RAMAN SPEcTROScOPIc STUDY ON PREDIcTION OF TREATMENT RESPONSE IN cERVIcAL cANcERS

concurrent chemoradiotherapy(ccRT)is the choice of treatment for locally adv anced cervical cancers;however,tumors exhibit diverse response to *** prediction of tumor response leads to individualizing treatment *** evaluation criteria in solid tumors(REcIST),the current modality of tumor response assessment,is often subject ive and carried out at the first visit after treatment,which is about four ***,there is a need for better predictive tool for *** spectroscopic techniques,sensitive to molecular alteration,are being pursued as potential diagnostic *** pilot study ains to explore the fiber-optic-based Raman spectroscopy approach in prediction of tumor response to ccRT,before taking up extensive in vivo *** vivo Raman spectra were acquired from biopsies collected from 11 normal(148 spectra),16 tumor(201 spectra)and 13 complete response(151 cR spectra),one partial response(8 PR spectra)and one nonresponder(8 NR spectra)*** was analyzed using principal component linear discriminant analysis(Pc-LDA)followed by leave-one-out cross-validation(LOO-cV).Findings suggest that normal tissues can be efficiently classified from both pre-and post-treated tumor biopsies,while there is an overlap between pre-and post-ccRT tumor *** of cR,PR and NR tissues were subjected to principal component analysis(PcA)and a tendency of classification was observed,corroborating previous ***,this study further supports the feasibility of Raman spectroscopy in prediction of tumor radioresponse and prospective noninvasive in vivo applications.

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in a global *** the present study,biochemical changes exerted upon Pentoxifylline(PTX)treatment had been ap-praised in human breast cancer cells using Raman *** are no clinically approved methods to monitor such therapeutic responses *** spectral profiling is suggestive of changes in DNA,protein and lipid contents showing a linear relationship with drug ***,multivariate analysis using principal component based linear-discriminant-analysis(Pc-LDA)was employed for dlassifying the control and the PTX treated *** findings support the feasibility of Raman spectroscopy as an alternate/adjunct label-free,objective method for monitoring drug-induced modifications against breast cancer cells.

Imatinib is the standard first line treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia(cML).Owing to doserelated toxicities of Imatinib such as neutropenia,there is scope for treatment optimization through therapeutic drug monitoring(TDM).Trough concentration of 1g/mL is considered the therapeutic *** methods for the detection of Imatinib in plasma are limited by long read out time and expensive ***,Raman spectroscopy was explored as a rapid and objective tool for monitoring Imatinib *** approaches:conventional Raman spectroscopy(cRS),Drop coating deposition Raman(DcDR)spectroscopy and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)were employed to detect the required trough concentration of 1g/mL and *** of therapeutically relevant concentrations(1g/mL)using SERS and suitable nanoparticle substrates has been ***,rigorous validation using clinical samples is necessary to confirm the utility of this approach in routine clinical usage.

Enhanced saturation magnetization in La^(3+) doped Nico ferrites prepared by sol-gel auto-combustion method

Lanthanum doped nickel-cobalt nano ferrites with chemical formula Ni_(0.5)co_(0.5)LaxFe_(2-x)O_(4)(x=0.05,0,10,0.15 and 0,20) were prepared using a simple sol-gel auto combustion *** basic structural properties were determined by X-ray diffraction method and the formation of single phased spinel ferrite was *** crystalline size decreased from 25 to 11 nm and lattice parameter a increases with increase of La *** surface morphology of these ferrites was observed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM) and agglomerated irregular grains are observed with increase of the rare earth element La ***-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX) result confirms the presence of the required *** Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) spectrum indicates the formation of the spinel ferrite structure with M-O *** direct band measurements from ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy(UV-Vis) spectroscopy indicate that the direct band gap decreases from 1.39 to 1.19 eV for x=0.05 to x=0.15,then increases to 1.28 eV for x=*** room temperature magnetic properties of these ferrites were studied by a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).The enhanced saturation magnetization of 49.73 emu/g is observed for x=0.10 and then saturation magnetizations are gradually decreased for x=0.15 and x=*** the remanent magnetization and coercivity also follow the same trend.

IoT Task Offloading in Edge computing Using Non-cooperative Game Theory for Healthcare Systems

