Crystalline-amorphous M@MN_x(M=Co,Fe,Ni)encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon for enhanced efficient and durable hydrogen evolution reaction

Developing earth-abundant electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is important for the sustainable energy ***,efficient and stable heterocatalysts consisting of crystalline-amorphous M@MN_(x)(M=Co,Fe,Ni)encapsulated in N-doped carbon layers supported with N-doped graphene sheets(denoted as M@MN_(x)@NC-NG)are synthesized by facile hydrothermal reaction and nitridation *** the nitriding process,metal ions in M(tzbc)_2(H_(2)O)_4(tzbc=4-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)benzoic acid)complexes are reduced to crystalline M cores,accompanied by the formation of amorphous MN_(x)shells;the tzbc ligands are insitu carbonized to form outermost N-doped carbon(NC)layers that connect with inner MN_(x)via M-N-C motifs inherited from the complex precursors and inhibit the transition of MN_(x)from amorphous to crystalline *** Co@CoN_(x)@NC-NG catalyst exhibits excellent HER activity with small overpotentials of 45 and 64 mV at a cathode current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)and low Tafel slopes of 40 and 85 mV·dec^(-1)in 0.5 mol·L^(-1)H_(2)SO_4 and1.0 mol·L^(-1)KOH electrolytes,*** Co@CoN_(x)@NC-NG retains 97%of the initial overpotential after 100,000 s in both acidic and alkaline *** outstanding HER performance originates from the crystalline-amorphous Co@CoN_(x)that redistributes electrons around the heterointerfaces,facilitating the conversion process of H^(+)/H_(2)O to hydrogen and thereby promoting HER *** outermost NC layers serve as the armor of Co@CoN_(x),and graphene nanosheets act as carriers of egg-like Co@CoN_(x)@NC and conduction paths for electron shuttles,ensuring stable and continuous electrocatalytic hydrogen production.

Immunoregulatory influence of Sargassum carpophyllum polyphenol on the allergic reactions induced by shrimp tropomyosin

Polyphenol is a kind of natural active substance with immunoregulatory activity. In this study， the immunoregulatory activities of Sargassum carpophyllum polyphenol (SCP) on the allergic reactions induced by shrimp tropomyosin were investigated. As the results， the SCP performed high hyaluronidase inhibition ability， which even greater than sodium chromoglycate (an anti-allergic medicine). SCP was able to affect the allergic reactions of RAW 264.7 macrophage cells via regulating the NF-κB， JNK1/2， Erk1/2 and p38 MAPK cellular signaling pathways， weakened the degranulation degree and secretion of IL-4， TNF-α and histamine， and promoted the secretion of IL-10 from RBL-2H3 mast cells. In BALB/c mouse model assay， after gavage of SCP， the mouse allergic symptoms got significantly alleviated， the cytokine (IL-4， IL-10 and IFN-γ) secretion of mouse spleen lymphocytes were significantly declined and the allergic lung damage was relieved， which indicated SCP performed strong both in vitro and in vivo anti-allergic functions. Therefore， SCP could serve as candidate anti-allergic bioactive substances for shrimp induced allergy via immunoregulation.

Three-dimensional(3D)hydrogel models play a crucial role in tissue engineering for promoting tissue regeneration.A biomimetic microchannel network system in the 3D hydrogel model is necessary for optimal cellular *** report describes the preparation of a biomimetic hydrogel scaffold with an internal microchannel network,using electrospinning techniques and the sacrificial template method for 3D cell *** and cavities were created within the gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)hydrogel by sacrificing polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)electrospun fibers(>10µm),resulting in the creation of microvessel-like *** characterizations,swelling properties,and biodegradation analysis were conducted to investigate the feasibility of a biomimetic microchannel network hydrogel scaffold for 3D cell culture *** to pure GelMA hydrogel,the hydrogel with microchannels promoted cell proliferation,adhesion,and endothelial tube ***,the results confirmed that the biomimetic microchannel network scaffold had a major impact on the distribution and arrangement of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)and can enable the formation of artificial microvasculature by the culture of HUVECs and cell media perfusion.

