Whole-genome duplications(WGDs)are an important contributor to phenotypic innovations in evolutionary *** diversity of blood oxygen transport traits is the perfect reflection of physiological versatility for evolutionary success among *** this study,the evolutionary changes of hemoglobin(Hb)repertoire driven by the recent genome duplications were detected in representative Cyprinidae fish,including eight diploid and four tetraploid *** genomic analysis revealed a substantial variation in both membership composition and intragenomic organization of Hb genes in these *** reconstruction analyses were conducted to characterize the evolutionary history of these *** were integrated with the expression profiles of the genes during *** results indicated that genome duplications facilitated the phenotypic diversity of the Hb gene family;each was associated with species-specific changes in gene content via gene loss and fusion after genome *** led to repeated evolutionary transitions in the ontogenic regulation of Hb gene *** results revealed that genome duplications helped to generate phenotypic changes in Cyprinidae Hb systems.

Combining high precision numerical analysis methods with optimization algorithms to make a systematic exploration of a design space has become an important topic in the modern design methods. During the design process of an underwater glider＇s flying-wing structure, a surrogate model is introduced to decrease the computation time for a high precision analysis. By these means, the contradiction between precision and efficiency is solved effectively. Based on the parametric geometry modeling, mesh generation and computational fluid dynamics analysis, a surrogate model is constructed by adopting the design of experiment （DOE） theory to solve the multi-objects design optimization problem of the underwater glider. The procedure of a surrogate model construction is presented, and the Gaussian kernel function is specifically discussed. The Particle Swarm Optimization （PSO） algorithm is applied to hydrodynamic design optimization. The hydrodynamic performance of the optimized flying-wing structure underwater glider increases by 9.1%.

Two amphiboles and a syn-metamorphic quartz vein from the Yuka terrane,North Qaidam,western China,have been analyzed by joint40Ar/39Ar crushing in vacuo and stepwise heating *** crushing in vacuo results provide information to directly constrain the timing of fluid activity and the age of amphibolite-facies *** stepwise heating results could further be used to decipher the thermal history of the UHP *** from amphibolites and quartz vein within garnetamphibolite lens analyzed by in vacuo crushing yield similarly shaped age spectra and exhibit relatively flat age plateaus for the last several *** characteristics of gas release patterns and geochronological data testify to the presence of significant excess40Ar within the fluid *** age plateaux with weighted mean ages（WMA） ranges from 488 to 476 Ma for amphiboles and 403 Ma for quartz（2σ）.These data points constitute amphibole WMA yielding excellent isochrons with isochron ages of 469 and 463 Ma with initial40Ar/36Ar ratios of 520 and 334,*** isochron ages are interpreted to represent initial amphibolite-facies *** data points constituting the quartz age plateaux give an isochron age of 405 Ma with initial40Ar/36Ar ratio of 295,recording a significant aqueous fluid flow episode during the early *** spectra obtained by stepwise heating of amphibole residues remaining after crushing experiments are characterized by younger and relatively complex age spectra,which are probably influenced by the combined effects of resetting argon and/or mineral ***,we note that the spectra shapes have features in common:excluding the last two steps,minimum apparent ages are found at temperatures of around 500 ℃,corresponding to319 and 249 Ma,perhaps representing the time of isotopic resetting or resulting from release gas from mineral inclusions of,e.g.,biotite or *** apparent ages are obtained at temperatures of aro

Single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)provides a powerful tool to determine expression patterns of thousands of individual ***,the analysis of scRNA-seq data remains a computational challenge due to the high technical noise such as the presence of dropout events that lead to a large proportion of zeros for expressed *** into account the cell heterogeneity and the relationship between dropout rate and expected expression level,we present a cell sub-population based bounded low-rank(PBLR)method to impute the dropouts of scRNA-seq *** application to both simulated and real scRNA-seq datasets,PBLR is shown to be effective in recovering dropout events,and it can dramaimprove the low・dimensional representation and the recovery of gene-gene relationships masked by dropout events compared to several state-of-the-art methods・Moreover,PBLR also detects accurate and robust cell sub-populations automatically,shedding light on its flexibility and generality for scRNA-seq data analysis.

Evolutions of defects and helium contained defects produced by atomic displacement and helium deposition with helium implantation at different temperatures in novel high silicon （NHS） steel are investigated by a slow positron beam. Differences of the defect information among samples implanted by helium to a fluence of 1×1017 ions/cm2 at room temperature, 300°C, 450°C and 750°C are discussed. It is found that the mobility of vacancies and vacancy clusters, a recombination of vacancy-type defects and the formation of the He-V complex lead to the occurrence of these differences. At high temperature irradiations, a change of the diffusion mechanism of He atoms/He bubbles might be one of the reasons for the change of the S-parameter.

In the process of manufacturing the world’s largest silicon carbide(SiC)aspheric mirror,the primary difficulties are mirror blank preparation,asphere fabrication,and testing,as well as cladding and ***,the challenges include the homogeneity of the complicated structure casting,accuracy and efficiency of the fabrication process,print-through effect,fidelity and precision of test procedure,stress and denseness of cladding process,the dynamic range of interferometric measurement,and air turbulence error due to the long optical *** break through such a barrier of difficulties,we proposed the water-soluble room temperature vanishing mold and gel casting technology,homogeneous microstructure reaction-formed joint technology,nano-accuracy efficient compound fabrication,gravity unloading technology,high-denseness low-defect physical vapor deposition(PVD)Si-cladding technology,test data fusion method,and time-domain averaging method,*** on the proposed technologies and methods,we have accomplished the world’s largest SiC aspheric mirror with a size of φ4.03 *** impressive performance of the SiC aspheric mirror is validated by the characteristics of the fabricated SiC aspheric *** aerial density of the SiC blank is less than 120 kg/m^(2),surface shape test accuracy is better than 6 nm RMS,thickness inhomogeneity of the cladding layer is less than 5%,and the final surface figure error and roughness are 15.2 nm RMS and 0.8 nm RMS,respectively.

Leaf senescence is an essential physiological process related to grain yield potential and nutritional *** leaf duration(GLD)after anthesis directly reflects the leaf senescence process and exhibits large genotypic differences in common wheat;however,the underlying gene regulatory mechanism is still ***,we identified TaNAM-A1 as the causal gene of the major loci q GLD-6A for GLD during grain filling by map-based *** assays and TILLING mutant analyses demonstrated that TaNAM-A1 played a critical role in regulating leaf senescence,and also affected spike length and grain ***,the functional divergences among the three haplotypes of TaNAM-A1 were systematically *** varieties with TaNAM-A1d(containing two mutations in the coding DNA sequence of TaNAM-A1)exhibited a longer GLD and superior yield-related traits compared to those with the wild type *** three haplotypes were functional in activating the expression of genes involved in macromolecule degradation and mineral nutrient remobilization,with TaNAM-A1a showing the strongest activity and TaNAM-A1d the ***-A1 also modulated the expression of the senescencerelated transcription factors TaNAC-S-7A and ***016-3A enhanced the transcriptional activation ability of TaNAM-A1a by protein–protein interaction,thereby promoting the senescence *** study offers new insights into the fine-tuning of the leaf functional period and grain yield formation for wheat breeding under various geographical climatic conditions.
