Cardiovascular diseases are affected by multiple factors like genetic as well as environmental hence they reveal factorial nature. The evidences that genetic factors are susceptible for developing cardiovascular diseases come from twin studies and familial aggregation. Different ethnic populations reveal differences in the prevalence coronary artery disease(CAD) pointing towards the genetic susceptibility. With progression in molecular techniques different developments have been made to comprehend the disease physiology. Molecular markers have also assisted to recognize genes that may provide evidences to evaluate the role of genetic factors in causation of susceptibility towards CAD. Numerous studies suggest the contribution of specific "candidate genes", which correlate with various roles/pathways that are involved in the coronary heart disease. Different studies have revealed that there are large numbers of genes which are involved towards the predisposition of CAD. However, these reports are not consistent. One of the reasons could be weak contribution of genetic susceptibility of these genes. Genome wide associations show different chromosomal locations which dock, earlier unknown, genes which may attribute to CAD. In the present review different ApoAI-CⅡI-AIV gene clusters have been discussed.

BACKGROUND A diverse country like India may have variable intensive care units(ICUs)practices at state and city *** To gain insight into clinical services and processes of care in ICUs in India,this would help plan for potential educational and quality improvement *** The Indian ICU needs assessment research group of diverse-skilled individuals was formed.A pan-India survey"Indian National ICU Needs"assessment(ININ 2018-I)was designed on google forms and deployed from July 23rd-August 25th,*** survey was sent to select distribution lists of ICU providers from all 29 states and 7 union territories(UTs).In addition to emails and phone calls,social medial applications-WhatsApp™,Facebook™and LinkedIn™were used to remind and motivate *** completing and submitting the survey,providers gave their consent for research *** study was deemed eligible for category-2 Institutional Review Board exempt *** There were total 134 adult/adult-pediatrics ICU responses from 24(83%out of 29)states,and two(28%out of 7)UTs in 61 *** had median(IQR)16(10-25)beds and most,were mixed medical-surgical,111(83%),with 108(81%)being adult-only *** responders were young,median(IQR),38(32-44)years age and majority,n=108(81%)were *** consultants were,n=101(75%).A total of 77(57%)reported to have 24 h in-house intensivist.A total of 68(51%)ICUs reported to have either 2:1 or 2≥:1 patient:nurse *** than 80%of the ICUs were open,and mixed *** followed regularly by the ICUs included sepsis care,ventilator-associated pneumonia(83%each);nutrition(82%),deep vein thrombosis prophylaxis(87%),stress ulcer prophylaxis(88%)and glycemic control(92%).Digital infrastructure was found to be poor,with only 46%of the ICUs reporting high-speed internet *** In this large,national,semi-structured,need-assessment survey,the need for improved manpower including;in-house intensivists,and decreasing

BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stromal cell(MSC)-based cellular therapy promotes type I collagen production,enhance mechanical strength of tissues,and enhance biology at the bone-tendon interface,which primarily explains their potential clinical utility in rotator cuff(RC)*** To analyze the efficacy and safety of cellular therapy utilizing MSCs in the management of RC tears from clinical studies available in the *** We conducted independent and duplicate electronic database searches including PubMed,Embase,Reference Citation Anallysis,Web of Science,and Cochrane Library in August 2021 for studies analyzing the efficacy and safety of cellular therapy(CT)utilizing MSCs in the management of RC *** Analog Score(VAS)score for pain,American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons(ASES)score,Disability of the Arm,Shoulder,and Hand score,Constant score,radiological assessment of healing,and complications such as retear rate and adverse events were the outcomes *** was performed in R-platform using OpenMeta[Analyst]*** Six studies involving 238 patients were included for *** noted a significant reduction in VAS score for pain at 3 mo(weighed mean difference[WMD]=-2.234,P<0.001)and 6 mo(WMD=-3.078,P<0.001)with the use of CT,which was not maintained at long-term follow-up(WMD=-0.749,P=0.544).Concerning functional outcomes,utilization of CT produced a significant shortterm improvement in the ASES score(WMD=17.090,P<0.001)and significant benefit in functional scores such as Constant score(WMD=0.833,P=0.760)at long-term ***,we also observed significantly improved radiological tendon healing during the longterm follow-up(odds ratio[OR]=3.252,P=0.059).We also noted a significant reduction in the retear rate upon utilization of CT in RC tears both at short-(OR=0.079,P=0.032)and long-term(OR=0.434,P=0.027)*** did not observe any significant increase in the adverse events directly related to cellular therapy,as comp

Micropropagation of Psidium guajava L. (guava) is a viable alternative to currently adopted techniques for large-scale plant propagation of commercial cultivars. Assessment of clonal fidelity in micropropagated plants is the first step towards ensuring genetic uniformity in mass production of planting material. In the present study, 31 plants of guava cultivar “lucknow 49” regenerated by micropropagation were tested for genetic fidelity by comparing them to the mother plant from which explant material was obtained. Efficient rooting of in vitro proliferated shoots was obtained by culture on 1/2 strength MS medium supplemented with either 9.8 μM indole butyric acid (IBA) or 11.4 μM indole acetic acid (IAA). Leaf samples of 31 regenerated plants were compared to the mother plant using 17 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. While 16 SSRs detected the same allele, locus mPgCIR07 detected slight differences, where six micropropagated plants were 1 bp smaller (152 bp) than the parental genotype (153 bp). Differences in leaf tissues for anthocyanin pigmentation were also noted among micropropagated plants. Results of the study indicated efficient rooting of “lucknow-49” cultivar for rapid propagation of planting material, and revealed that micropropagated plants were identical for 16 of the 17 loci examined. Although most mutations induced by tissue culture may not have an effect on phenotype, the possibility that novel phenotypes can be generated in a commercial setting exists.
