The “International Standard of Traditional Chinese Medicine Techniques: The Operating Specifications for Chinese Medicated Bath” is drawn up by the beijing University of Chinese Medicine Third Affiliated hospital and beijing University of Chinese Medicine Xiamen hospital in collaboration with domestic TCM universities and hospitals. The specification includes definition, operating process, points for attention and contraindications. It is targeted to provide reference for TCM providers at home and abroad with TCM background in clinical decision-making.

Objective This study aimed to compare the performance of standard-definition white-light endoscopy(SD-WL),high-definition white-light endoscopy(HD-WL),and high-definition narrow-band imaging(HD-NBI)in detecting colorectal lesions in the Chinese *** This was a multicenter,single-blind,randomized,controlled trial with a non-inferiority *** undergoing endoscopy for physical examination,screening,and surveillance were enrolled from July 2017 to December *** primary outcome measure was the adenoma detection rate(ADR),defined as the proportion of patients with at least one adenoma *** associated factors for detecting adenomas were assessed using univariate and multivariate logistic *** Out of 653 eligible patients enrolled,data from 596 patients were *** ADRs were 34.5%in the SD-WL group,33.5%in the HD-WL group,and 37.5%in the HD-NBI group(P=0.72).The advanced neoplasm detection rates(ANDRs)in the three arms were 17.1%,15.5%,and 10.4%(P=0.17).No significant differences were found between the SD group and HD group regarding ADR or ANDR(ADR:34.5%vs.35.6%,P=0.79;ANDR:17.1%vs.13.0%,P=0.16,respectively).Similar results were observed between the HD-WL group and HD-NBI group(ADR:33.5%vs.37.7%,P=0.45;ANDR:15.5%vs.10.4%,P=0.18,respectively).In the univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses,neither HD-WL nor HD-NBI led to a significant difference in overall adenoma detection compared to SD-WL(HD-WL:OR 0.91,P=0.69;HD-NBI:OR 1.15,P=0.80).Conclusion HD-NBI and HD-WL are comparable to SD-WL for overall adenoma detection among Chinese *** can be concluded that HD-NBI or HD-WL is not superior to SD-WL,but more effective instruction may be needed to guide the selection of different endoscopic methods in the *** study’s conclusions may aid in the efficient allocation and utilization of limited colonoscopy resources,especially advanced imaging technologies.

Hemostatic mechanism of Jianpi Yiqi Shexue decoction(健脾益气摄血方) in treatment of immune thrombocytopenia

OBJECTIVE: To explore the early hemostatic mechanism of Jianpi Yiqi Shexue decoction(健脾益气摄血方, JYSD) in treating immune thrombocytopathy(ITP), based on the functional homeostasis of brain-intestine axis and blood neurotransmitter METHODS: Non-drug treatment cases: Healthy volunteers were selected as normal control group and compared with patients with dysfunctional uterine bleeding, gastrointestinal tumors with bleeding and ITP, to detect the changes of blood 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT), β-endorphin(β-EP), vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP) and compare the changes of blood neurotransmitters in patients with different disease symptoms. Drug treatment cases: According to the randomized controlled multicenter clinical trial, 272 ITP patients were randomly divided into three groups: treatment group(JYSD) combined group(JYSD + Prednisone) control group(Prednisone). The changes of blood neurotransmitter(5-HT, β-EP, VIP) before and after treatment were detected on the basis of peripheral blood platelet(PLT) and grade score. RESULTS: Non-drug treatment cases: compared with the normal control group, the 5-HT level was higher, and the VIP and β-EP levels were both lower in the ITP group(P < 0.001), and the 5-HT, VIP and β-EP levels in the Gastrointestinal tumors with bleeding group were also lower compared with the normal control group(P < 0.05, 0.001). Drug treatment cases: The PLT grading scores of the combination group and the control group after treatment were lower than that before treatment(P < 0.05, 0.001). The PLT grading score of the 3 groups were compared in pairs after treatment: the combination group was the lowest among the 3 groups, which was better than the treatment group, but no better than the control group(vs the treatment group, P = 0.005, vs the control group, P = 0.709). Updated prevalence of latent prostate cancer in Chinese population and comparison of biopsy results: An autopsy-based study

Prostate cancer detected by autopsy is named latent prostate *** the repertoire of clinical prostate cancer,latent cancer may better reflect the disease *** clinical prostate specimens,which are obtained exclusively from biopsy-positive cases,prostate specimens obtained through autopsy provide information on biopsy-negative cases,helping calculate the true sensitivity of prostate *** 2014 to 2021,we collected autopsy specimens of the prostate from body donors in China and performed transperineal and transrectal biopsies on specimens before step-sectioning and pathological *** found that the crude prevalence of latent prostate cancer in middle-aged and elderly men was 35.1%(81/231),which was higher than previous estimates for Chinese *** overall per-patient sensitivities of transperineal and transrectal biopsies were not significantly different(33.3%vs.32.1%,p=0.82),but the two approaches differed in preferential sampling area along the proximal-distal axis of the *** biopsy had a higher sensitivity for detecting clinically significant lesions in the distal third(34.7%vs.16.3%,p=0.02)and distal half(30.6%vs.18.1%,p=0.04),while transrectal biopsy had a higher sensitivity for lesions in the proximal half(25.0%vs.13.9%,p=0.046).Both transperineal and transrectal methods of biopsy missed most small lesions(0.5 mL).In conclusion,the prevalence of latent prostate cancer in China has increased over the past 2 *** transperineal and transrectal methods of biopsy had comparable sensitivities but had different preferential sampling *** approaches miss one-third of large lesions.

Use of Evidence-Based Research Approach in RCTs of Acupuncture-Related Therapies for Primary Dysmenorrhea: A Meta-Research

Objective To assess the use of evidence-based research(EBR)approach in randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of acupuncture-related therapies for primary dysmenorrhea(PD).Methods PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,Chinese Biomedical Database,and China Science and Technology Journal Database were searched from January 2013 to December 2022 for RCTs of acupuncture on *** full text and references of each RCT were read to assess whether systematic reviews(SRs)or other types of studies with similar research questions and end-users’perspectives were cited to justify and design the *** addition,the discussion section were analyzed to evaluate whether trials placed the new result in the existing SRs to draw a *** logistic regression was used to find variables that associated with 3 aspects of EBR approach:(1)citing clinical studies for justification,(2)citing relevant studies that obtain the perspectives of end users,and(3)citing clinical studies for results *** Of 473 RCTs included,45.67%(216)of the trials cited relevant similar studies,21.56%(102)referenced to the studies that collected end-users’perspectives,and 10.99%(52)placed result in the context of the previous *** RCTs appropriately applied EBR *** all the included studies,3.17%(15)of the trials used SRs to inform study questions but none of them used updated SRs with acceptable quality;1.05%(5)of the trials cited SRs of end-user’s perspectives in the justification and design of the study,and only 1 trial added results in existing SR to draw a *** of publication,language,funding,registration,ethical approval and number of sites were significantly associated with 1 of the 3 aspects of EBR *** Few RCTs in acupuncture-related therapies for PD used the EBR approach to minimize research ***,research institutes,funding agencies,ethics committees,journals and peer
