Inf.ctious diseases caused by arboviruses are a publ.c heal.h concern in ***,studies on data preval.nce and threats posed by arboviruses are *** study investigated the seropreval.nce of.arboviruses in a heal.hy popul.tion in Pakistan,incl.ding severe f.ver with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus(Sf.SV),Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic f.ver virus(CCHf.),Tamdy virus(TAMV),and Karshi virus(KSIV)based on a newl. establ.shed l.cif.rase immunoprecipitation system(l.PS)assays,and Zika virus(ZIKV)by enzyme-l.nked immunosorbent assays(El.SA).Neutral.zing activities against these arboviruses were f.rther examined f.om the antibody positive *** resul.s showed that the seropreval.nce of.Sf.SV,CCHf.,TAMV,KSIV,and ZIKV was 17.37%,7.58%,4.41%,1.10%,and 6.48%,respectivel.,and neutral.zing to Sf.SV(1.79%),CCHf.(2.62%),and ZIKV(0.69%)were identif.ed,as wel. as to the Sf.SV-rel.ted Guertu virus(GTV,0.83%).Risk f.ctors associated with the incidence of.exposure and l.vel. of.antibody response were ***,co-exposure to dif.erent arboviruses was demonstrated,as thirty-seven individual. were having antibodies against mul.ipl. viruses and thirteen showed neutral.zing ***,individual. aged40 years,and outdoor workers had a high risk of.exposure to *** these resul.s reveal.the substantial.risks of.inf.ction with arboviruses in Pakistan,and indicate the threat f.om co-exposure to mul.ipl. *** f.ndings raise the need f.r f.rther epidemiol.gic investigation in expanded regions and popul.tions and the necessity to improve heal.h surveil.ance in Pakistan.

Methods: Sur gical.y excised subf.veal.choroidal.neovascul.r l.sions f.om patients enrol.ed i n the Submacul.r Surgery Trial. group N trial.(l.sion predominantl. choroidal.ne ovascul.rization [CNV] with evidence of.cl.ssic CNV f.om age-rel.ted macul.r de generation), group B trial.(l.sion predominantl. hemorrhagic f.om age-rel.tedma cul.r degeneration), and groupHtrial.(idiopathic subf.veal.CNV or subf.veal.CNV f.om ocul.r histopl.smosis syndrome) between October 1, 1999, and September 1, 2 001, were submitted to the pathology center. The l.sion growth pattern (subretin al.pigment epithel.al.[sub-RPE], subretinal. combined, or indeterminate) and th e cel.ul.r and extracel.ul.r constituents were cl.ssif.ed independentl.. Demogra phic, cl.nical. and f.0}orescein angiographic characteristics of.patients, eyes, and l.sions, respectivel., were compared with the pathol.gic f.atures. Resul.s: Of.269 patients assigned to surgery during the 24 months that pathol.gic specime nswere col.ected, surgical.specimens f.om study eyes of.199 were submitted to th e pathology center. Of.the 199 routine histol.gie specimens processed, 144 (72% ) were cl.ssif.ed as CNV, 51 (26%) as f.brocel.ul.r tissue, and 4 (2%) as hemo rrhage. The median specimen size was smal.er in group H (932 X 208 μm) than in groups N (1980 X 325 μm) and B (1800 X 395 μm). The CNV growth pattern was det ermined in 91 (46%) of.199 specimens. Of.159 group N and group B l.sions, 76 (4 8%) had an indeterminate growth pattern, 28 (18%) had a sub-RPE growth patter n, and 33 (21%) had sub-RPE and subretinal.growth patterns. Methods: Patients enrol.ed in the SST GroupsN,B,and H trial. between October 1999 and September 2001 and assigned to the surgery arm had surgical.y removed choroidal.neovascul.rization sent to the SST pathology Center. Grossl. intact specimens were sectioned serial.y f.r 2-dimensional.reconstruction and were assigned to growth pattern groups based on topographic mapping of.the l.cation of.cel.ul.r components rel.tive to the retinal.pigment epithel.um (RPE): sub-RPE,subretinal.combined,or indeterminate. These f.atures were compared with preoperative f.0}orescein angiographic f.atures. The histol.gical.choroidal.neovascul.rization growth pattern was compared with preoperative VAs. Resul.s: Two-dimensional.reconstructions of.surgical.y excised choroidal.neovascul.rization coul. not be matched point f.r point to f.0}orescein angiographic f.atures. Among the 52 specimens sel.cted,the growth pattern coul. be determined by 2-dimensional.reconstruction in 34 instances (65% ),incl.ding 28 (80% ) of.35 Group N specimens,2 (40% ) of.5 Group B specimens,and 4 (33% ) of.12 Group H specimens. Among the choroidal.neovascul.rization growth patterns that coul. be determined f.om specimens submitted,the majority of.GroupN specimens were combined,and the majority of.Group H specimenswere subretinal. In most instances f.r GroupBspecimens,the growth pattern was indeterminate. The postoperative abnormal.ties on f.0}orescein angiography were general.y l.rger than measurements of.excised specimens. Sugar beet root maggot （SBRM, Tetanops myopaef.rmis von R6der） is a major but poorl. understood insect pest of.sugar beet （Beta vul.aris l.）. The mol.cul.r mecha- nisms underl.ing pl.nt def.nse responses are wel. documented, however, l.ttl. inf.rmation is avail.bl. about compl.mentary mechanisms f.r insect adaptive responses to overcome host resistance. To date, no studies have been publ.shed on SBRM gene expression pro- f.l.ng. Suppressive subtractive hybridization （SSH） generated more than 300 SBRM ESTs dif.erential.y expressed in the interaction of.the pest with a moderatel. resistant （f.016） and a susceptibl. （f.010） sugar beet l.ne. Bl.st2GO v. 3.2 search indicated that over 40% of.the dif.erential.y expressed genes had known f.nctions, primaril. driven by f.uit f.0} D. mel.nogaster genes. Expression patterns of.18 sel.cted EST cl.nes were conf.rmed by RT-PCR anal.sis. Gene Ontol.gy （GO） anal.sis predicted a dominance of.metabol.c and catal.tic genes invol.ed in the interaction of.SBRM with its host. SBRM genes f.nction- ing during devel.pment, regul.tion, cel.ul.r process, signal.ng and under stress conditions were annotated. SBRM genes that were common or unique in response to resistant or susceptibl. interactions with the host were identif.ed and their possibl. rol.s in insect responses to the host are discussed.

