BACKGROUND Osteoarthritis(OA)is the most common joint disorder,is associated with an increasing socioeconomic impact owing to the ageing *** To analyze and compare the efficacy and safety of bone-marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells(BM-MSCs)and adipose tissue-derived MSCs(AD-MSCs)in knee OA management from published randomized controlled trials(RCTs).METHODS Independent and duplicate electronic database searches were performed,including PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,and Cochrane Library,until August 2021 for RCTs that analyzed the efficacy and safety of AD-MSCs and BM-MSCs in the management of knee *** visual analog scale(VAS)score for pain,Western Ontario McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC),Lysholm score,Tegner score,magnetic resonance observation of cartilage repair tissue score,knee osteoarthritis outcome score(KOOS),and adverse events were *** was performed on the R-platform using OpenMeta(Analyst)***-one studies,involving 936 patients,were *** one study compared the two MSC sources without patient randomization;hence,the results of all included studies from both sources were pooled,and a comparative critical analysis was *** At six months,both AD-MSCs and BM-MSCs showed significant VAS improvement(P=0.015,P=0.012);this was inconsistent at 1 year for BM-MSCs(P<0.001,P=0.539),and AD-MSCs outperformed BM-MSCs compared to controls in measures such as WOMAC(P<0.001,P=0.541),Lysholm scores(P=0.006;P=0.933),and KOOS(P=0.002;P=0.012).BM-MSC-related procedures caused significant adverse events(P=0.003)compared to AD-MSCs(P=0.673).CONCLUSION Adipose tissue is superior to bone marrow because of its safety and consistent efficacy in improving pain and functional *** trials are urgently warranted to validate our findings and reach a consensus on the ideal source of MSCs for managing knee OA.

Purpose:Open tibia fracture is prone to infection,consequently causing significant morbidity and increasing the hospital stay,occupational loss and onset of chronic *** nailing is one choice for treating tibia shaft *** improve the delivery of antibiotics at the tissue-implant interface,many methods have been proposed as a part of prophylaxis against *** study was conducted to study the role of gentamicin-impregnated intramedullary interlocking(IMIL)nail in the prevention of infection in Gustilo typeⅠandⅡopen tibia fractures and to compare the results with regular intramedullary ***:The study included 28 patients with open tibia fractures(Gustilo type 1 or type 2);of them 14 underwent regular IMIL nailing and the other 14 were treated with gentamicin-coated *** was done by alternate allocation of the ***-up was done postoperatively(day 1),1 week,6 weeks,and 6 months for bone union,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),hemoglobin and C?reactive protein(CRP).Statistical significance was tested using unpaired t-test.A p value less than 0.05 was considered ***:There were 4 cases of infection in controls(regular IMIL nail)and no infection among patients treated with gentamicin-coated nail during the follow up(Х^2=4.66,p=0.031).At 6 months postoperatively,CRP(p=0.031),ESR(p=0.046)and hemoglobin level(p=0.016)showed significant difference between two *** bone healing rate was better with gentamicin-coated nail in comparison to regular IMIL nail at 6 months follow-up(p=0.016).Conclusion:Gentamicin-coated IMIL nail has a positive role in preventing infection in Gustilo typeⅠandⅡopen tibia fractures.

