Purpose:The present work examines the associations of dietary habits,sedentarism,physical activity(PA)levels and sleep habits,with thyroid function in young euthyroid ***:A total of 105 young euthyroid adults participated in this cross-sectional *** function was determined in fasting conditions(>6 h).Dietary habits were measured by a food frequency questionnaire and three non-consecutive 24 h recalls,and different dietary intake and patterns were then *** time spent in sedentary,PA levels and sleep habits were objectively measured using a wrist-worn ***:Energy and carbohydrate intake were positively associated with thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)(β=0.222;R^(2)=0.102;P=0.022 andβ=0.425;R^(2)=0.129;P=0.007,respectively)whereas fat intake was negatively associated with TSH(β=-0.428;R^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).Energy intake was also positively associated with free triiodothyronine(β=0.277;R^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).Further,adherence to the Mediterranean diet was negatively related to TSH and free thyroxine(FT4)(β=-0.221;R^(2)=0.113;P=0.020 andβ=-0.268;R^(2)=0.071;P=0.007,respectively).Vigorous-intensity and overall PA were negatively associated with FT4(β=-0.227;R^(2)=0.052;P=0.022 andβ=-0.204;R^(2)=0.042;P=0.041,respectively).In contrast,no associations were found between sleep parameters and thyroid ***:Lifestyle factors such as dietary intake and PA levels seems to be related to thyroid function even in young euthyroid adults.

Various methods and specialized software programs are available for processing two- dimensional gel electrophoresis （2-DGE） images. However, due to the anomalies present in these images, a reliable, automated, and highly reproducible system for 2-DGE image analysis has still not been achieved. The most common anomalies found in 2-DGE images include vertical and hor- izontal streaking, fuzzy spots, and background noise, which greatly complicate computational anal- ysis. In this paper, we review the preprocessing techniques applied to 2-DGE images for noise reduction, intensity normalization, and background correction. We also present a quantitative comparison of non-linear filtering techniques applied to synthetic gel images, through analyzing the performance of the filters under specific conditions. Synthetic proteins were modeled into a two-dimensional Gaussian distribution with adjustable parameters for changing the size, intensity, and degradation. Three types of noise were added to the images： Gaussian, Rayleigh, and exponen- tial, with signal-to-noise ratios （SNRs） ranging 8-20 decibels （dB）. We compared the performanceof wavelet, contourlet, total variation （TV）, and wavelet-total variation （WTTV） techniques using parameters SNR and spot efficiency. In terms of spot efficiency, contourlet and TV were more sen- sitive to noise than wavelet and WTTV. Wavelet worked the best for images with SNR ranging 10- 20 dB, whereas WTTV performed better with high noise levels. Wavelet also presented the best per- formance with any level of Gaussian noise and low levels （20-14 dB） of Rayleigh and exponential noise in terms of SNR. Finally, the performance of the non-linear filtering techniques was evaluated using a real 2-DGE image with previously identified proteins marked. Wavelet achieved the best detection rate for the real image.

Insulin,a key pleiotropic hormone,regulates metabolism through several signaling pathways in target tissues including skeletal muscle,liver,and *** the brain,insulin modulates learning and memory,and impaired insulin signaling is associated with metabolic dysregulation and neurodegenerative *** the receptor level,in aging and Alzheimer’s disease(AD)models,the amount of insulin receptors and their functions are *** and animal model studies suggest that memory improvements are due to changes in insulin ***,diabetes mellitus(DM)and insulin resistance are associated with age-related cognitive decline,increased levels ofβ-amyloid peptide,phosphorylation of tau protein;oxidative stress,pro-inflammatory cytokine production and dyslipidemia. Recent evidence shows that deleting brain insulin receptors leads to mildobesity and insulin resistance without influencing brain size and apoptosis ***, deleting insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) affects brain size anddevelopment, and contributes to behavior changes. Insulin is synthesized locally in the brain andis released from the neurons. Here, we reviewed proposed pathophysiological hypotheses toexplain increased risk of dementia in the presence of DM. Regardless of the exact sequence ofevents leading to neurodegeneration, there is strong evidence that mitochondrial dysfunctionplays a key role in AD and DM. A triple transgenic mouse model of AD showed mitochondrialdysfunction, oxidative stress, and loss of synaptic integrity. These alterations are comparable tothose induced in wild-type mice treated with sucrose, which is consistent with the proposal thatmitochondrial alterations are associated with DM and contribute to AD development. Alterationsin insulin/IGF-1 signaling in DM could lead to mitochondrial dysfunction and low antioxidantcapacity of the cell. To provide faster access to the treatment of patients,healthcare system can be integrated with Internet of Things to provide prior and timely health services to the *** is a huge limitation in the sensing layer as the IoT devices here have low computational power,limited storage and less battery ***,this huge amount of data needs to be stored on the *** information and the data sensed by these devices is made accessible on the internet from where medical staff,doctors,relatives and family members can access this *** helps in improving the treatment as well as getting faster medical assistance,tracking of routine activities and health focus of elderly people on frequent ***,the data transmission from IoT devices to the cloud faces many security challenges and is vulnerable to different security and privacy threats during the transmission *** purpose of this research is to design a Certificateless Secured Signature Scheme that will provide a magnificent amount of security during the transmission of *** signature,that removes the intricate certificate management and key escrow problem,is one of the practical methods to provide data integrity and identity authentication for the *** result shows that the proposed scheme performs better than the existing certificateless signature schemes in terms of computational cost,encryption and decryption *** scheme is the best combination of high security and cost efficiency and is further suitable for the resource constrained IoT environment.

Wearable monitoring devices are in demand in recent times for monitoring daily activities including ***,it is widely utilizing for preventing injuries of athletes during a practice session and in few cases,it leads to muscle *** present,emerging technology like the internet of things(IoT)and sensors is empowering to monitor and visualize the physical data from any remote location through internet *** this study,an IoT-enabled wearable device is proposing for monitoring and identifying the muscle fatigue condition using a surface electromyogram(sEMG)***,the EMG signal is utilized to display muscle *** controller,Wi-Fi module,and EMG sensor are utilized in developing the wearable *** Time-frequency domain spectrum technique is employed for classifying the threemuscle fatigue conditions including meanRMS,mean frequency,etc.A real-time experiment is realized on six different individuals with developed wearable devices and the average RMS value assists to determine the average threshold of recorded *** threshold level is analyzed by calculating the mean RMS value and concluded three fatigue conditions as>2V:Extensive);1–2V:Moderate,and<1V:*** warning alarm system was designed in LabVIEW with three color LEDs to indicate the different states of muscle ***,the device is interfaced with the cloud through the internet provided with a Wi-Fi module embedded in wearable *** data available in the cloud server can be utilized for forecasting the frequency of an individual to muscle fatigue.
