摘 要: In an in vitro transcription system, the intact virion of rice ragged stunt virus (RRSV) coulddirect the synthesis of an acid-insoluble material. This indicated that the virus might contain RNA poly-merase activity, with an optimum range of activity at 30-40℃, maximal at 35℃. Divalent cationswere essential for the activity. Transcription products accumulated in the incubation period from 0 to4 h In addition, the polymerase activity declined if the virus was heat-shocked or treated with chy-motrypsin, which implied that no prior treatment was required to activate transcription catalyzed byRRSV.