Hydrodynamic characteristics and particle tracking of 90° lateral intakes at an inclined river slope

Lateral intakes are common in *** pump effciency and sediment deposition are determined by the local hydrodynamic characteristics and mainstream division *** hydraulic characteristics of lateral withdrawal from inclined river slopes at different intake elevations should be ***,the division width exhibits significant vertical non-uniformity at an inclined river slope,which should be ***,a three-dimensional(3-D)hydrodynamic and particle-tracking model was developed with the Open Source Field Operation and Manipulation(Open FOAM),and the model was validated with physical model tests for 90°lateral withdrawal from an inclined side *** flow fields,withdrawal sources,and division widths were investigated with different intake bottom elevations,withdrawal discharges,and main channel *** study showed that under inclined side bank conditions,water entered the intake at an oblique angle,causing significant 3-D spiral flows in the intake rather than two-dimensional closed recirculation.A lower withdrawal discharge,a lower bottom elevation of the intake,or a higher main channel velocity could further strengthen this *** average division width and turbulent kinetic energy were smaller under inclined side bank conditions than under vertical bank *** a low intake bottom elevation,a low withdrawal discharge,or a high main channel velocity,the sources of lateral withdrawal were in similar ranges near the local inclined bank in the vertical *** inclined slope conditions,sediment deposition near the intake entrance could be reduced,compared to that under vertical slope *** results provide hydrodynamic and sediment references for engineering designs for natural rivers with inclined terrains.

Influences of clean fracturing fluid viscosity and horizontal in-situ stress difference on hydraulic fracture propagation and morphology in coal seam

The viscosity of fracturing fluid and in-situ stress difference are the two important factors that affect the hydraulic fracturing pressure and propagation morphology. In this study, raw coal was used to prepare coal samples for experiments, and clean fracturing fluid samples were prepared using CTAB surfactant. A series of hydraulic fracturing tests were conducted with an in-house developed triaxial hydraulic fracturing simulator and the fracturing process was monitored with an acoustic emission instrument to analyze the influences of fracturing fluid viscosity and horizontal in-situ stress difference on coal fracture propagation. The results show that the number of branched fractures decreased, the fracture pattern became simpler, the fractures width increased obviously, and the distribution of AE event points was concentrated with the increase of the fracturing fluid viscosity or the horizontal in-situ stress difference. The acoustic emission energy decreases with the increase of fracturing fluid viscosity and increases with the increase of horizontal in situ stress difference. The low viscosity clean fracturing fluid has strong elasticity and is easy to be compressed into the tip of fractures, resulting in complex fractures. The high viscosity clean fracturing fluids are the opposite. Our experimental results provide a reference and scientific basis for the design and optimization of field hydraulic fracturing parameters.

Achieving exceptionally high strength and rapid degradation rate of Mg-Er-Ni alloy by strengthening with lamellar γ' and bulk LPSO phases

As-extruded Mg-Er-Ni alloys with different volume fractions of long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)phase and density of lamellar γ' phase were prepared,and the microstructure,mechanical,and degradation properties were *** the bulk LPSO phase and the lamellar γ' phase,and controlling the dynamic recrystallization processes during deformation by adjusting the volume fraction of LPSO and the density of the γ' phase,a synergistic increase in strength and degradation rate can be *** the one hand,the increase in corrosion rate was related to the increased volume fraction of the bulk LPSO phase and the densities of the lamellar γ' phase,which provide more galvanic ***,high densities of the lamellar γ' phase can provide more corrosion interface by inhibiting the recrystallization process to refine dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains during the hot *** the other hand,the ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and tensile yield strength(TYS)of the Mg-Er-Ni alloy increased from 345 and 265 MPa to 514 MPa and 358 MPa,respectively,which was mainly attributed to grain boundary and texture strengthening,bulk LPSO phase and lamellar γ' phase ***,Mg^(-1)4Er-4Ni alloy,which contains the highest volume fraction bulk LPSO phase and the densities of lamellar γ' phase,re-alized a synergistic enhancement of strength and degradation *** UTS,TYS,and degradation rate of Mg^(-1)4Er-4Ni were 514 MPa,358 MPa,and 142.5 mg cm^(-2)h^(-1)(3 wt%KCl solution at 93◦C),*** research provides new insight into developing Mg alloys with high strength and degradation rates for fracturing tool materials in the application of oil and gas exploitation in harsh environments.

