Comparison of Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction with Simultaneous Steam Distillation Extraction for the Analysis of the Volatile Constituents in Chinese Apricot

Volatile constituents in fully mature fruits of apricot （Prunus armeniaca L.） cultivar Xinshiji were extracted using headspace solid-phase microextraction （HS-SPME） and simultaneous steam distillation extraction （SSDE） and then analyzed using capillary gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. A total of 70 components were identified by HSSPME, including 20 esters, 19 hydrocarbons, 5 alcohols, 5 ketones, 4 acids, 4 lactones, 3 aldehydes, and 10 miscellaneous components, with the esters being the dominant constituent. On the basis of the odor unit values, it is believed that the following compounds probably contributed to the fresh apricot odor： hexyl acetate, β-ionone, butyl acetate, （E）-2-hexenal, linalool, limonene, γ-decalactone, and hexanal. A total of 49 components were also detected by SSDE, including 13 hydrocarbons, 9 alcohols, 7 aldehydes, 9 esters, 4 ketones, 4 lactones, 2 acids, and 1 miscellaneous component, of which the monoterpene alcohols were the dominant constituents. It could be judged from the odor unit values that the following compounds were the major contributors to boiled apricot aroma： β-ionone, linalool, hexyl acetate, γ-dodecalactone, γ- decalactone, （E）-2-hexenal, hexanal, γ-octalactone, phenylacetaldehyde, butyl acetate, limonene, α-terpineol, and δ-decalactone. The results show that HS-SPME is a simple, rapid, and solvent-free method, which is an alternative to the classical SSDE.

Nitric oxide(NO)has emerged as a potential wound therapeutic agent due to its pivotal role in the wound healing ***,NO-based therapy for clinical applications is still restricted due to its gaseous state and short *** we exploited a wound dressing by incorporating sodium nitroprusside doped prussian blue nanoparticals and Type I collagen into the chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol)nanofibers through the electrospinning *** hybrid nanofibrous scaffold possess the excellent abilities of NIR controlled NO release,photothermal therapy,and imitation of extra-cellular matrix-like *** synergistic effects could enhance their anti-bactericidal effects in vitro and furthermore accelerate wound healing in vivo when compared to control *** analysis demonstrated the scaffold could promote fibroblast growth and accelerate ***,no apparent histological toxicology and negligible damage to major organs were observed,which provided sufficient biosafety for in vivo *** data indicate the fabricated hybrid nanofibrous scaffold could be used as an ideal candidate for accelerating wound healing and treating chronic wounds.

A novel Ca(Ⅱ) coordination polymer,[Ca L_(2)(H_(2)O)_(2)]_(n) (1,HL=4-acetylphenoxyacetic acid) has been synthesized with 4-acetylphenoxyacetic acid,Ca(ClO_4)_(2)·4H_(2)O and Na OH as raw *** 1 was characterized by elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** results show that the Ca(Ⅱ)ion is eight-coordinated in a distorted triangular dodecahedral geometric configuration with six carboxylate Oatoms of four L ligands and two O atoms of two coordinated water *** 1 forms a one-dimensional chained structure by the bridging effect of carboxylate O *** antitumor activity of HLligand and complex 1 has also been investigated.

Bud dormancy is a complex physiological process of perennial woody plants living in temperate regions,and it can be affected by various *** oxidase/dehydrogenases(CKXs)are a group of enzymes essential for maintaining cytokinin homeostasis,yet a comprehensive analysis of these enzymes in peach remains ***,a total of 51 CKX members from different species,including six from peach,eleven from apple,nine from poplar,seven from Arabidopsis,eight from strawberry,and ten from rice,were identified using the Simple HMM Search tool of TBtools and a BLASTP program and classified into four groups using phylogenetic *** motif and gene structure analysis of these 51 CKX members showed that 10 conserved motifs were identified,and each CKX gene contained at least two ***-element analysis of PpCKXs showed that all PpCKX genes have light-responsive elements and at least one hormone-responsive *** changed relative expression levels of six PpCKX genes in peach buds from endodormancy to bud-break were observed by *** them,the expression trend of PpCKX6 was almost opposite that of PpEBB1,a positive bud-break regulator in woody plants,around the bud-break stage.Y1H,EMSA,and dual-luciferase assays indicated that PpEBB1negatively regulated PpCKX6 through direct binding to a GCC box-like element located in the promoter region of *** addition,a transient assay showed that overexpression of PpCKX6 delayed the bud-break of *** results indicate that the PpCKX genes play an essential role in the dormancy-regrowth process,and Pp CKX6may act downstream of PpEBB1 directly to regulate the bud-break process,which further improves the hormoneregulatory network of dormancy-regrowth of woody plants,and provides new insights for molecular breeding and genetic engineering of peach.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Antitumor Activity of a Na(Ⅰ) Coordination Polymer Based on 2-Propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic Acid and 1,10-Phenanthroline Ligands

A new Na(I) coordination polymer,[Na2(Hpimdc)(H2 pimdc)(phen)2]n(1), has been synthesized by the reaction of NaOH with 2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic acid(H3 pimdc)and 1,10-phenanthroline(phen). The Na(I) coordination polymer 1 was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and elemental analysis. In 1, the bridged ligand H3 pimdc adopts two modes(singly deprotonated and doubly deprotonated) to coordinate with the Na(I) *** Na(1) ion is six-coordinated with three N atoms from a phen ligand and a H2 pimdc ligand,three O atoms from a Hpimdc ligand and two other different H2 pimdc ligands. The Na(2) ion is also six-coordinated with three N atoms from a phen ligand and a Hpimdc ligand, three O atoms from a H2 pimdc ligand and other two different Hpimdc ligands. Complex 1 exhibits a 1 D chain structure built up by μ-H2 pimdc-and μ-Hpimdc2-ligands. The antitumor activities of complex 1 against human SGC7901, A549 and H08910 cells have been tested.

