enhanced T-cell stimulatory capacity,B-cell receptor(BCR)signaling is sufficient for memory B-cells,whereas additional CD40 signaling is required for naïve B cells to induce complete activation of DCs.

Basophils are rare *** representing only~0.5%of all leukocytes,basophils have several important physiological functions.1,2 Although basophils lack the classic features of professional antigen-presenting cells,3–7 through the secretion of cytokines,they orient the immune response by polarizing Th2 differentiation and supporting B-cell differentiation and class *** are also critical for mediating protection against helminth infection.1,2,8,9 Basophils receive activation signals from diverse *** is well recognized that cytokines such as IL-3,granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF),thymic stromal lymphopoietin(TSLP)and IL-33;various toll-like receptor ligands;allergen-bound IgE provide activation signals to basophils and induce the release of inflammatory mediators.10–15 In addition,several reports have also demonstrated the existence of anti-IgE autoantibodies that possess the capacity to induce basophil activation in patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria(CSU),atopic or non-atopic asthma or autoimmune disease.16–21 However,isolation and functional exploration of such anti-IgE IgG autoantibodies from either healthy donors or patients have not been attempted *** using a pooled normal IgG preparation from healthy donors,specifically intravenous immunoglobulin G(IvIG)22 that represents the complete IgG repertoire of a normal individual,we attempted to address this outstanding question in the field.

A wideband rectangular patch antenna resonat- ing at 3.5 GHz and 8 GHz frequencies is developed on a flexible substrate, which can be used for wearable applications. The proposed antenna gives a wide impe- dance bandwidth of 116%, operating from *** to 9.5 GHz, covering most of the ultra-wideband （UWB） operating frequency range. A two-element multiple-input multiple-output （MIMO） system is developed using the proposed antenna, and the mutual coupling between the two antennas for various separations and frequencies is analyzed by using artificial neural networks （ANNs）. The neural structure is trained by using different ANN algorithms and a comparative study is made between them. It is shown that, quasi-Newton （QN） and quasi- Newton multi layer perceptron （QN-MLP） algorithms are better in terms of training, testing errors, and correlation coefficient.

CD4＋FoxP3＋ regulatory T cells （Tregs） are immunosuppressive cells that are critical for immune tolerance. Several studies have demonstrated that one of the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of action of intravenous immunoglobulin （Wig） involves the expansion of Tregs. Recently, we demonstrated that IvIgmediated Treg expansion involves the cyclooxygenase-2 （COX-2）-dependent induction of prostaglandin E2 （PGE2） in human dendritic cells （DCs）. However, the validity of these findings in autoimmune patients is lacking.
