Synergistic passivation of MAPbI_(3) perovskite solar cells by compositional engineering using acetamidinium bromide additives

For the global commercialization of highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells(PSCs),it is necessary to effectively suppress the formation of various defects acting as nonradiative recombination sources in perovskite light-harvesting *** defects between the charge-selective layer and the perovskite are easily formed in the solution process used to fabricate perovskite *** addition,owing to the difference in thermal expansion coefficients between the substrate and the perovskite film,internal residual tensile stress inevitably occurs,resulting in increased nonradiative ***,a simple compositional engineering scheme for realizing efficient and stable PSCs,which incorporates acetamidinium bromide(AABr)as an additive into the MAPbI_(3) lattice,is *** an additive,AABr has been found to provide synergistic multiple passivation for both internal and interfacial *** was found to effectively release the tensile strain of the MAPbI_(3) film by forming a structure stabilized by NH-I hydrogen bonds,as evidenced by calculations based on density functional theory(DFT).Furthermore,the incorporated AABr additives created a charge carrier recombination barrier to enhance charge collection capability by reducing interfacial ***,a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 20.18%was achieved using a planar device employing AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3).This was substantially higher than the 18.32% PCE of a pristine MAPbI_(3)-based ***,unencapsulated PSCs using AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3) absorbers exhibited excellent long-term stability,maintaining>95% of initial PCE up to 1200 hours in ambient air.

Etching characteristics and surface modification of InGaSnO thin films under Cl_(2)/Ar plasma

Indium gallium tin oxide(IGTO)thin films have the potential for high mobility and lowtemperature processing,which makes them suitable for applications such as display backplanes and high-voltage switching ***,very few studies have investigated the plasmaetching characteristics of IGTO and changes in its properties after *** this study,the etching characteristics of IGTO were investigated using Cl_(2)/Ar plasma,and changes in surface properties were *** showed that the etch rate increased with an increase in the proportion of Cl_(2),with the highest etch rate observed at 69 nm min^(-1)in pure Cl_(2)plasma with a gas flow rate of 100 ***,increased radio-frequency power caused a rise in the etch rate,while a process pressure of 15 m Torr was *** primary etching mechanism for IGTO thin films under Cl_(2)plasma was a chemical reaction,and an increased work function indicated the occurrence of defects on the *** addition,the etching process reduced the surface roughness of Cl_(2)-containing plasma,whereas the etching process in pure Ar plasma increased surface *** study contributes to a better understanding of the plasmaetching characteristics of IGTO and changes in its properties after etching,providing valuable insights for IGTO-based applications.

A flexible electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding film was innovatively fabricated using both low melting temperature solder arrays and amorphous soft magnet particulates consolidated on a polyethylene terephthalate(PET)***,the IneSneBi solder arrays presented a low melting point of 99.4C,which enabled attachment to the heat-sensitive plastic substrate without any thermal damage,and a low electrical resistivity of 14.1 mU cm,making them very effective at interrupting EM ***,the solder arrays with a high thermal conductivity of 61.2 W/(m$K)at 298.15 K were also useful as a thermal conductor for a heat ***,the solder arrays provide efficient electrical and thermal channels for electron transport induced by abruptly or consistently created EM waves due to suddenly turning on and the long term operation of electronics,***,the Fe-based magnetic particulates were added and resulted in effective saturation magnetization of 161.1 emu/g,remanence of 2.9 emu/g,and coercivity of 12.5 G,thus were able to disturb the EM pathway because of their soft magnetic ***,the hybrid EMI shielding film with exceptionally high electrical and thermal conductivity and superior soft magnetic properties provided remarkable shielding effectiveness of 102.5 dB at 10.2 GHz.

Influence of a UV-ozone treatment on amorphous SnO_(2) electron selective layers for highly efficient planar MAPbI3 perovskite solar cells

The effect of ultraviolet-ozone(UVO)irradiation on amorphous(am)SnO_(2) and its impact on the photoconversion efficiency of MAPbI3-based perovskite solar cells were investigated in *** treatment was found to increase the amount of chemisorbed oxygen on the am-SnO_(2) surface,reducing the surface energy and contact *** changes in the am-SnO_(2) surface lowered the Gibbs free energy for the densification of perovskite films and facilitated the formation of homogeneous perovskite *** addition,the Fermi energy of the UVO-treated am-SnO_(2) shifted upwards to achieve an ideal band offset for MAPbI3,which was verified by theoretical calculations based on the density functional *** achieved a champion efficiency of 19.01% with a statistical reproducibility of 17.01±1.34% owing to improved perovskite film densification and enhanced charge transport/extraction,which is considerably higher than the 13.78±2.15% of the ***,UVO-treated,am-SnO_(2)-based devices showed improved stability and less hysteresis,which is encouraging for the future application of up-scaled perovskite solar cells.

