This paper attempts to explore the decoupling relationship and its drivers between industrial economic increase and energy-related CO_(2) emissions(ICE). Firstly, the decoupling relationship was evaluated by Tapio index. Then, based on the DEA meta-frontier theory framework which taking into account the regional and industrial heterogeneity and index decomposition method, the driving factors of decoupling process were explored mainly from the view of technology and efficiency. The results show that during2000-2019, weak decoupling was the primary state. Investment scale expansion was the largest reason hindering decoupling process of industrial increase from ICE. Both energy saving and production technology achieved significant progress, which facilitated the decoupling process. Simultaneously, the energy technology gap and production technology gap among regions have been narrowed, and played a role in promoting decoupling process. On the contrary, both scale economy efficiency and pure technical efficiency have inhibiting effects on decoupling process. The former indicates that the scale economy of China's industry was not conducive to improve energy efficiency and production efficiency, while the latter indicates that resource misallocation problem may exist in both energy market and product market.

Covert communication has been widely investigated to avoid the transmission behavior being overheard by the warder. However, covert communication may be illegitimately utilized by unauthorized parties to evade the supervision of authorized agencies, which leads to great challenges to information security. To meet the need for authorized parties to monitor and prevent illegitimate transmission between unauthorized nodes, a novel paradigm, called legitimate monitor, is proposed for counter covert communications. In the preceding covert communication system, the covert transmission rate is the focus. Differently,the core concern of the legitimate monitor system is the outage probability of the transmission between unauthorized nodes, which should be maximized to interrupt the potential but undetectable *** achieve these goals effectively, a proactive guarding approach is proposed, where the authorized warder detects the transmission behavior and emits jamming signals to interfere with the potential transmission,simultaneously. In particular, the jamming power at the warder is optimized under cases where the instantaneous/statistical channel state information is available. Besides, the corresponding outage probability is derived to evaluate the system performance, which can also be simplified to scenarios with a passive *** results demonstrate that proactive guarding outperforms the passive one, especially when the warder is not proximal to the unauthorized transmitter. In addition, the proposed jamming power allocation scheme also outperforms other benchmark schemes.

The Sequential Pricing of Ride-Hailing System with Rental Service in the Context of Fleet Electrification

Surging demand and reduced capacity in the ride-hailing industry have prompted numerous ride-hailing platforms to build their own car-rental services catering to drivers who do not possess private vehicles. However, the trade-off between the ride-hailing service and the car-rental service is an important issue that is still unclear in theory. Moreover, ride-hailing platforms are transitioning towards all-electric fleets in the context of Carbon Neutrality goals and government regulations. This paper considers a ride-hailing system comprising a monopolist ride-hailing platform, an electric vehicle (EV) rental firm, and a gasoline vehicle (GV) rental firm. Furthermore, we build a stylized model to study the sequential pricing of the system. The equilibrium outcomes show the significant impact of the ride-hailing platform’s decision to continue or withdraw offering EV rental services on EV and GV drivers’ net earnings, rental prices, and wages. The ride-hailing platform providing EV rental services increases EV drivers’ net earnings but decreases the GV driver wages and rental prices. However, the EV rental service offered by the ride-hailing platform does not necessarily lead to an increased total profit for the system. The improved profitability of the system by the ride-hailing platform providing EV rental services is contingent upon lower rider prices and higher fuel costs. The ride-hailing platform’s EV rental services provision also effectively fosters the ride-hailing fleet’s electrification. Furthermore, as the number of riders increases, the ride-hailing platform should reduce the commission rate for EV drivers to maintain competitiveness and profitability.

While progress has been made in information source localization,it has overlooked the prevalent friend and adversarial relationships in social *** paper addresses this gap by focusing on source localization in signed network *** the topological characteristics of signed networks and transforming the propagation probability into effective distance,we propose an optimization method for observer ***,by using the reverse propagation algorithm we present a method for information source localization in signed *** experimental results demonstrate that a higher proportion of positive edges within signed networks contributes to more favorable source localization,and the higher the ratio of propagation rates between positive and negative edges,the more accurate the source localization ***,this aligns with our observation that,in reality,the number of friends tends to be greater than the number of adversaries,and the likelihood of information propagation among friends is often higher than among *** addition,the source located at the periphery of the network is not easy to ***,our proposed observer selection method based on effective distance achieves higher operational efficiency and exhibits higher accuracy in information source localization,compared with three strategies for observer selection based on the classical full-order neighbor coverage.