Separation identification of a neural fuzzy Wiener–Hammerstein system using hybrid signals

A novel separation identification strategy for the neural fuzzy Wiener–Hammerstein system using hybrid signals is developed in this *** Wiener–Hammerstein system is described by a model consisting of two linear dynamic elements with a nonlinear static element in *** static nonlinear element is modeled by a neural fuzzy network(NFN)and the two linear dynamic elements are modeled by an autoregressive exogenous(ARX)model and an autoregressive(AR)model,*** the system input is Gaussian signals,the correlation technique is used to decouple the identification of the two linear dynamic elements from the nonlinear ***,based on the input and output of Gaussian signals,the correlation analysis technique is used to identify the input linear element and output linear element,which addresses the problem that the intermediate variable information cannot be measured in the identified Wiener–Hammerstein ***,a zero-pole match method is adopted to separate the parameters of the two linear ***,the recursive least-squares technique is used to identify the nonlinear element based on the input and output of random signals,which avoids the impact of output *** feasibility of the presented identification technique is demonstrated by an illustrative simulation example and a practical nonlinear *** results show that the proposed strategy can obtain higher identification precision than existing identification algorithms.

As modern communication technology advances apace,the digital communication signals identification plays an important role in cognitive radio networks,the communication monitoring and management *** has become a promising solution to this problem due to its powerful modeling capability,which has become a consensus in academia and ***,because of the data-dependence and inexplicability of AI models and the openness of electromagnetic space,the physical layer digital communication signals identification model is threatened by adversarial *** examples pose a common threat to AI models,where well-designed and slight perturbations added to input data can cause wrong ***,the security of AI models for the digital communication signals identification is the premise of its efficient and credible *** this paper,we first launch adversarial attacks on the end-to-end AI model for automatic modulation classifi-cation,and then we explain and present three defense mechanisms based on the adversarial *** we present more detailed adversarial indicators to evaluate attack and defense ***,a demonstration verification system is developed to show that the adversarial attack is a real threat to the digital communication signals identification model,which should be paid more attention in future research.

Selective immobilization of Pb(Ⅱ)by biogenic whewellite and its mechanism

The development of bio-adsorbents with highly selective immobilization properties for specific heavy metals is a great challenge,but has important application *** whewellite(BW)with high selectivity for Pb(Ⅱ)was synthesized by mineral microbial *** selective immobilization properties and mechanism of BW for Pb(Ⅱ)were analyzed by combining mineral characterization technology and batch adsorption research *** results indicated that BW can efficiently and selectively immobilize Pb(Ⅱ)in single or composite heavy metal adsorption solutions,and the immobilized Pb(Ⅱ)is difficult to *** undergoes monolayer adsorption on Pb(Ⅱ),Qmax≈1073.17 mg/*** immobilization of Pb(Ⅱ)by BW is a physico-chemical adsorption process with spontaneous heat absorption and an accompanying increase in *** addition,the sequestration of Pb(Ⅱ)by BW remains around 756.99 mg/g even at p H=*** excellent selective immobilization properties of BW for Pb(Ⅱ)are closely related to its smaller Ksp,electrostatic repulsion effect,organic-inorganic composite structure,acid resistance and the formation of Pb(Ⅱ)*** study provides beneficial information about the recycling of lead in acidic lead-containing wastewater and composite heavy metal contaminated water bodies.
