Thrombosis is the pathological process resulting from the inappropriate and propagation of the hemostatic response. The principle determinants of thrombosis can be categorized in contemporary terms according to Virchow' s paradigm: abnormalities in endothelial function ( vessel function ), rheotogy ( blood flow ), or blood component,either alone or in combination, can promote thrombus formation.

＜正＞ Objective: A new approach for enhancing athletic performance is to expose intermittent hypoxia while exercise in normobaric conditions;we aimed to measure in vitro cardiac functions of rats in a setting which simulate this approach. Methods: The Wistar rats in group 1 stayed in a hypobaric cabinet 2 hours a day and 5 days a week for 9 weeks. Hypoxia simulated the PO2 pressure in 3000 meters of altitude. They swam 30 minutes/day for 4 days for 9 weeks. Group 2 stayed and exercised in normobaric conditions. Groups 3 and 4 simulated groups 1 and 2 re speetiely but these groups did not exercise. Then hearths were perfused in Lan gendorff apparatus where their basal and 7.5, 12.5 and 75 mg/L dobutamine treated cardiac performance were measured. Results: Diastolic function deteriorated in group 1 （-dp/dtmax982±443 vs. 1511±224 that of group 2, p = 0.040） . Basal heart rate of group 2 was lower than group 4 （p = 0.018） and that group had higher peak systolic pressure after dobutamine induction （at 7.5 mg/L concentration was 119% of baseline. p = 0.019）. Conclusions: Swimming in nor-mobaric conditions enhanced cardiac functions. However, intermittent hypobaric conditions deteriorated cardiac performance.

We characterize the hemodynamic response changes in the main olfactory bulb(MOB)of anesthetized rats with near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS)during the presentation of three different odorants:(i)plain air as a reference(Blank),(ii) 2-heptanone(HEP),and(iii)isopropylbenzene(Ib).Odorants generate different changes in the concentrations of *** results suggest that NIRS technology might be useful in discriminating various odorants in a non-invasive manner using animals with a superb olfactory system.

Cerebral microcirculatory changes in hypovolemic hypotension we re investigat ed in rats with a cardio-pulmonary bypass (CPB) during pulsatile and non-pulsati le flow. The hypovolemic hypotension was induced by reducing the CPB flow-rate. In the non-pulsatile flow, the cardiac beat was stopped using a fibrilator, whi le in the pulsatile flow the cardiac function was retained. The pial microcircul ation was observed and recorded during CPB, using fluorescence videomicroscopy. The arteriolar diameter and red cell velocity were measured based on the recorde d videoimages. The flow-rate was calculated from the measured diameter and veloc ity data. The present results showed that the flow-rate remained almost constant up to 60 mmHg arterial pressure during pulsatile flow. On the other hand, in n on-pulsatile flow, the flow-rate decreased with a decrease in arterial pressure, indicating the impairment of microvascular autoregulation. It was suggested th at pulsatile flow has an advantage over non-pulsatile flow in a view-point of ce rebral microcirculatory changes in hypovolemic hypotension. Collaborating researchers: Drs. T. Subjective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of acupoints of the Heart Meridian and Lung Meridian on ischemic cardiac systolic ability for analyzing the realtive specific relationship between the Heart Meridian and the ***:Acute myocardial ischemia(AMI) Was produced by intravenous infusion of pituitrin (40u+5% glucose injection 500 ml,60 drips/min)in the *** intraventricular pressure(LVP),maximal rising velocity of LVP(dp/dt max),isovolumetric pressure(IP)and end-diastolic pressure(EDP)of the left cardiac ventricle were used as the *** points of Heart Meridian [HM,from'Shenmen')HT7)to 'lingdan'(HT4)] and the three points of Lung Meridian[LM,from“Taiyuan”(LU9)to“Lieque”(LU7)]were punctured with filiform needles and stimulated with hand-manipulation and electrically with ZYZ-1 EA Therapeutic Apparatus.30 rabbits anes-thetized with urethane(1g/kg) were randomly and evenly divided into control group,HM group and LM ***:The effects of EA of HM points were evidently superior to those of EA of LM points in promoting the recovery of both AMI-induced decrease of LVP and dp/dtmax,and AMI-induced increase of IP and ***:Acupoints of Heart Meridian has a relatively specific connection with the heart in comparison with those of Lung Meridian;and the Heart Meridian is a functionalo whole.
