Carbon dots(CDs)with intriguing fluorescent property,good biocompatibility,high stability,easy interaction with substrates,are burgeoning carbon nanoparticles with large potential in various *** CDs into the polymer matrix is becoming a popular strategy to endow the complex with new ***,the green-synthesized CDs was integrated into the mixture of gelatin(derived from waste fish scale)and chitosan,and a multifunctional bio-nanocomposite(defined as Gelatin/Chitosan/CDs)film was developed,which showed the excellent antibacterial,antioxidant,pH-sensitivity,UV shielding,and blue-emission *** effects of different concentrations of CDs on the physical,mechanical,structural,and functional activity of bio-nanocomposite film were *** with the Gelatin/Chitosan film,the Gelatin/Chitosan/CDs film with an optimum addition of 20%CDs showed the enhanced antibacterial,antioxidant as well as UV shielding *** importantly,it was used as an effective packaging material for fish meat preservation,reducing the loss of nutritional quality consumption,extending the shelf life of ***,the bio-nanocomposite films also possessed the anti-counterfeiting and pH-responsive properties due to the strong fluorescent emission of CDs,and had the great potential in developing the intelligent packaging *** work shed new light on the new application of CDs and the synthesis of bio-nanocomposite film in food industry.

A novel enzyme-assisted one-pot method for the extraction of fucoidan and alginate oligosaccharides from Lessonia trabeculata and their bioactivities

Alginate oligosaccharides(AOS)and fucoidan are two important bioactive carbohydrate which that can be prepared from brown *** investigated a novel enzyme-assisted one-pot method on AOS and fucoidan extraction from Lessonia trabeculata,and found that the optimum extraction procedure was:first,using 10-g/L Na_(2)CO_(3) solution to digest the seaweeds for 2 h at 80℃ with the material-liquid ratio 1:20(g/mL),and then adding 4.0%fucoidan cleavage enzyme for reaction for 12 h at 45℃.The yield of AOS and fucoidan was 21.36%and 14.40%,respectively,which was higher than those using traditional *** degree of polymerization of AOS was determined to be 3-5,confirming the results through thin layer chromatography(TLC)and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(ESI-MS).The ratio of guluronic acid to mannuronic acid in AOS was found to be *** anion-exchange column chromatography,four sulfated polysaccharide fractions(F0.5,F1.0,F1.5,and F2.0)were successfully isolated from *** analysis revealed that fucoidan and F0.5 were heteropolysaccharides,consisting mainly of mannuronic acid,fucose,and xylose,while the other fractions were predominantly composed of fucose and *** sulfate group content increased from 8.74% to 18.76%,while the uronic acid content decreased from 23.79% to 5.58%across the *** fractions of fucoidan exhibited significant antioxidant activity in various *** was a positive correlation between the sulfate content and the ability to scavenge superoxide ***,both AOS and the fucoidan fractions showed immunostimulation activity and were nontoxic to RAW264.7 *** results indicate that the novel enzyme-assisted one-pot method is a green and efficient approach for the extraction of fucoidan and alginate oligosaccharides from brown *** has potential applications in the processing industry of brown seaweeds.
