Background:B cells represent a crucial component of adaptive immunity that ensures long-term protection from infection by generating pathogen-specific *** alters B cell counts and immunoglobulin levels,but evidence-based conclusions on potential benefits for adaptive immunity are *** systematic review assessed current literatures on the impact of acute exercise and exercise training on B cells,immunoglobulins,and markers of secretory immunity in human ***:According to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)guidelines,MEDLINE,Web of science,and Embase were searched on March 8,***-randomized controlled trials and crossover trials investigating the impact of acute exercise or exercise training on B cell counts and proportions,immunoglobulin levels,salivary flow rate,or secretory immunoglobulin A secretion rate were *** and reporting of exercise training studies were assessed using the Tool for the Assessment of Study Quality and reporting in *** characteristics,outcome measures,and statistically significant changes were summarized ***:Of the 67 eligible studies,22 applied acute exercise and 45 applied exercise *** included outcomes revealed significant alterations over time in acute exercise and exercise training context,but only a few investigations showed significant differences compared to control *** and plasma immunoglobulin A levels were most consistently increased in response to exercise ***:B cell-related outcomes are altered by acute exercise and exercise training,but evidence-based conclusions cannot be drawn with high confidence due to the large heterogeneity in populations and exercise ***-designed trials with large sample sizes are needed to clarify how exercise shapes B cell-related immunity.

Background: Exercise promotes numerous phenotypic adaptations in skeletal muscle that contribute to improved function and metabolic capacity. An emerging body of evidence suggests that skeletal muscle also releases a myriad of factors during exercise, termed "myokines". The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of high-intensity interval training(HIIT) on the acute regulation of the mRNA expression of several myokines, including the prototypical myokine interleukin-6(IL-6), and recently identified myokines fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5(FNDC5)(irisin) and meteorin-like protein(METRNL).Methods: Both before and after a 20-day period of twice-daily high-volume HIIT, 9 healthy males(20.5 ± 1.5 years performed a standardized bout of high-intensity interval exercise(HIIE; 5 × 4 min at ~80% pretraining peak power output) with skeletal muscle biopsy samples(vastus lateralis) obtained at rest, immediately following exercise, and at 3 h ***: Before training, a single bout of HIIE increased IL-6(p training(p training(main effect of training, p < 0.05).Conclusion: In human skeletal muscle(1) an acute bout of HIIE can induce upregulation of skeletal muscle IL-6 mRNA both before and after a period of intensified HIIT;(2) Resting and overall FNDC5 mRNA expression is increased by 20 days of HIIT; and(3) METRNL mRNA expression is responsive to both acute HIIE and short-term intense HIIT. Future studies are needed to confirm these findings at the protein and secretion level in humans.

Purpose This study aimed to describe the national prevalence of Chinese children and adolescents who met the World Health Organization muscle-strengthening exercise(MSE)recommendations and identify correlates of meeting the MSE *** Cross-sectional data from the 2019 Physical Activity and Fitness in China—The Youth Study,a nationally representative sample of Chinese children and adolescents(n=80,413;mean age=13.7 years;53.9%girls)and their parents,were *** and adolescents who reported engaging≥3 days(up to 7 days)of MSE per week were classified as meeting the MSE ***,demographics,lifestyle behaviors(sport participation,moderate-to-vigorous physical activity,screen time,and sleep duration),exercise intention,peer and parental support,and parental MSE participation were assessed through *** regression models were used to determine the correlates of meeting the MSE *** analyses were completed in *** Overall,39.3%of children and adolescents met the MSE ***,10th-12th graders,minorities,those from lower income households and those from families with lower parental education were less likely to meet the MSE *** and adolescents who were proficient in≥2 sports were more likely to meet the MSE recommendations(adjusted odds ratio(aOR)=1.44,95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.26-1.65),as were those with more moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(aOR=1.57,95%CI:1.53-1.61).Additionally,children and adolescents with high exercise intention(aOR=1.60,95%CI:1.51-1.69),those whose parents met the adult MSE recommendations(aOR=1.46,95%CI:1.40-1.52),and those who received high peer(aOR=1.27,95%CI:1.20-1.34)and parental support(aOR=1.07,95%CI:1.04-1.12)were more likely to meet the MSE *** Less than two-fifths of Chinese children and adolescents met the World Health Organization MSE *** correlates identified in our study can

