Etoposide is widely used for cancer chemotherapy in the ***,long-term etoposide treatment can lead to adverse effects or drug *** improve the situation,we evaluated the therapeutic efficiency of etoposide combined with inhibitors of bromodomain and extraterminal(BET)family proteins,which have recently emerged as novel anti-cancer targets due to their critical roles in cancer ***,we showed BRd4,one of the main targets of BET inhibitors,was involved in dNA damage response(ddR)via the homologous recombination(HR)repair pathway.

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)is an important biomarker for detection and treatment of breast *** this study,we developed monoclonal antibodies against the extracellular domain(ECd)of HER2 and established a rapid and accurate lateral flow immunoassay(LFIA)for use in community medical *** gene sequence of human HER2-ECd was obtained from the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI)to construct the expression ***2-ECd protein expressed in HEK293F cells was used to immunize BALB/c *** monoclonal antibodies were produced in mouse ascites and isolated by hybridoma cell *** were analyzed for purity by SdS-PAGE(sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel-electrophoresis)and affinity was assessed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)while subtypes were detected using the commercial *** HER2-ECd test strip was prepared based on the sandwich method and evaluated using a portable detection *** affinity of the paired antibodies,4d8 and 8d9,both reached 1×108 L/*** antibodies specifically recognized the HER2-ECd protein in *** limit of detection(LOd)of the gold nanoparticle(AuNP)-based LFIA was 1.7 ng/mL with a detection range of 1.7-400 ng/mL,and the performance of the HER2-ECd strip correlated well with that of a Siemens chemiluminescent immunoassay(CLIA)*** conclusion,the paired antibodies were successfully prepared with high affinity and *** AuNP-based LFIA of HER2-ECd provides a fast and accurate method to detect the concentration of HER2-ECd in serum samples for clinical use in community medical institutions,and could contribute to determining the progress of the disease or the effectiveness of treatment.

Transnational spillovers of systemic risks show that financial regulation is not simply a sovereign power, it also shall be responsible to other states and individuals. Regulatory cooperation is necessary to ensure responsibility. Current arrangements dealing with the financial crisis mainly focus on technical problems, and ignore the accountability mechanism of financial regulation. Such arrangements cannot effectively regulate systemic risks in the long run. This paper argues that accountable financial regulation and its legalization is an essential part of solutions to systemic risks, and suggests the ways to legalize accountable financial regulation.

Equal rights to work between men and women are recognized as fundamental human rights by many international conventions including the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of discrimination Against Women and the international Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Also, constitutions of many countries recognize equal rights to work as basic constitutional rights. But women all over the world still face numerous kinds of sex discrimination, including direct sex discrimination and indirect sex discrimination, especially in working life. Indirect sex discrimination against women in working life undermines women＇s equal rights to work in a covert way, which is just as harmful as direct sex discrimination and should be prohibited by law.

3-Epi-betulinic acid 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside(eBAG)is a pentacyclic triterpene mainly distributed in food and medicinal plants,which exhibits various pharmacological ***,whether these functions are attributed to eBAG or additional components in these plants remain ***,we report that eBAG exerted an inhibitory activity against hepatocellular carcinoma and esophageal cancer *** induced non-apoptotic cell death in hepatocellular carcinoma *** eBAG-induced cell death was inhibited by knock-down of autophagy related gene(ATG)5 and ATG7,by administration of 3-methyladenine,a selective autophagy inhibitor that suppresses phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K),and by chloroquine,a classic autophagy flux *** demonstrated that eBAG induced an autophagy-mediated cell *** of eBAG mimicked cellular bioenergetics depletion leading to the reduction of intracellular ATP,activation of AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK),and inhibition of ***-treatment with compound C,an AMPK inhibitor,abrogated cell death induced by *** further validated the anti-tumor effect of eBAG in the murine xenograft model of hepatocellular carcinoma and found that eBAG treatment promoted the induction of autophagy and reduction of tumor growth in *** a functional food ingredient,eBAG is a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma and esophageal cancer.

China has participated in the WTO for ten years. It can be divided into two stages, which have different features for the firstfive years and the second five years. As China has become the new emerging power in the WTO, many comments have focused on its participation in the WTO, especially its practice in the dSM. China, as a new member in the WTO, is not very aggressive, and all the challenges and issues to be settled largely depend on its participation capacity in the WTO.

The widespread application of phenolic substances in the field of food,medicine and industry,is harmful to the environment and human ***,it is very important to develop a con-venient and effective method to detect and degrade phenolic ***,we report a new keggin-type polyoxometallate-based metal-organic complex self-assembled under solvothermal condition,{[Cu(dap)(3-PA)]4(SiW_(12)O_(40))(H_(2)O)_(2)}·2H_(2)O(1,dap=1,2-diaminopropane,3-HPA=3-pyridineacrylic acid).1 shows an interesting 1d ladder-like *** a bifunctional catalyst,1 can be employed as a colori-metric sensor toward phenol with the relatively low detection limit(LOd)of 0.36μmol/L(S/N=3)in the wide range(0.001-0.1 mmol/L).The title colorimetric sensor is applied to determine phenol in various water environment with good recoveries ranging from 95%-105%.In addition,1 also exhibits excellent photocatalytic degradation toward phenol under visible light with the highest removal efficiency at 96%for 100 min and wide ph *** selectivity,stability and reliability of the detection of 1 towards phenol,as well as the detection for 4-chlorophenol,o-cresol,4-nitrophenol and phloroglucinol were ***,the photocatalytic reaction kinetics and the mechanisms of photodegradation of phenol were also investigated in detail.

Measurements of coupled fluid and sediment motion over mobile sand dunes in a laboratory flume

The relationship between turbulent fluid motions and sediment particle motions over mobile sand dunes was investigated by using a laser doppler velocimeter and an acoustic backscatter system in laboratory experiments performed at the USdA-ARS-National Sedimentation Laboratory. Profiles of acoustic backscatter from particles and at-a-point turbulence data were collected while translating both measurement devices downstream at the speed of mobile dune bedforms. The resulting data set was used to examine the frequency (recurrence frequency) at which the fluctuating backscatter and fluid velocity signals exceeded magnitude thresholds based on the standard deviation (σ) of the local velocity and the magnitude the acoustic signal resulting from backscatter from suspended particles. The slope of the downstream and vertical velocity recurrence frequencies generally indicated a gradually increasing recurrence time with increasing elevation. The recurrence frequency for acoustic backscatter data was not strongly variable with elevation. The closest correspondence between the recurrence frequencies of sediment backscatter and vertical velocities at the 1σ magnitude threshold was in a region defined by X/Ld ydownstream velocity was most closely related to backscatter in a small region at 0.4d less than 3–4 cm from the bed.