This study delves into the formation dynamics of alliances within a closed-loop supply chain(CLSC)that encom-passes a manufacturer,a retailer,and an e-commerce *** leverages Stackelberg game for this exploration,contrasting the equilibrium outcomes of a non-alliance model with those of three differentiated alliance *** non-alliance model acts as a crucial benchmark,enabling the evaluation of the motivations for various supply chain entities to engage in alliance *** analysis is centered on identifying the most effective alliance strategies and establishing a coordination within these *** thoroughly investigate the consequences of diverse alliance behaviors,bidirectional free-riding and cost-sharing,and the resultant effects on the optimal decision-making among supply chain *** findings underscore several pivotal insights:(1)The behavior of alliances within the supply chain exerts variable impacts on the optimal pricing and demand of its *** comparison to the non-alliance(D)model,the manufacturer-retailer(MR)and manufacturer-e-commerce platform(ME)alliances significantly lower both offline and online resale prices for new and remanufactured *** adjustment leads to an enhanced demand for products via the MR alliance’s offline outlets and the ME alliance’s online platforms,thereby augmenting the profits for those within the ***,retailer-e-commerce platform(ER)alliance tends to increase the optimal retail price and demand across both online and offline *** specific conditions,alliance behavior can also increase the profits of non-alliance members,and the profits derived through alliance channels also exceed those from non-alliance channels.(2)The prevalence of bidirectional free-riding behavior largely remains constant across different alliance *** these models,bidirectional free-riding typically elevates the equilibrium prices in offline channel while negatively affe

CEO compensation stickiness represents an important indicator to measure the effectiveness of compensation *** study uses CEO career experience data and compensation stickiness data from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2015 to 2020 to investigate the compensation contracts’effectiveness of CEOs with diverse career *** findings are as follows:1)Compensation stickiness is more pronounced for CEOs with diverse career *** to the mechanism test,these CEOs with diverse career experiences can obtain compensation incentives by reducing corporate uncertainty perception and improving total factor *** approach leads to increased compensation stickiness and the effectiveness of compensation *** with diverse career experiences may receive excess compensation by raising agency costs,which intensifies compensation stickiness and weakens the effectiveness of compensation contracts.2)Compensation stickiness of CEOs with diverse career experiences is more significant in companies with lower investor protection,which brings about less effective compensation *** contrast,in companies with higher diversification,the compensation stickiness of CEOs with diverse career experiences is more significant,which delivers more effective compensation *** conclusions deepen the research of CEO compensation contracts and provide a helpful reference for CEO compensation management practices.

Solving complex post-disaster reconstruction challenges requires the altruistic involvement of heterogeneous stakeholder ***,small,more organized groups,such as government parastatals,private developers,and contractors often exploit large,unorganized groups,such as affected communities,leaving them more vulnerable to future *** on data collected from a case study in Pakistan,this study proposed a framework to assess,anticipate,and mitigate the exploitation of vulnerable stakeholders in post-disaster reconstruction *** framework draws on influential management theories and utilizes reciprocal relationships between stakeholder attributes(power,legitimacy,and urgency),participation,and *** study also argued for non-binary treatment of stakeholder *** framework will allow practitioners to address issues around the exploitation of stakeholder interests in future post-disaster reconstruction projects.

Analyzing the Dissemination of News by Model Averaging and Subsampling

The dissemination of news is a vital topic in management science,social science and data *** the development of technology,the sample sizes and dimensions of digital news data increase *** alleviate the computational burden in big data,this paper proposes a method to deal with massive and moderate-dimensional data for linear regression models via combing model averaging and subsampling *** author first samples a subsample from the full data according to some special probabilities and split covariates into several groups to construct candidate ***,the author solves each candidate model and calculates the model-averaging weights to combine these estimators based on this ***,the asymptotic optimality in subsampling form is proved and the way to calculate optimal subsampling probabilities is *** author also illustrates the proposed method via simulations,which shows it takes less running time than that of the full data and generates more accurate estimations than uniform ***,the author applies the proposed method to analyze and predict the sharing number of news,and finds the topic,vocabulary and dissemination time are the determinants.

Digital financial inclusion(DFI)has the advantage of promoting information sharing,reducing transaction costs,and providing microloan platforms for small and medium-sized *** has also made outstanding contributions to decreasing CO_(2) ***,the volatility correlation between DFI and CO_(2) emissions is still relatively *** research uses the spatial autoregressive process with conditional heteroscedastic errors(SARspARCH)model to evaluate the spatial fluctuation spillover impacts of DFI on CO_(2) emissions in 284 Chinese cities covering the period 2011-2016 following the IPAT *** results indicate that CO_(2) emissions have significant spatial spillover and volatility *** fitted value of SARspARCH estimation results is more realistic than the SAR and spARCH *** alleviates average CO_(2) emissions in Chinese ***,spatial volatility weakens the negative influence of DFI on average carbon *** study provides insights from which governments can strengthen inter-regional communication and synergistic emission-reduction capabilities,and promote the digitization of the financial sector to achieve carbon neutrality goals.
