Objective:The objective of the study is to explore the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome distribution in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its correlation with treatment methods and clinical laboratory *** and Methods: Using the CRC cases report form of TCM,760 CRC patients with TCM four diagnosis information,western medicine treatment information and clinical laboratory indicators were collected,and TCM syndromes distribution in CRC were *** correlation between TCM syndrome type and western medicine treatments,clinical laboratory indicators such as liver and kidney function,immune function,and tumor biomarkers was analyzed. Results:In 760 cases of CRC, Spleen deficiency syndrome (SDS, 25%),liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome (LKYDS, 13%), LKYDS-SDS,12%,spleen deficient Qi stagnation syndrome (SDQSS, 10%),and damp heat syndrome (DHS, 9%) were more common TCM syndrome ***, SDS,LKYDS-SDS,and SDQSS were significantly distributed under different treatment methods (P 0.05),but there was statistically significant difference in the distribution of blood routine,liver and kidney function, and tumor biomarkers (P radiotherapy,and chemotherapy.

Dear Editor,In the European region,which shares 22.8%of the global cancer burden for 10%of the global population,there were around 4.4 million new cancer cases and 1.9 million deaths from cancer in 2020[1].The reasons for the high cancer incidence rates are complex;however,diet and dietary components are among the main contributors to cancer risk[2].In modern-day living,a growing proportion of people include in their diets ultra-processed *** of food processing and home-prepared foods are so-called dietary advanced glycation endproducts(AGEs),which are reactive metabolites emerging during the breakdown of reducing *** production is preponderant in dry high-heat processes(e.g.,baking,roasting);hence foods such as cakes,crisps,crackers,cereal products,meat and meat-derived products represent a major source of dietary AGEs[3].

Microbial-induced inflammation serves a dual role,safeguarding against pathogens but also posing a risk of secondary harm to host tissues,potentially leading to fibrosis and *** traditional pathogens,gut microbiota,the mutualistic microorganisms inhabiting the gastrointestinal tract,crucial for digestion,immunity,and cancer prevention,can incite inflammation-related cancer when their microenvironment undergoes *** research reveals that microbiota members like Escherichia coli and other genotoxic pathogens can induce DNA damage across various cell *** infections involving microbiota members like Helicobacter spp.,linked to liver,colorectal,cervical cancers,and lymphoma,can activate carcinogenic *** responses,driven by immune cells releasing inflammatory molecules like macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MMIF),superoxide peroxynitrite,pro-inflammatory cytokines,adhesion molecules,and growth factors,contribute to DNA damage and oncogenic mutations *** microenvironment further supports neoplastic cell survival and *** summary discusses the involvement of inflammatory pathways in microbial-triggered carcinogenesis and the potential role of microbiota modulation in cancer prevention.

AIM:To address the diagnostic value of the regular arrangement of collecting venules(RAC)among old age patients. METHODS:A total of 390 consecutive patients whose Helicobacter pylori(***)status was known and who received upper gastrointestinal endoscopy,were retrospectively studied for the presence or absence of RAC as well as gastric mucosal *** sensitivity, specificity,positive predictive value,negative predic-tive value and accuracy of RAC to detect normal gastric mucosa were assessed and were compared among two different age groups of patients. RESULTS:The mean age±standard deviation(SD)of included patients(n=390),was 62.9±13 *** sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and accuracy of RAC to detect normal gastric mucosa were 91.7%,66.1%,18.8%,99%and 68.1%*** the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and accuracy of RAC among patients<60 years(n= 139)was 94.7%,71.2%,46.2%,98.1%and 76.1%,respectively,it was 80%,64.3%,5.1%,93%and 64.6%, respectively,among patients≥60 years(n=251). Younger Patients(<60 years),have highly significant rates of RAC sensitivity,positive predictive value,and accuracy(P≤0.001,≤0.001 and≤0.02,respectively).Older patients had highly significant rates of H. pylori infection and gastric mucosal atrophy(P≤0.01). CONCLUSION:Although RAC is a valuable sign for real-time identification of normal gastric mucosa,its accuracy seems to be affected by the patient's age.

Electrochemical treatment is an alternative modality for tumor treatment based on the application of a low intensity direct electric current to the tumor tissue through two or more platinum electrodes placed within the tumor zone or in the surrounding areas. This treatment is noted for its great effectiveness, minimal invasiveness and local effect. Several studies have been conducted worldwide to evaluate the anfitumoral effect of this therapy. In all these studies a variety of biochemical and physiological responses of tumors to the applied treatment have been obtained. By this reason, researchers have suggested various mechanisms to explain how direct electric current destroys tumor ceils. Although, it is generally accepted this treatment induces electrolysis, electroosmosis and electroporation in tumoral tissues. However, action mechanism of this alternative modality on the tumor tissue is not well understood. Although the principle of Electrochemical treatment is simple, a standardized method is not yet available. The mechanism by which Electrochemical treatment affects tumor growth and survival may represent more complex process. The present work analyzes the latest and most important research done on the electrochemical treatment of tumors. We conclude with our point of view about the destruction mechanism features of this alternative therapy. Also, we suggest some mechanisms and strategies from the thermodynamic point of view for this therapy. In the area of Electrochemical treatment of cancer this tool has been exploited very little and much work remains to be done. Electrochemical treatment constitutes a good therapeutic option for patients that have failed the conventional oncology methods.

New highly conformal irradiation modalities have emerged for treatment of Hodgkin *** Tomotherapy offers both intensity-modulated irradiation and accurate patient positioning and was shown to significantly decrease radiation doses to the critical *** we review some of the most promising applications of helical tomotherapy in Hodgkin *** decreasing doses to the heart or the breast,helical tomotherapy might decrease the risk of long-term cardiac toxicity or secondary breast cancers,which are major concerns in patients receiving chest *** strategies,such as debulking radiotherapy prior to stem cell transplantation or total lymphoid irradiation may be clinically ***,helical tomotherapy may also increase the volume of tissues that receive lower doses,which has been implicated in the carcinogenesis *** assessments of these new irradiation modalities of helical tomotherapy are required to confirm the potential benefits of highly conformal therapies applied to hematological malignancies.
