Objective To investigate changes in the urinary metabolite profiles of children exposed to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)during critical brain development and explore their potential link with the intestinal *** Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was used to determine ten hydroxyl metabolites of PAHs(OH-PAHs)in 36-month-old ***,37 children were categorized into low-and high-exposure groups based on the sum of the ten ***-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry was used to identify non-targeted metabolites in the urine ***,fecal flora abundance was assessed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing using Illumina *** The concentrations of 21 metabolites were significantly higher in the high exposure group than in the low exposure group(variable importance for projection>1,Pmental outcomes.

Assessing individual risks of healthy aging using biomarkers and identifying associated factors have become important areas of *** this study,we conducted a literature review of relevant publications between 2018 and 2023 in both Chinese and English *** studies have predominantly used single biomarkers,such as C-reactive protein,or focused on specific life course stages and factors such as socioeconomic status,mental health,educational levels,and unhealthy *** summarizing the progress in this field,our study provides valuable insights and future directions for promoting healthy aging from a life course perspective.

The focus of outcome-based education has shifted from the process of training to the end“product”of *** has necessitated a reframing of the teaching,learning,and ***,in 2013,the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education(ACGME)implemented the educational milestones for all accredited residencies and fellowship programs.[1]The milestones have been described as“developmentally based,specialty-specific achievements that residents are expected to demonstrate at established intervals as they progress through training.”[1]Milestones are based on the six core competencies established by the ACGME and American Board of Medical Specialties(ABMS),which consist of medical knowledge(MK),patient care(PC),interpersonal and communication skills(ICS),practice-based learning and improvement(PBLI),professionalism(PROF),and systems-based practice(SBP).[2,3]ACGME,in conjunction with the American Board of Emergency medicine(ABEM),drafted 23 detailed subcompetencies relevant to emergency medicine(EM).[4]

To the Editor:Stroke is a major cause of death and longterm serious disability in adults *** is the most important modifiable risk factor for primary and secondary prevention of stroke.[1]Even a modest reduction in clinical blood pressure(BP)of approximately 10/5 mmHg is associated with a significant 30%risk reduction of adverse clinical *** clinical evidence strongly advocated the effectiveness of managing BP to reduce adverse outcomes after ischemic stroke,[2]the management and control of BP in ischemic stroke patients after discharge remain poor.

Cardiac arrest poses a significant global public health challenge,manifesting in approximately 550,000 cases annually within the United States.[1]In-hospital cardiac arrest(IHCA)is commonly attributed to airways and respiratory issues.[2]Recommendations emphasize the expertise of responders in airway management.[3]Various options exist,such as chest compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR),bag-mask ventilation(BMV),and advanced *** BMV and advanced airways are not deemed equivalent or superior based on previous evidence.[4]Achieving consistency in choosing and timing the optimal airway approach during IHCA is *** current American Heart Association guidelines suggest an advanced airway strategy when endotracheal intubation(ETI)success rates are high,but the optimal time for advanced airway management remains unclear.[5]Wong et al[6]revealed that survival improved by less than 5 min with advanced airway *** to a subgroup analysis of IHCA patients in emergency departments(EDs),early intubation was associated with a 1.5-fold greater rate of return of spontaneous circulation(ROSC)than in other locations.[7]ED patients’constant monitoring and immediate management,with readily available intubation equipment,enhance early intubation and survival rates.[6]Nonetheless,IHCA patients intubated within the first 15 min had a lower ROSC rate.