In this paper,we present a comprehensive system model for Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)networks empowered by Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)and Mobile Edge computing(MEc)*** network comprises essential components such as base stations,edge servers,and numerous IIoT devices characterized by limited energy and computing *** central challenge addressed is the optimization of resource allocation and task distribution while adhering to stringent queueing delay constraints and minimizing overall energy *** system operates in discrete time slots and employs a quasi-static approach,with a specific focus on the complexities of task partitioning and the management of constrained resources within the IIoT *** study makes valuable contributions to the field by enhancing the understanding of resourceefficient management and task allocation,particularly relevant in real-time industrial *** results indicate that our proposed algorithmsignificantly outperforms existing approaches,reducing queue backlog by 45.32% and 17.25% compared to SMRA and AcRA while achieving a 27.31% and 74.12% improvement in Qn ***,the algorithmeffectively balances complexity and network performance,as demonstratedwhen reducing the number of devices in each group(Ng)from 200 to 50,resulting in a 97.21% reduction in complexity with only a 7.35% increase in energy *** research offers a practical solution for optimizing IIoT networks in real-time industrial settings.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is emerging as a common cause of chronic liver disease in children and *** can progress to steatohepa-titis and potentially even hepatocellular *** identification of pati-ents at risk for progressive disease is crucial for managing *** studies have identified long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs),circular RNAs,and microRNAs as playing important roles in the pathogenesis of *** noncoding RNAs are involved in modulating several metabolic pathways such as hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism,oxidative stress,and even *** levels of lncARSR and lncRNA nuclear-enriched abundant transcript 1 have been found in patients with *** addition,lncRNAs such as PRYP4-3 and RP11-128N14.5 can distinguish patients with NAFLD from healthy *** MEG3 expression has been observed in both NAFLD and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis,suggesting that it may help predict patients at risk for disease *** advances in transcriptomics,we may discover additional targets to help in the identification and prognostication of NAFLD.

Nomograms and prognosis for superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

In recent years,endoscopic resection,particularly endoscopic submucosal dis-section,has become increasingly popular in treating non-metastatic superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(EScc).In this evolving paradigm,it is crucial to identify factors that predict higher rates of lymphatic invasion and poorer *** tumor size,deeper invasion,poorer differentiation,more infiltrative growth patterns(INF-c),higher-grade tumor budding,positive lymphovascular invasion,and certain biomarkers have been associated with lymph node metastasis and increased morbidity through retrospective reviews,leading to the construction of comprehensive nomograms for outcome *** validated by future prospective studies,these nomograms would prove highly applicable in guiding the selection of treatment for superficial EScc.

Nano-engineered catalysts for high-performance oxygen reduction reaction

The efficient energy conversion of fuel cells is greatly constrained by the slow oxygen reduction reac tion （ORR） kinetics,which necessitates the use of highly active metal catalysts such as platinum （Pt）.The critical challenge limiting large-scale usage of Pt is the capital cost that can be addressed through a pro totypical approach by embedding metal nanoparticles （NPs）,e.g.,Pt NPs,in the conductive framework However,previously reported embedding approaches are sophisticated and suffer from limited yields leading to higher chemical process costs and remaining distant from commercial ***,we re port a facile,cost-effective and time-efficient structural tuning approach to synthesizing ultrafine Pt NP impregnated within a conductive and highly porous carbon framework via a microwave-assisted polyo reduction *** NPs with a uniform size of～2.27 nm can be successfully integrated within the pore of the carbon framework,enabling homogeneous *** from these highly dispersed and ultrafine Pt NPs,the electrochemical surface area （EcSA） is improved to 142.98 m2/gPt,2.25 times highe than that of the commercial counterpart (63.52 m2/gPt).Furthermore,our structurally optimized catalys composite features a remarkably catalytic activity with a high half-wave potential (E1/2) of 0.895 V and an improved mass activity （MA） of 0.2289 A/mgPt,2.39-fold improvement compared to the commercia *** addition,orthogonal experiments were designed to identify the key process parameter for fabricating Pt/c catalysts,offering insights for scaled-up and industrial production.

Mineralogy and whole-rock geochemistry of the Oligocene Barail Group of rocks of Belt of Schuppen,Northeast India:Implications for tectono-provenance and paleo-weathering

The petrographic and geochemical attributes of the Oligocene Barail Group of rocks are used to decipher the likely source area(s)or tectonic domains,as this sequence of rocks was deposited in a foreland basin governed by orogenic domain,namely the North-east Arunachal *** river system that gave rise to the Brahmaputra River(Yarlung-Tsangpo),which flowed through several tectonic domains of the Himalayan ranges,primarily from Bomichayu,Gangadese Granitoid,Higher Himalayan Leucogranites,and Namche Barwa into the proto Bengal Basin now a part of Assam Arakan Basin and Naga Schuppen Belt,was the main source of the sandstone formation of the Barail *** purpose of sandstone petrography,which combines modal analysis with XRF(Major Oxides)and HR-IcPMS(Trace&Rare Earth Elements)research,is to identify the type of source rock(s),their weathering pattern,and its paleo-environmental *** sandstones were formed from recycled orogen and include lithic and sublithic arenite variants with advanced texture and chemical *** sediments were felsic(Th/co:1.38,cr/Th:9.78,La/Lu:11.58,Th/Sc:0.99,Eu/Eu*:0.66,La/Sc:3.05,La/co:4.18),with contributions from intermediate source rocks and low-rank metamorphics deposited in an active continental margin to a continental island arc *** conditions impacted the sediments of Barails,characterised by being warm and semi-humid to humid which resulted in moderate to a high degree of chemical weathering,as shown by weathering indices like cIA(79.14),PIA(85.47),cIW(86.9),WIP(32.50),IcV(0.71),and Th/U(6.03),which were further additionally supported by c-Value(1.01),PF(1.20),Sr/cu(2.04),and Rb/Sr(0.97).
