The paper will examine the creative thinking behind a small series of landscape installations that feature multiples of a "found sculpture";the bricolage making process and refer to the history of the industrial manufacture of multiple interchangeable parts. The purchase of a number of kit form model dogs (i.e. found sculpture) through an internet auction house will investigate trust and how trust is implicit to human exchange. The paper will also make reference to the emotional and historical links between dogs and human society;dogs’ biological development and coexistent changes in human appearance and behavior.

In this paper is a description of the thinking and technical processes that informed the making of a small series of drawings. It will place the work within the traditions and values of contemporary painting, and explain the emotional and aesthetic issues that upheld the making of the work. A main consideration was to make subjective work that deals with memory and association and that exploits the visual languages established in the early part of the twentieth century (assemblage, collage and montage). The works were initiated the work by referring to Diego Velázquez painting Las Melinas (maid of honour) of the Spanish royal family;in particular the relationship of scale between The Infanta Dona Margarita and the unedifying appearance of her German attendant Maribarbola.

I will examine the cultural,social and educational values that informed the content of the brief and the personal motivations that lay behind its construction. Also I will look at the period of post war Britain and America,a period that significantly influenced my creative expression.I will make a case for the value of collage and mark making as exemplified by the Expressionists as an apposite skill for fashion students to acquire.

Created in 1997, shih chien university’s School of Design has established itself as a unique environment of learning in Taiwan. This paper will review its pedagogy, by discussing the decade long experiment at the freshmen foundation studio in its department of Communications Design. The core course is conceived on the belief that values of design and aesthetics created in the West cannot be directly transplanted into the context of Taiwan. Instead, a framework of open dialogue is created to allow multiple sets of values to co-exist. Students are pushed to the limits of their abilities in a seemingly chaotic but dynamic environment. In the grueling process, students are stripped of their pre-existing habits and boundaries and gained a new understanding of themselves as creative individuals. This system of training young talents has evolved into what is now called the spiritual approach. It will be discussed in terms of its ideological background, challenges, solutions and an attempt to assess its results.

In this paper I examine the personal creative route that I took to establish a body of work（5 large drawings） that was inspired from a visit to Korea.I focus on my motivations with regard to this *** major considerations were my wish to employ drawing as a primary research tool;that the works would be highly subjective pieces dealing with memory and associations and that they would directly refer to the development of visual languages established in early part of the 20th century（collage and montage）.I will seek to place the work recognizably within the traditions and values of contemporary painting and offer an understanding of the emotional and aesthetic issues that drove the making of the work.I will attempt to describe a personal mythology centered upon virtue and democracy that informs the work.I will lodge a case for drawing and the tuition of drawing as a necessary part of students’ education.

Petrogenesis of Cenozoic Basaltic Rocks from Jiangsu Province,China:Evidence from Geochemical Constraints

Cenozoic （Miocene to Pleistocene） basaltic rocks in Jiangsu province of eastern China include olivine tholeiite and alkali basalt. We present major, trace element and Sr-Nd isotopic data as well as Ar-Ar dating of these basalts to discuss the petrogenesis of the basalts and identify the geological processes beneath the study area. On the basis of chemical compisitions and Ar-Ar dating of Cenonoic basaltic rocks from Jiangsu province, we suggest that these basalts may belong to the same magmatic system. The alkali basalts found in Jiangsu province have higher ~FeO, MgO, CaO, Na20, TiO2 and P205 and incompatible elements, but lower A1203 and compatible elements contents than olivine tholeiite which may be caused by fractional crystallization of olivine, pyroxene and minor plagioclase. In Jiangsu basaltic rocks the incompatible elements increase with decreasing MgO/~FeO ratios. The primitive mantle-normalized incompatible elements and chondrite-normalized REE patterns of basaltic rocks found in Jiangsu province are similar to those of OIB. Partial loss of the mantle lithosphere accompanied by rising of asthenospheric mantle may accelerate the generation of the basaltic magma. The 143Nd/144Nd vs. S7Sr/S6Sr plot indicates a mixing of a depleted asthenospheric mantle source and an EM1 component in the study area. According to Shaw＇s equation, the basalts from Jiangsu province may be formed by 1%-5% partial melting of a depleted asthenospheric mantle source. On the basis of Ar-Ar ages of this study and the fractional crystallization model proposed by Brooks and Nielsen （1982）, we suggest that basalts from Jiangsu province may belong to a magmatic system with JF-2 as the primitive magma which has undergone fractional crystallization and evolved progressively to produce other types of basalts.

A STUDY ON FACTORS FOR RETAILERS IMPLEMENTING CPFR-A FUZZY AHP ANALYSIS

Since collaborative, planning, forecasting, and replenishment （CPFR） was first proposed in 1998, numerous studies have focused on exploring its implementation in retailing contexts. While a considerable body of research has emphasized reduced costs, increased sales and improved forecasting ability, there has been a lack of research on the importance of each of the various factors which affect such implementations. In order to find out the critical success factors affecting CPFR implementation, this paper first collected related influence factors regarding adopting CPFR or business to business （B2B） information systems, and further constructed a factor table with a three-layer hierarchical structure. A pair wise analytic hierarchy process （AHP） questionnaire was designed and distributed to experts who were familiar with implementing CPFR in the retailing industry. After questionnaires were returned, we found out the weights of each impact factor by using a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process （fuzzy AHP） approach. The importance of each critical impact factor was investigated, and the paths of the critical success factors were also analyzed. The results of this study can provide more precise information with regard to allocating optimal resources for retailers implementing CPFR.

Poly（trimethyleneterephthalate）（PTT）/styrene-ethylene-buthylene-styrene（SEBS）composites were prepared by melt *** opticalmicroscopy was used to observe the spherulitic morphology and the crystalstructure of PTT and PTT/SEBS *** electron microscopy was used to determine the dispersion and the compatibility of fracture surfaces of PTT and *** curves of thermalgravimetric analysis illustrated that the thermo stability decreased with increasing SEBS *** calorimetry was used to investigate the crystallization behavior;and the result showed that the glass transition temperature of the compound increased with the SEBS *** Avramiequation described the isothermalcrystallization ***-strain curves for PTT and PTT/SEBS composites showed that the elongation at break was enhanced with increasing SEBS content.

Cultural landscape is often the site of unresolved cultural differences, and conflict. Values such as democracy and freedom, which deem to be universal cultural concept, were once unheard of- in other word, culture is often being reinterpreted in the contemporary and thus cultural landscape is the site of contestant and insurgent space. The space of insurgent site is thus the materialization of a urban history. Wenminglo, the name of brothel house, In this case, what begin as the social movement with abolishment of the legal public prostitution in Taipei- a group of public prostitute and advocate of sex workers’ fight for the right of the profession, and their effort in making brothel a city designated historic building in Taipei. The event began when the abolishment of licensed prostitutes who had worked legally in Taipei is being revoked, in the city’s effort of ’clean’ up the city back in 1999. Wingminglo was one of the building which the sex workers, has worked and later become the NGO group-Spring everyday or formally collective of Sex Workers and Supporters, COSWAS 1 The discursive transformation which prompt the question: whose culture history should be conserved? Can it be part of the urban collective memories? Who has the right to erase the culture of others? How to preserve or rebuild such memories and building in the city?The chapter discusses why preserving a building that seems to represent the under class’s irresponsible sexual site challenges the urban middle class’s value system as well as historical preservation discourse. The preservation of the "history which one would like to forget" is an important part of the culture heritage. In that, the interpretation and the changing value of the historical event would continue to challenge our value system, and thus became an important culture heritage which one continues to learn and reshape cultural values of the society.
