Although antiretroviral treatment lowers the burden of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-related disease,it does not always result in immunological *** manifests as persistent chronic inflammation,immune activation or exhaustion that can promote the onset of *** the exact function of regulatory T(Treg)cells in HIV remains unclear,this cross-sectional study investigated three expression markers(Forkhead box protein P3[FOXP3],glycoprotein A repetitions predominant[GARP],special AT-rich sequence binding protein 1[SATB1])and compared their expansion between CD4^(+)CD25^(-)and CD4^(+)CD25^(++)T ***-matched study subjects were recruited(Western Cape,South Africa)and sub-divided:HIV-negative subjects(n=12),HIV-positive na(i|")ve treated(n=22),HIV-positive treated based on CD4 count cells/μL(CD4>500 and CD41000)(n=34).Markers of immune activation(CD38)and coagulation(CD142)on T cells(CD8)were assessed by flow cytometry together with FOXP3,GARP and SATB1 expression on CD4^(+)CD25^(-)and CD4^(+)CD25^(++)T *** levels of interleukin-10(IL-10;anti-inflammatory marker),IL-6(inflammatory marker)and D-dimer(coagulation marker)were *** study revealed three major findings in immuno-compromised patients with virological failure(CD41000):(1)the expansion of the unconventional Treg cell subset(CD4^(+)CD25^(-)FOXP3^(+))is linked with disease progression markers;(2)increased GARP expression in the CD4^(+)CD25^(-)and CD4^(+)CD25^(++)subsets;and(3)the identification of a strong link between CD4^(+)CD25^(-)SATB1+cells and markers of immune activation(CD8^(+)CD38^(+))and coagulation(CD8^(+)CD142^(+)and D-dimer).

The aim of this study was to determine the source apportionment of dust fall around Lake Chini, Malaysia. Samples were collected monthly between December 2012 and March2013 at seven sampling stations located around Lake Chini. The samples were filtered to separate the dissolved and undissolved solids. The ionic compositions（NO-3, SO2-4, Cl-and NH＋4） were determined using ion chromatography（IC） while major elements（K, Na, Ca and Mg） and trace metals（Zn, Fe, Al, Ni, Mn, Cr, Pb and Cd） were determined using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry（ICP-MS）. The results showed that the average concentration of total solids around Lake Chini was 93.49 ± 16.16 mg/（m2·day）. SO2-4, Na and Zn dominated the dissolved portion of the dust fall. The enrichment factors（EF） revealed that the source of the trace metals and major elements in the rain water was anthropogenic, except for Fe. Hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis（HACA） classified the seven monitoring stations and 16 variables into five groups and three groups respectively. A coupled receptor model, principal component analysis multiple linear regression（PCA-MLR）, revealed that the sources of dust fall in Lake Chini were dominated by agricultural and biomass burning（42%）,followed by the earth＇s crust（28%）, sea spray（16%） and a mixture of soil dust and vehicle emissions（14%）.

五、六十年代,多数发展中国家,特别是大国,极力实行进口替代工业化战略(ISI)。这种建立在贸易保护主义基础上的战略往往导致了工业的严重低效。七十年代初越来越多的发展中国家放松经济管制,实行贸易自由化,从而促进了经济的增长,提高了效率。一些发展中国家还试图用战略型贸易政策来实现内生增长,但只取得了有限的成绩。然而,在新的国际贸易规则下,其它发展中国家想完全照搬“东亚奇迹”是不可能的,也是不适宜的。因为“东亚奇迹”是在激励国内企业高效和竞争的同时,在强大的政府支持下产生的。本文首先评述一下通过进口替代实现国家工业化的利弊以及发展中国家近一时期向贸易自由化转型以实现工业化的情况,然后再来探讨一下战略型贸易政策和内生增长理论对经济发展的重要性。

Coronary artery disease(CAD)is the leading cause of death worldwide,but because of several factors,one of which is antiplatelet therapy,the mortality rates have steadily ***,women continue to experience higher CAD mortality rates than *** may be explained by differences in comorbidities,increased time to presentation,higher bleeding rates,and differences in *** are numerous landmark trials in the field of antiplatelet therapy;however,women are consistently underrepresented in these *** results of these trials reveal that women experience the same benefit as men from antiplatelet therapy but experience higher bleeding rates;therefore bleeding-reduction strategies are imperative in this patient *** review provides an overview of the available evidence on CAD in women and its implications for antiplatelet medications.

Dapagliflozin and Spironolactone Improved Clinical Symptoms and CV Outcomes in Patient with HF Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) in Hard-to-Reach Rural African Population: A Case Series

Objective: To observe the benefit of mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist and sodium-glucose co-transport 2 inhibitor (SGLT2 inhibitor) in heart failure preserved ejection (HFpEF) in rural Tanzania. Background and Result: The use of spironolactone and dapagliflozin was shown to be effective in improving the clinical outcome and reducing CV hospitalization rate and CV mortality in patients with heart failure preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (HFpEF). This is the case presentation of one patient with HFpEF with diastolic dysfunction grade 3, obesity grade 3, Type 2 Diabetes, and Atrial Fibrillation (permanent). In the case of a 76-year-old female after previous ineffective treatment, the initiation of Spironolactone and Dapagliflozin led to a rapid and marked improvement in the clinical conditions. Diastolic dysfunction was improved from stage III to stage I. Moreover, the initiation of spironolactone and dapagliflozin therapy avoided a referral for surgical intervention and interrupted a long series of hospitalizations for acute HF and prevented CV death. Conclusion: Based on our experience, we conclude that the treatment with spironolactone and dapagliflozin allows for better treatment optimization with a positive impact on the control of clinical outcomes and preventing CV death and CV hospitalization in HFpEF and related comorbidities in the African population, which is underrepresented in most of the trials.

Experimental measurements made in this study on human and porcine eyes suggest that the resonant frequency for both cornea and sclera varies from 130 to 150 Hz and increases slightly with increasing intraocular pressure. The values of the moduli calculated using the experimental values of the thickness are close to 2 MPa. Similar values of the modulus for cornea and sclera suggest that there is very little stress concentration at the cornea-scleral junction and that any stress concentration that occurs probably resides at the scleral attachment laterally and posteriorly. These moduli are close to those measured in vivo on human skin suggesting that the mechanism of tensile deformation of skin, cornea and sclera are similar. Our results suggest that the modulus of cornea and sclera can be measured non-invasively and non-destructively using vibrational OCT. Results of these studies will assist clinicians to better understand the influence of biomechanics on the outcome of corneal refractive surgery as well as the pathogenesis of eye disorders such as glaucoma, myopia and keratoconus.