Background:High body mass index(BMI)results in decreased fecundity,and women with high BMI have reduced rates of clinical pregnancy and live birth in in vitro fertilization/intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection(IVF/ICSI).Meanwhile,ovarian responses show great heterogeneity in patients with a high *** study aimed to analyze the effects of a high BMI on IVF/ICSI outcomes in the Chinese female with normal ovarian ***:We performed a retrospective cohort study comprising 15,124 patients from the medical record system of the Reproductive Center of Peking University Third Hospital,with 3530(23.3%)in the overweight group and 1380(9.1%)in the obese group,who had a normal ovarian response(5-15 oocytes retrieved)and underwent fresh embryo transfer(ET)cycles from January 2017 to December 2018,followed by linked frozen-thawed embryo transfer(FET)cycles from January 2017 to December *** live birth rate(CLBR)was used as the primary ***,a generalized additive model was applied to visually illustrate the curvilinear relationship between BMI and the *** used a decision tree to identify the specific population where high BMI had the greatest effect on IVF/ICSI ***:High BMI was associated with poor IVF/ICSI outcomes,both in cumulative cycles and in separate fresh ET or FET *** cumulative cycles,compared with the normal weight group,obesity was correlated with a lower positive pregnancy test rate(adjusted odds ratio[aOR]:0.809,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.682-0.960),lower clinical pregnancy rate(aOR:0.766,95%CI:0.646-0.907),lower live birth rate(aOR:0.706,95%CI:0.595-0.838),higher cesarean section rate(aOR:2.066,95%CI:1.533-2.785),and higher rate of large for gestational age(aOR:2.273,95%CI:1.547-3.341).In the generalized additive model,we found that CLBR declined with increasing BMI,with 24 kg/m^(2)as an inflection *** the decision tree,BMI only made a difference in the population aged≤34.5 years,with anti-Muller

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of electroacupuncture(EA)intervention on myocardial protection and postoperative rehabilitation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).METHODS:Eight databases,including Pub Med,Embase,the Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Chinese Bio Medical Literature Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Data,China Science and Technology Journal Database,and two clinical trial registries,were *** randomized controlled trials(RCTs)related to EA intervention in cardiac surgery with CPB were *** on the inclusion and exclusion criteria,two researchers independently screened articles and extracted *** the quality evaluation,RevMan 5.3 software was used for ***:Fourteen RCTs involving 836 patients were *** with the control treatment,EA significantly increased the incidence of cardiac automatic rebeat after aortic unclamping[relative risk(RR)=1.15,95%confidence interval(CI)(1.01,1.31),P<0.05;moderate].Twenty-four hours after aortic unclamping,EA significantly increased the superoxide dismutase[standardized mean difference(SMD)=0.96,95%CI(0.32,1.61),P<0.05;low],and interleukin(IL)-2[SMD=1.33,95%CI(0.19,2.47),P<0.05;very low]expression levels and decreased the malondialdehyde[SMD=-1.62,95%CI(-2.15,-1.09),P<0.05;moderate],tumour necrosis factor-α[SMD=-1.28,95%CI(-2.37,-0.19),P<0.05;moderate],and cardiac troponin I[SMD=-1.09,95%CI(-1.85,-0.32),P<0.05;low]expression levels as well as the inotrope scores[SMD=-0.77,95%CI(-1.22,-0.31),P<0.05;high].There was no difference in IL-6 and IL-10 expression *** amount of intraoperative sedative[SMD=-0.31,95%CI(-0.54,-0.09),P<0.05;moderate]and opioid analgesic[SMD=-0.96,95%CI(-1.53,-0.38),P<0.05;low]medication was significantly lower in the EA group than in the control ***,the postoperative tracheal intubation time[SMD=-0.92,95%CI(-1.40,-0.45),P<0.05;low]and intensive care unit stay[SMD=-1.

tThe tumor suppressor p53 is the most common mutated gene in cancer,with the R175H as the most frequent p53 missense ***,there are currently no approved targeted therapies or immunotherapies against mutant ***,we characterized and inves-tigated a monoclonal antibody(mAb)that recognizes the mutant p53-R175H for its affinity,specificity,and activity against tumor cells in *** then delivered DNA plasmids expres-sing the anti-R175H mAb or a bispecific antibody(BsAb)into mice to evaluate their therapeutic *** results showed that the anti-R175H mAb specifically bound to the p53-R175H an-tigen with a high affinity and recognized the human mutant p53-R175H antigen expressed on HEK293T or MC38 cells,with no cross-reactivity with wild-type *** cultured cells,the anti-R175H mAb showed higher cytotoxicity than the control but did not induce antibody-dependent cellular *** made a recombinant MC38 mouse cell line(MC38-p53-R175H)that overexpressed the human p53-R175H after knocking out the endogenous mutant p53 *** vivo,administration of the anti-R175H mAb plasmid elicited a robust anti-tumor effect against MC38-p53-R175H in *** administration of the anti-R175H BsAb plasmid showed no therapeutic effects,yet potent anti-tumor activity was observed in combination with the anti-PD-1 *** results indicate that targeting specific mutant epitopes using DNA-delivered mAbs or BsAbs presents a form of improved natural immunity derived from tumor-infiltrating B cells and plasma cells against intracellular tumor antigens.