AIM To study the spectrum of cardiac manifestations in scrub typhus infection and assess its relationship to *** Demographic data, electrocardiographic(ECG) changes, left ventricular (LV) systolic and diastolic function, myocardial injury (defined as troponin T > 14 pg/mL), and pericardial effusion were documented. Myocarditis was diagnosed when myocardial injury was associated with global LV systolic dysfunction. The relationship between myocarditis and outcomes was assessed using logistic regression analysis and expressed as odds ratio(OR) with 95%*** The cohort(n = 81; 35 males) aged 49.4 ± 16.1 years(mean, SD) presented 8.1 ± 3.1 d after symptom onset. The APACHE-Ⅱ score was 15.7 ± 7.0. Fortyeight (59%) patients were ventilated, and 46 (56%) required vasoactive agents. Mortality was 9.9%. ECG changes were non-specific; sinus tachycardia was the most common finding. Myocardial injury was evident in 61.7% of patients and LV systolic dysfunction in 30.9%. A diagnosis of myocarditis was made in 12.3%. In addition, seven patients with regional wall motion abnormalities had LV systolic dysfunction and elevated cardiac enzymes. Mild diastolic dysfunction was observed in 18 (22%) patients. Mild to moderate pericardial effusion was seen in 51%. On multivariate logistic regression analysis, patients with myocarditis tended to be older (OR = 1.04, 95%CI: 0.99-1.09), had shorter symptom duration (OR = 0.69, 95%CI: 0.49-0.98), and tended to stay longer in hospital(OR = 1.17, 95%CI: 0.98-1.40). Myocarditis was not associated with increased *** In scrub typhus infection, cardiac manifestations are frequent and associated with increased morbidity but not mortality.

目的:完全肿瘤细胞减灭术(cytoreductive surgery,CRS)及术后辅助化疗,是晚期原发性上皮性卵巢癌(epithelial ovarian cancer,EOC)的重要预后因素。然而,EOC患者接受辅助化疗开始时机及其与预后的关系尚不明确,值得深入探讨。方法:本研究选取2010年1月至2017年12月在印度班加罗尔马尼帕尔综合癌症中心接受完全细胞减灭术的185例晚期原发性EOC患者,其中部分患者接受腹腔化疗或辅助化疗,部分患者未接受腹腔化疗和辅助化疗。分别记录并分析术后开始进行辅助化疗的时间及其对预后的影响。结果:接受单纯CRS、CRS联合经腹腔港的腹腔内化疗(intraperitoneal chemotherapy,IP)或腹腔热灌注化疗(hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy,HIPEC)的患者分别为50例、60例和75例。CRS组术后开始接受辅助化疗的平均时间为32天,CRS+IP组为34天,CRS+HIPEC组为41天。CRS组中,术后化疗间隔时间>42天对无复发生存(relapse-free survival,RFS)期有显著影响(36个月vs. 17个月:P=0.02);在CRS+IP组中,患者RFS差异无统计学意义(35个月vs. 28个月;P=0.78);CRS+HIPEC组,RFS差异无统计学意义(35个月vs. 32个月;P=0.17)。如期行辅助化疗患者生存期较延迟化疗更好(88个月vs. 71个月,P=0.49)。结论:化疗时间延迟是单纯接受完全CRS患者RFS的不良预后因素。与非HIPEC组相比,化疗时间延迟对HIPEC组患者并未产生显著影响,其原因可能在于术中单次HIPEC弥补了化疗时间延迟带来的不利影响。

Global depletion of energy supply due to the continuing over-utilization is a major problem of the present and future world *** is estimated that the fossil fuels will be exhausted in the next few *** today s energy demanding life style,there is always a need for exploring and exploiting new sources of energy which are renewable as well as *** digestion is a technology that utilizes various organic wastes（animal manure,energy crops and industrial wastes） to produce biofuel methane,which holds promise for the future while simultaneously addressing ecological and agrochemical *** the present study,kinetics of anaerobic digestion of dry water hyacinth,poultry litter,cow manure and primary sludge were undertaken in 250 ml biodigesters with 7% total solids and 60 days retention time and modified Gompertz equation was tested for its *** kinetic parameters viz.,biogas yield potential（P）,the maximum biogas production rate（Rm） and the duration of lag phase（λ） were estimated for each *** digester fed with poultry litter produced maximum biogas（0.39 l（g VS）-1） and kinetic parameters P,Rm and λ were 0.3904 l（g VS）-1;0.0165 l（g VS）-1d-1 and 8.7498 days respectively.
