Metal-supported solid oxide fuel cells(MS-SOfCs)own advantages of high performance,fast start-up,thermal cycle stability,easy sealing,and reduced material *** recent years,significant progress has been made in the development of MS-SOfCs,particularly with respect to improved electrochemical performance,long-term stability,and industrial *** studies have mainly focused on stainless steel-based MS-SOfCs,with an emphasis on the development of low-temperature preparation processes,antioxidant coatings,stable electrodes,and the direct utilization of hydrocarbon ***,Ceres Power and GE have successfully commercialized MS-SOfCs and have constant cooperated with several institutions and companies,such as Jülich research Center,Weichai and Cummins,to promote the performance and expand the market of *** ahead,this review paper provides an outlook on future research directions in this rapidly evolving field.

Characterizing exact energy density distributions for laser-accelerated ion bunches in a medium is challenging due to very high beam intensities and the electro-magnetic pulse emitted in the laser-plasma ***-bunch energy acoustic tracing allows for reconstructing the spatial energy density from the ionoacoustic wave generated upon impact in *** have extended this approach to tracing ionoacoustic modulations of broad energy distributions by introducing thin foils in the water reservoir to shape the acoustic waves at distinct points along the depth-dose ***,we present first simulation studies of this new detector and reconstruction approach,which provides an online read-out of the deposited energy with depth within the centimeter range behind the ion source of state-of-the-art laser-plasma-based accelerators.

rydberg excitons(analogues of rydberg atoms in condensed matter systems)are highly excited bound electron-hole states with large Bohr *** interaction between them as well as exciton coupling to light may lead to strong optical nonlinearity,with applications in sensing and quantum information ***,we achieve strong effective photon–photon interactions(Kerr-like optical nonlinearity)via the rydberg blockade phenomenon and the hybridisation of excitons and photons forming polaritons in a Cu2O-filled *** pulsed resonant excitation polariton resonance frequencies are renormalised due to the reduction of the photon-exciton coupling with increasing exciton *** analysis shows that the rydberg blockade plays a major role in the experimentally observed scaling of the polariton nonlinearity coefficient as∝n4.4±1.8 for principal quantum numbers up to n=*** high principal quantum numbers studied in a polariton system for the first time are essential for realisation of high rydberg optical nonlinearities,which paves the way towards quantum optical applications and fundamental studies of strongly correlated photonic(polaritonic)states in a solid state system.

the acoustic pulse emitted from the Bragg peak of a laser-accelerated proton bunch focused into water has recently enabled the reconstruction of the bunch energy *** adding three ultrasonic transducers and implementing a fast data analysis of the filtered raw signals,I-BEAt(Ion-Bunch Energy Acoustic tracing)3D now provides the mean bunch energy and absolute lateral bunch position in real-time and for individual *** changes in energy spread and lateral bunch size can also be *** experiments at DrACO with proton bunch energies between 10 and 30 MeV reveal sub-MeV and sub-mm *** addition to this 3D bunch information,the signal strength correlates also with the absolute bunch particle number.

With the growing importance of the black soldier fly(Hermetia illucens)for both sustainable food production and waste management as well as for science,a great demand of understanding its immune system ***,we present the first description of the circulating larval hemocytes with special emphasis on uptake of microorganisms and distinguishing hemocyte *** histological,zymographic,and cytometric methods and with a set of hemocyte binding lectins and antibodies,the hemocytes of *** are identified as plasmatocytes,crystal cells,and putative *** hemocyte counts(tHC)are determined,and methods for tHC determination are *** 1100 hemocytes per microliter hemolymph are present in naive animals,while hemocyte density decreases dramatically shortly after wounding,indicating a role of hemocytes in response to wounding(and immune response in general).the determination of the relative abundance of each hemocyte type(differential hemocyte count,DHC)revealed that plasmatocytes are highly abundant,whereas prohemocytes and crystal cells make up only a small percentage of the circulating *** are not only the most abundant but also the professional phagocytes in *** rapidly engulf and take up bacteria both in vivo and in vitro,indicating a very potent cellular defense against invading *** bioparticles such as yeasts are also removed from circulation by phagocytosis,but slower than *** is the first analysis of the potent cellular immune response in the black soldier fly,and a first toolbox that helps to identify hemocyte(types)is presented.

Purpose the fact that Crossfit^(®)is the best-known and rapidly growing concept for high-intensity interval training(HIIt)and high-intensity functional training(HIft)results in a continuous increase of athletes performing Crossfit^(®).In the more than 15,000 Crossfit^(®)Affiliates worldwide,the training concept is usually offered in 1-h training sessions containing the Crossfit^(®)-related workout of the day(WOD),as well as a general warm-up,movement demonstrations,and skill ***,we report how physiological parameters measured by heart rate(Hr)values vary during four different 1-h Crossfit^(®)training sessions of non-elite athletes(n=27)in a local affiliated training center and what influencing factors may *** the duration of the 1-h training sessions were divided into a warm-up part(WU-part),a skill development part combined with strength exercises(A-part),followed by the WOD part(B-part).results Analysis of Hr values shows high training intensity(≥91%Hr_(max))not throughout the duration of each training session,only during *** mean Hr values in B-part differ significantly compared to the remaining training parts(Pfor all four training *** of different Crossfit^(®)experience levels revealed no significant differ-ence in acute physiological demands and training load between beginner and experienced Crossfit^(®)*** Our results may suggest that practicing Crossfit^(®)in 1-h training sessions combined anaerobic and aerobic exercise intensities,with the training concept allows beginners and experienced athletes to be trained with the same cardio-vascular responses and training intensities.
