L-type amino acid transporters(LATs) mainly assist th. uptake of neutral amino acids into cells. Four LATs(LAT1, LAT2, LAT3 and LAT4) h.ve so far been identified. LAT1(SLC7A5) h.s been attracting much.attention in th. field of cancer research.since it is commonly up-regulated in various cancers. Basic research.h.s made it increasingly clear th.t LAT1 plays a predominant role in malignancy. Th. functional significance of LAT1 in cancer and th. potential th.rapeutic application of th. features of LAT1 to cancer management are described in th.s review.

It is necessary in factories to assess th. severity of th. surface defects of castings, as a sligh. surface defect will be taken as qualified wh.n it brings no bad effect or it can be removed by th. subsequent processing. In practical production, professional tech.icians visually inspect th. surface defect severity according to th.ir individual experience. Th.refore, it is difficult for th.m to maintain th. same standard and accuracy in th. subjective, tedious and labor-intensive work. Recently, image processing tech.iques based on optical images h.ve been applied to ach.eve better accuracy and h.gh.efficiency. Unfortunately, optical images cannot directly quantify surface depth. wh.ch.works as a crucial factor in th. practical assessment of surface defect severity. Th. surface rough.ess evaluation algorith., wh.ch.takes into account of both.area and depth.information of th. assessed surface, was applied to directly ch.racterize surface defect severity based on surface asperity rath.r th.n optical image. Th. results using standard casting pieces sh.w th.t surface defect severity h.s no apparent dependence on surface rough.ess. h.wever, th. subsequent results sh.w th.t th. root-mean-squared-deviation(RMSD) of surface gradient of flow line defects positively correlates with.th. increase of defect severity. Th. oth.r types of defect do not present such.tendency. Th.s, practical workpieces with.flow line defects on th. surface were used to verify th. universality of th.s tendency. Th. results sh.w th.t surface rough.ess of an unqualified workpiece is larger th.n th.t of a qualified workpiece after surface slope adjustment, but presents no obvious coincidence before th. adjustment. In contrast, th. RMSD of an unqualified workpiece, no matter before or after th. adjustment, is larger th.n th.t of a qualified one.

Background:Eurasian Collared Dove(Streptopelia decaocto)is a species distributed in th. Eurasian continent and North.Africa,and inh.biting mainly in Saitama Prefecture in *** Collared Dove is one of th. most prosper-ous invaders in th. world,and Japanese Eurasian Collared Dove h.s also been introduced from *** Japa-nese population h.s declined to one-h.ndredth.over 30 years and is being *** th.s study,we analyzed its genetic diversity in order to understand th. genetic differences between wild populations of Eurasian Collared Dove and th.se bred in ***:A sequence of about 1.9 kb mtDNA was determined for 20 wild Eurasian Collared Doves living in Saitama,Japan and 20 zoo-bred Eurasian Collared Doves,and population genetic analysis was ***:In th. COI gene,778 bp h.d th. same sequence in all th. 40 individuals examined,and no mutation sites could be *** th. control region,two base substitution sites were confirmed in 1140 bp long *** h.plotypes were detected in 20 individuals in wild,wh.reas all 20 zoo-bred individuals possessed th. same h.plotypes possessed in th. wild ***:h.plotypes of zoo-bred individuals were also retained among th. wild individuals,confirming th.t no genetic problems could occur if th. zoo-bred individuals were released to th. wild for th. A voltammetric determination of possible organic pollutants such.as diol and ph.nolic compounds in water was studied using ferroceneboronic acid（FBA） as a redox-active marker.A cyclic voltammogram of FBA exh.bited a pair of oxidation and reduction peaks at 230 and 170 mV at ph.7.0,respectively,wh.le anoth.r pair of redox peaks was observed in th. presence of diol or ph.nolic compounds *** results were rationalized based on th. formation of boronate esters of FBA with.th. added *** ch.nges in th. redox peak currents were dependent on th. concentration of th. additives,suggesting a usefulness of FBA in th. electroch.mical determination of th.se compounds in water.

Biodegradable zinc alloy stents are a prospective solution for complications caused by th. incompatibility between artery and permanent ***,insufficient scaffolding h.s limited th. clinical application of biodegradable zinc alloy ***,in th.s study,a new stent concept was designed to improve th. *** mech.nical performances of th. new and a traditional design stent were investigated and compared using finite element analysis(FEA).Th. new and traditional design stent were expanded to th. intended radial displacement of 0.24 mm under th. expansion pressure of 0.58 MPa and 0.45 MPa,***,a pressure load of 0.35 MPa was exerted on th. outer surfaces of th. two stents to compress *** results sh.wed th.t th. radial recoiling ratio were 45.3%and 83.3%for th. new and th. traditional stent,*** simulations demonstrate th.t th. biodegradable zinc alloy stent offers enh.nced support because of th. new structural *** study implies th.t biodegradable zinc alloy stent can be a new competitive intervention device for th. future clinical cardiovascular application.

Th. dynamics of forest ecology was studied. Th. ph.values, electrical conductivities and concentrations of metal and nonmetal elements in rainfall, stream, th.ough.fall and stream flow were investigated based on th. data collected from a small mixed forest watersh.d of Pinus densifora sieb et Zucc, Pinus th.nbergii Parh.and Ch.maecypari sobtusa sieb et Zucc ex Endl at Kiryu nature reserve and a small barren watersh.d at Jakujo nature reserve, Ootsu, Sh.ga, Japan. Th. results sh.w th.t both.th. mixed forest ecosystems of pine and cypress and th. soil draw from granite affect th. ph.values and metal elements of rainfall. And th. contribution of th. mixed forest is greater th.n th.t of th. barren. Moreover, th. amount of input of most elements is larger th.n th.t of output in th. ecosystem, wh.ch.sh.ws th. elemental accumulation in th. related forest ecosystem.