Cardiovascular fitness of divers is overwhelmingly performed using bicycle ergometry.A more sport-specific alternative presents fit2dive,an underwater spiroergometry *** of this exploratory study:using fit2dive to investigate the diagnostic value of measures of heart rate variability(HRV)after markedly increasing physical *** scuba divers employed the fit2dive system and increased fin-swimming speed until *** gas consumption(VE)and heart rate(HR)were measured.A three-lead ECG was recorded to analyze for time and frequency domain *** increased from 16.5±6.5 to 68.3±26.6 L/*** increased from 96±13 beats/min(mean±SD)at rest to 170±14 beats/min before *** variability(SDNN:132±42 vs.54±17 ms)decreased along with two measures of parasympathetic activity(RMSSD:59±31 vs.24±16 ms;pNN50:22%±12%vs.3%±3%).Measures from the frequency domain decreased[low frequency(LF):3167±2651 vs.778±705 ms_(2)]or remained unaltered[high frequency(HF):885±652 vs.431±463 ms^(2)].Thus,LF/HF decreased from 4.3±2.3 to 2.5±*** sports-specific fit2dive can help assessing diving fitness by employing HRV ***,this study supports the view that these measures much depend on ***,HRV measures regarding altered autonomic control during exercise will lead to serious misinterpretation:as HR increases,variability decreases.

This study aimed to explore associations of sport participation with anxiety and depressive symptoms among Chi-nese minority adolescents.A cross-sectional study was conducted among Chinese adolescents in Tibet.A conve-nience sample method was used to select ***,1452 students completed the survey and 1421(52.10%girls,Grades 4–9,13.46±1.41 years old)adolescents met the inclusion criteria of ***-graphic variables,sport participation,depression and anxiety were evaluated by self-reported *** 1421 participants,80%of adolescents lived in rural area and more than fourﬁfths of participants had *** parent’s education level of participants was mostly middle school and *** prevalence of par-ticipating in sport more than 3 times per week was only 7%.More than one-third of adolescents reported they never engaged in sport and 36.5%of adolescents took part in sport 1–3 times per *** comparison with participants who never engaging in sport participation,those who engaging in one to three time/month(OR=0.71%,95%CI:0.54–0.93)and more than 3 times/week(OR=0.50%,95%CI:0.32–0.79)were less likely to report severe depression *** with participants who never had sport participation,only those counterparts who engaged in sport more than 3 times/week had lower odds for severe anxiety(OR=0.46%,95%CI:0.29–0.73).These results indicated that engaging in sport participation was negatively associated with depres-sion and *** is an urgent need to improve the level of sport participation for Chinese minority ado-lescents,and to explore the mechanism of exercise under hypoxia on mental health.

Purpose:This study aimed to examine the effects of plyometric jump training(PJT)on lower-limb ***:Systematic searches were conducted in PubMed,Web of science,and *** participants included healthy males and females who undertook a PJT programme isolated from any other training ***:There was a small effect size(ES)of PJT on lower-limb stiffness(ES=0.33,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.07-0.60,z=2.47,p=0.01).Untrained individuals exhibited a larger ES(ES=0.46,95%CI:0.08-0.84,p=0.02)than trained individuals(ES=0.15,95%CI:-0.23 to 0.53,p=0.45).Interventions lasting a greater number of weeks(>7 weeks)had a larger ES(ES=0.47,95%CI:0.06-0.88,p=0.03)than those lasting fewer weeks(ES=0.22,95%CI:-0.12 to 0.55,p=0.20).Programmes with2 sessions per week(ES=0.20,95%CI:-0.10 to 0.50,p=0.18).Programmes with500 jumps per week had negative effects(ES=-0.22,95%CI:-1.10 to 0.67,p=0.63).Programmes with>7.5 jumps per set showed larger effect sizes(ES=0.55,95%CI:0.02-1.08,p=0.04)than those with7 weeks).