Unlocking power of neighboring vacancies in boosting hydrogen evolution reactions on two-dimensional NiPS3 monolayer

This study investigates the effect of defect engineering on the catalytic activity of a NiPS3 monolayer catalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Three different types of vacancies on the basal plane of the monolayer are explored through a multi-step mechanism involving the dissociative adsorption of a water molecule and subsequent electrochemical adsorption of the dissociated ***-formation of vacancies in both Ni and S sites is found to be the most effective in enhancing the catalytic performance of the monolayer.A key resource for the reaction thermodynamics is the S-substitution-like physisorption of a water molecule on a vacant S site,followed by the dissociative occupation of OH and H into vacant sites of S and Ni elements,boosted by the NiS di-vacancy configuration with low activation energy *** reveals the highest contribution of bonding orbitals to the monolayer-H bond makes it the most desirable defect engineering approach for transition metal phosphorus chalcogenides with high HER ***,this study highlights the significance of controlled defect engineering in augmenting the catalytic performance of NiPS3 monolayer catalysts for HER.

Improved Cycle Properties of FeS_2 Cathode Material with Metallic Additives

Iron disulfide(FeS_2)cathode active material was prepared from iron and sulfur at room temperature by high energy mechanical *** FeS_2 composites containing Co or Ni transition metal powders as additives were also prepared by the same *** cells with these FeS_2 cathodes were studied for charge-discharge properties at room temperature using 0.5M LiTFSI in tetra(ethylene glycol)dimethyl ether(TEGDME)*** voltammetry showed two anodic oxidation peaks at 1.8 and 2.5V and two cathodic reduction peaks at 2.0 and 1.3 V for FeS_2 with metal *** addition of 5wt% Co and 3wt% Ni resulted in an enhancement of the first discharge capacity giving 571 and 844mAh/g respectively at *** cycle performance was also enhanced remarkably by the addition of these electrically conductive transition metals in the active ***_2 with 5wt% Co exhibited a stable cycle performance delivering a reversible capacity of 338mAh/g(37.8% of theoretical capacity)after 20 cycles.

INTERDECADAL VARIATION IN THE ACTIVITY OF TROPICAL CYCLONES AFFECTING KOREA

By performing a statistical change-point analysis of activities of the tropical cyclones(TCs)that have affected Korea(K-TCs),it was found that there was a signifi cant change between 1983 and *** the period of 1984-2004(P2),more TCs migrated toward the west,recurved in the southwest,and affected Korea,compared to the period of 1965-1983(P1).These changes for P2 were related to the southwestward expansion of the subtropical western Pacifi c high(SWPH)and,simultaneously,elongation of its elliptical shape toward *** of these changes,the central pressure and lifetime of K-TC during P2 were deeper and longer,respectively,than fi gures for *** stronger K-TC intensity for P2 was related to the more southwestward genesis due to the southwestward expansion of the *** weaker vertical wind shear environment during P2 was more favorable for K-TC to maintain a strong intensity in the mid-latitudes of East Asia.

TROPICAL CYCLONE OCCURRENCE PROBABILITY FORECASTING MODEL IN THE WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC

A seasonal probability prediction model for tropical cyclone(TC)genesis in the western North Pacifi c(5°-25°N,110°-180°E)was developed using a simple logistic regression *** predictors used in this model were total fi ve:850 h Pa relative vorticity,200-850 h Pa vertical wind shear,600 h Pa relative humidity,300 h Pa equivalent potential temperature,and sea surface temperature(SST).Four predictors except for SST were obtained from differences of spatial-averaged value between May and January,and time average of Ni?o-3.4 index from February to April was used to consider the SST *** a result of prediction for the TC genesis from June to December during 1951 to 2007,years that the model forecasts are 21 years among the total 28 years when the observed TC genesis frequency was higher than normal *** overall predictability was about 75%,and the model was also verifi ed statistically through cross validation analysis using a method of the hindcast.

Low Phase Noise VCO using Novel Harmonic Control Circuit Based on Quad-band Composite Right/Left-handed Transmission Line

In this paper, a novel Voltage-Controlled Oscillator （VCO） using the harmonic control circuit based on the quad-band Composite Right/Left-Handed （CRLH） Transmission Line （TL） is presented to reduce the phase noise without the reduction of the frequeacy tuning range and miniaturizing the circuit size. The phase noise has been reduced by the quad-band harmonic control circuit which has the short impedance for the second- and third- and fourth- and fifth-hannonic components. The CRLH TL with two Left-Handed （LH）（backward） and two Right-Handed （RH）（forward） pass bands are used to design the quad-band harmonic control circuit. The high- Q resonator has been used to reduce the phase noise, but it has the problem of the frequency timing range reduction. However, the frequency tuning range of the proposed VCO has not reduced because the phase noise has reduced without the high-Q resonator. The miniaturization of the circuit size is achieved by using the quad-band CRLH TL instead of the conventional RH TL, The phase noise of VCO is - 124.43～ - 122.67 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz in the tuning range of 5. 729 ～5.934 GHz.
