Transverse momentum balance of dijets in Xe+Xe collisions at the LHC

We present a theoretical study of the medium modifications of the p_(T)balance (x_(J)) of dijets in Xe+Xe collisions at■.The initial production of dijets was carried out using the POWHEG+PYTHIA8 pres.r.ption,which matches the next-toleading-order (NLO) QCD matrix elements with the parton shower (Ps) *** sHELL model des.r.bed the in-medium evolution of nucleus–nucleus collisions using a transport *** theoretical results of the dijet xJin the Xe+Xe collisions exhibit more imbalanced dis.r.butions than those in the p+p collisions,consistent with recently reported ATLAs *** utilizing the Interleaved Flavor Neutralisation,an infrared-and-collinear-safe jet flavor algorithm,to identify the flavor of the recons.r.cted jets,we classify dijets processes into three categories:gluon–gluon (gg),quark–gluon (qg),and quark–quark (qq),and investigated the respective medium modification patterns and fraction changes of the gg,qg,and qq components of the dijet sample in Xe+Xe *** is shown that the increased fraction of qg component at a small x_(J)contributes to the imbalance of the dijet;in particular,the q_(1)g_(2)(quark-jet-leading) dijets experience more significant asymmetric energy loss than the g_(1)q_(2)(gluon-jet-leading) dijets traversing the *** comparing the■of inclusive,■ dijets in Xe+Xe collisions,we obs.r.e■.Moreover,ρ_(Xe),P_(b),the ratios of the nuclear modification factors of dijets in Xe+Xe to those in Pb+Pb,were calculated,which indicates that the yield suppression of dijets in Pb+Pb is more pronounced than that in Xe+Xe owing to the larger radius of the lead nucleus.

Over the past century,ferroelectricity has offered exciting opportunities for fundamental research and device ***,most of the discovered excellent ferroelectrics are oxide materials with large band gaps,limiting their potential for optoelectronics *** using first-principles calculations we identify a new narrow-gap ferroelectric beyond oxides,i.e.,ferroelectric perovskite sulphide BaZrs_(3).Under large compressive s.r.ins,BaZrs_(3)can be stabilized into a unique supertetragonal phase with an extraordinary polarization of 67.16μC/cm^(2),which is even s.r.nger than that of conventional oxide ***,the supertetragonal BaZrs_(3)exhibits a direct narrow band gap of 1.2 eV and excellent electronic *** on the chemical bonding analysis,we attribute the formation of supertetragonal phase to charge re-ordering in which theπbond overlap along the long〈Zr-s〉bond completely vanishes and the antibonding states of theσbond appear below the Fermi *** work provides a conceptual s.r.tegy for designing new ferroelectrics for electronic and photovoltaic applications.

In this paper,a novel ternary eutectic salt Na_(2)CO_(3)-Li_(2)CO_(3)-LiF was designed and investigated for concentrated solar power(CsP).The Factsage software was used to predict the composition and eutectic point of Na_(2)CO_(3)-Li_(2)CO_(3)-*** micros.r.cture,thermophysical properties,and thermal stability of eutectic salts were experimentally meas.r.d using various analytical *** a mass.r.tio of 57%:32%:11%,the eutectic salt exhibited excellent thermal storage properties with a fusion enthalpy of 413 J/g and a melting point of 426.8℃.The excellent thermal stability of the eutectic salt was.r.flected by a weight loss of only 0.8% at 600℃.

Comparison of ErA5 turbulent fluxes at the air-sea interface with meas.r.ments from a wave-following platform

Turbulent fluxes at the air-sea interface were estimated with data collected in 2011-2020 with a low-profile platform named OCArINA during eight experiments in five regions:2011,2015,and 2016 in the Iroise sea;2012 in the tropical Atlantic;2014 in the Chilie-Peru upwelling;2017 and 2018 in the Mediterranean sea,and 2018 and 2020 in *** obs.r.ations were carried out with moderate winds(2-10 m s-1) and average wave heights of 1.5 *** this study,the authors used the fluxes calculated by the bulk method using OCArINA-sampled data as the *** data can validate the fluxes estimated from ErAs.r.analysis *** OCArINA and ErA5 data were taken *** do this,the authors established an algorithm to extract the OCArINA data as closely as possible to the reanalysis data in time and *** meas.r.ments of the OCArINA platform can conclude on the relevance of the widely used reanalysis data.

Over the past century, ferroelectricity has offered exciting opportunities for fundamental research and device ***, most of the discovered excellent ferroelectrics are oxide materials with large band gaps, limiting their potential for optoelectronics applications. Here using first-principles calculations we identify a new narrow-gap ferroelectric beyond oxides,i.e., ferroelectric perovskite sulphide BaZrs3. Under large compressive s.r.ins, BaZrs3can be stabilized into a unique supertetragonal phase with an extraordinary polarization of 67.16 μC/cm2, which is even s.r.nger than that of conventional oxide ferroelectrics. Excitingly, the supertetragonal BaZrs3exhibits a direct narrow band gap of 1.2 eV and excellent electronic properties. Based on the chemical bonding analysis, we attribute the formation of supertetragonal phase to charge re-ordering in which the π bond overlap along the long ?Zr-s? bond completely vanishes and the antibonding states of the σ bond appear below the Fermi level. Our work provides a conceptual s.r.tegy for designing new ferroelectrics for electronic and photovoltaic applications.