Cloning, Expression and Activity Analysis of a Novel Fibrinolytic Serine Protease from Arenicola cristata

The full-length c DNA of a protease gene from a marine annelid Arenicola cristata was amplified through rapid amplification of c DNA ends technique and sequenced. The size of the c DNA was 936 bp in length, including an open reading frame encoding a polypeptide of 270 amino acid residues. The deduced amino acid sequnce consisted of pro- and mature sequences. The protease belonged to the serine protease family because it contained the highly conserved sequence GDSGGP. This protease was novel as it showed a low amino acid sequence similarity(< 40%) to other serine proteases. The gene encoding the active form of A. cristata serine protease was cloned and expressed in E. coli. Purified recombinant protease in a supernatant could dissolve an artificial fibrin plate with plasminogen-rich fibrin, whereas the plasminogen-free fibrin showed no clear zone caused by hydrolysis. This result suggested that the recombinant protease showed an indirect fibrinolytic activity of dissolving fibrin, and was probably a plasminogen activator. A rat model with venous thrombosis was established to demonstrate that the recombinant protease could also hydrolyze blood clot in vivo. Therefore, this recombinant protease may be used as a thrombolytic agent for thrombosis treatment. To our knowledge, this study is the first of reporting the fibrinolytic serine protease gene in A. cristata.

Relative carrier-envelope phase dependence of resonant propagation of two-colour femtosecond pulses in V-type atomic medium

Using numerical solution of the full Maxwell-Bloch equations, which is obtained by the finite-difference time-domain method and the iterative predictor-orrector method, we investigate the modulation effect of relative carrierenvelope phase （hereinafter referred to as the relative phase） on resonant propagation of two-colour femtosecond ultrashort laser pulses in a V-type three-level atomic medium. It is found that the pulse splitting occurs for a smaller value of relative phase; when the value of relative phase increases to a certain value, only the variation of pulse shape is present and the pulse splitting does not occur any more; moreover, when the value of relative phase is smaller, the pulse group velocity is larger. The relative phase also has an obvious effect on population and spectral property. Different population transfers can be realized by adjusting the value of relative phase. Generally speaking, for the pulses with smaller areas their spectral strengths and frequency ranges decrease obviously with the value of relative phase increasing; for the pulses with larger areas, with value of the relative phase increasing, their spectral strengths decrease remarkably but the relative strengths of the higher frequency components increase significantly, while the spectral frequency range is not varied evidently.

A nanosystem of copper(II)-disulfiram for cancer treatment with high efficacy and few side effects

Developing chemotherapy drugs with high efficacy and few side effects has been a bottleneck problem that requires an efficient *** active cancer treatment ingredient disulfiram(DSF),inspired by the copper(II)diethyldithiocarbamate complex(CuET),can be used in a one-pot synthesis method to construct a CuET delivery nanosystem(CuET-ZIFCu@HA).Due to the high biocompatibility,targeting of CD44 overexpressed cancer cells,and acid response of zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)materials of hyaluronic acid(HA),we realized that CuET-ZIFCu@HA could become an effective and highly selective cancer *** in vivo and in vitro experiments have demonstrated that CuET-ZIFCu@HA has robust anti-tumor properties without evident side *** research provided a promising strategy for DSF nanosystems that involves simple preparation and high efficacy,both of which are key to reusing DSF in cancer treatment.

Exploring Artistic Embeddings in Service Design:A Keyword-Driven Approach for Artwork Search and Recommendations

As living standards improve,the demand for artworks has been escalating,transcending beyond the realm of mere basic human ***,amidst an extensive array of artwork choices,users often struggle to swiftly and accurately identify their preferred *** such scenarios,a recommendation system can be invaluable,assisting users in promptly pinpointing the desired artworks for better service *** the escalating demand for artwork recommendation systems,current research fails to adequately meet these ***,existing artwork recommendation methodologies tend to disregard users’implicit interests,thereby overestimating their capability to articulate their preferences in full and often neglecting the nuances of their diverse *** response to these challenges,we have developed a weighted artwork correlation graph and put forth an embedding-based keyword-driven artwork search and recommendation *** approach transforms the keywords that delineate user interests into word embedding *** allows for an effective distinction between the user’s core and peripheral ***,we employ a dynamic programming algorithm to extract artworks from the correlation graph,thereby obtaining artworks that align with the user’s explicit keywords and implicit *** have conducted an array of experiments using real-world datasets to validate our *** results attest to the superiority of our method in terms of its efficacy in searching and recommending artworks.