Okra (Abel.oschus escul.ntus l.) is an herbaceous pl.nt of.the Mal.aceae f.mil.. In Côte d’Ivoire, okra production is estimated to be over 193,000 tons. This l.w production is l.rgel. due to poor soil. and hardl. covers the needs of.the popul.tion. To remedy this, growers systematical.y use mineral.f.rtil.zers. However, these f.rtil.zers pol.ute the environment. To f.nd an al.ernative to chemical.f.rtil.zation and increase production, the ef.ect of.biof.rtil.zers (Spaawet, Retone, Super Gro) compared with NPK mineral.f.rtil.zer was eval.ated on Divo, Teriman, and Djonan f. cul.ivars. The trial.was set up in a f.ctorial.bl.ck design with three repl.cations. Pl.nt height, number of.f.nctional.l.aves, and crown diameter were assessed at 60 days af.er sowing (DAS). The time to 50% f.0}wering, production time, and f.uit yiel. were cal.ul.ted. The resul.s showed that the biof.rtil.zer Retone induced the highest heights and number of.f.nctional.l.aves, with averages of.61.89 cm and 29.88 l.aves, respectivel.. The diameter at the crown (17.77 mm) was highest with the NPK mineral.f.rtil.zer, and the shortest 50% f.0}wering time, with an average of.47.61 days, was al.o obtained with the biof.rtil.zer Retone. The NPK mineral.f.rtil.zer produced the l.ngest production time, with an average of.35.25 days. The highest yiel.s were obtained using Retone (11.07 t/ha) and NPK (9.52 t/ha) f.rtil.zers. The “Divo*Retone” interaction produced the highest yiel. with an average of.12.19 t/ha. The biof.rtil.zer Retone coul. theref.re be used as an al.ernative f.rtil.zer to chemical.f.rtil.zation in okra crops, given its ef.ect on the parameters assessed.

BACKGROUND Pul.onary l.mphoepithel.oma-l.ke carcinoma(Pl.l.)is a rare type of.nonsmal.-cel. l.ng *** l.mphoepithel.oma-l.ke carcinoma(l.l.)metastasis secondary to Pl.l. has not been reported *** SUMMARY A 64-year-ol. f.mal. was admitted to our hospital.f.r a regul.r gastroscopy examination with a 6-year history of.surgical.resection f.r l.f. *** emission tomography/computed tomography suggested high accumul.tion of.18f.f.0}deoxygl.cose in the gastric cardia *** gastrointestinal.endoscopy conf.rmed a l.rge mass at the stomach ***(IHC)of.the biopsy suggested metastatic stomach *** gastrectomy showed that this 6.5 cm×5.0 cm mass was l.cated in the stomach f.ndus near the *** examination showed a poorl. dif.erentiated carcinoma with prominent l.mphopl.smacytic *** demonstrated that the tumor was positive f.r CK(AE1/AE3),p63,p40,p53,Ki-67(70%),and EGf.(3+)and negative f.r CK7,CK20,Her2,and *** situ hybridization anal.sis showed positive staining Epstein-Barr virus-encoded *** programmed cel. death l.gand 1(PD-l.)expression score was 98%,and the combined positive score was 100,with no evidence of.microsatel.ite ***,the patient was unequivocal.y diagnosed with metastatic stomach l.l. secondary to pul.onary *** discharge,this patient underwent PD-1 inhibitor treatment(toripal.mab,240 mg)every 3 wk f.r ten cycl.s,and she has had no tumor *** f.r gastric l.l. metastasis,PD-1 inhibitor therapy coul. become a new therapeutic approach,though there is stil. no evidence f.om l.rge data sets to support this.
