Dedicated multi media platforms have the potential to enhance experiences and increase people’s awareness of cultural *** is,however,not clear to what extent and by which functions these platforms accomplish ***,the aim of this research is to investigate the influence of functionalities offered by a well-designed multi-media web-platform on the awareness and experience of cultural *** multi media platform used is focused on Strijp-S,an industrial cultural heritage in eindhoven,the *** platform was created as a prototype based on a study of users’preferences for contents and media types *** collect data,a sample of 302 respondents used the platform to explore and view *** test assumed relationships between different functionalities,awareness and experience in an integrated fashion,the data are analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling(SEM).The results show that information-collection funtionality plays a significant role in improving awareness of cultural heritage,whereas auxiliary functions are particularly helpful for enhancing *** perceived helpfulness of these two sets of functions differ however between users depending on theitr level of prior *** and urban planners can use these results to create their own platform based on local heritage to increase the citizens’awareness of cultural heritage.

Perpendicular magnetic tunnel junctions with double-interface free layer(p-DMTJs), which exhibit enhanced tunnel magnetoresistance(TMR) and thermal stability(△) at the nanoscale, have received considerable interest as building blocks for spintronic data storage devices. Heat-assisted magnetic recording(HAMR) techniques have been widely employed in mainstream magnetic storage to enable ultrahigh storage density. However, the data access is achieved by sensing the stray field of the selected magnetic element using a mechanical “read head”, resulting in an unfavorable speed limitation and design complexity. To address this issue, integrating laser-assisted switching with a high-performance magnetic tunnel junction has received interest in spintronic R&D; however, it has not yet been achieved. In this study, we experimentally explored femtosecond(fs) laser-assisted switching in a p-DMTJ device using a direct electrical TMR readout. We demonstrate two reconfigurable switching operations, i.e., binary “write” and unidirectional “reset”, by the interplay of the fs laser and synchronized magnetic field sequence. We further explored the joint effect, and a switching phase diagram was obtained. The effect of the stray field of p-DMTJ, as well as laser helicity,on switching is also discussed. Results show the feasibility of fs laser-assisted writing p-DMTJs, which can pave the way in high-density optospintronic storage applications.

Lithium-rich oxide compounds have been recognized as promising cathode materials for high performance Li-ion batteries,owing to their high specific ***,it remains a great challenge to achieve the fully reversible anionic redox reactions to realize high capacity,high stability,and low voltage hysteresis for lithiumrich cathode ***,it is critically important to comprehensively understand and control the anionic redox chemistry of lithium-rich cathode materials,including atomic structure design,and nano-scale materials engineering ***,we summarize the recent research progress of lithium-rich cathode materials with a focus on redox ***,we highlight the oxygen-based redox reactions in lithium-rich metal oxides,with critical views of designing next generation oxygen redox lithium cathode ***,we purposed the most promising strategies for improving the performances of lithium-rich cathode materials with a technology-spectrum from the atomic scale to nano-scale.

The immersed boundary method has emerged as an efficient approach for the simulation of finite-sized solid particles in complex fluid ***,one of the well known shortcomings of the method is the limited support for the simulation of light particles,*** with a density lower than that of the surrounding fluid,both in terms of accuracy and numerical *** a broad literature exists,with several authors reporting different approaches for improving the stability of the method,most of these attempts introduce extra complexities and are very costly from a computational point of *** this work,we introduce an effective force stabilizing technique,allowing to extend the stability range of the method by filtering spurious oscillations arising when dealing with light-particles,pushing down the particle-to-fluid density ratio as low as *** thoroughly validate the method comparing with both experimental and numerical data available in literature.

Healthy cartilage is a water-filled super lubricious *** type II provides it structural stability,and proteoglycans absorb water to keep the cartilage in a swollen condition,providing it the ability to creep and provide weeping ***(OA)is a degenerative and debilitating disorder of diarthrodial joints,where articular cartilage damage originates from enzymatic degradation and mechanical damage(wear).The objective of this research is to observe the level of cartilage damage present in knee arthroplasty patients and to understand the friction and creep behavior of enzymatically degraded bovine cartilage in ***(Lat)and medial(Med)condylar cartilages from OA patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty showed signs of enzymatic degradation and mechanical *** cartilages were exposed to collagenase III and chondroitinase ABC to degrade collagen and proteoglycans,*** loss of proteoglycans or collagen network and morphological changes were observed through histology and the atomic force microscope(AFM),respectively.A significant effect on creep due to enzymatic treatment was not *** the enzymatic treatment was found to significantly decrease the coefficient of friction(COF)at 4 N,while higher COF was shown from chondroitinase ABC degraded cartilage at 40 *** III treatment leads to the release of intact proteoglycans at the sliding interface,while chondroitinase ABC treatment leads to the loss of chondroitin sulfate(CS)from the *** ABC-digested bovine cartilage mimicked patient samples the best because of the similar distributions of proteoglycans,collagen network,and friction behavior.
