Uranium is the main fuel of nuclear power and elimination uranium from nuclear wastewater is significant both in environmental protection and fuel *** we report for the first time the synthesis of carbon dots/polyurethane(CDs/PU)composite materials for the photoinduced elimination of uranium from *** with visible light,CDs/PU could eliminate uranium efficiently with the generation of(UO_(2))O_(2)·_(2)H_(2)O as solid products in *** further investigated mechanism showed that the addition of CDs/PU could produce more H_(2)O_(2)under visible light,which reacted with uranyl ions to form(UO_(2))O_(2)·_(2)H_(2)***,the sponge-like CDs/PU could be easily removed from water with high reusability as the elimination efficiency remained above 95%after 5 ***/PU also displayed good selectivity in the presence of other metal *** work affords exciting strategies for developing photocatalysts and eliminating uranium from water.

Phylogenetic Analysis of Virulence Factor Genes in Salmonella from Chicken

We present periodic variations of the migrating diurnal tide from Thermosphere, Ionosphere, Mesosphere, Energetics and Dynamics (TIMED) temperature and wind data from 2002 to 2007 and meteor radar data at Maui (20.75°N, 156.43°W). There are strong quasi-biennial oscillation (QBO) signatures in the amplitude of the diurnal tidal temperature in the tropical region and in the wind near ±20°. The magnitude of the QBO in the diurnal tidal amplitude reaches about 3 K in temperature and about 7 m/s (Northern Hemisphere) and 9 m/s (Southern Hemisphere) in meridional wind. The period of the diurnal tide QBO is around 24-25 months in the mesosphere but is quite variable with altitude in the stratosphere. Throughout the mesosphere, the amplitude of the diurnal tide reaches maximum during March/April of years when the QBO in lower stratospheric wind is in the eastward phase. Because the tide shows amplification only during a limited time of the year, there are not enough data yet to determine whether the tidal variation is truly biennial (24-month period) or is quasi-biennial. The semiannual (SAO) and annual oscillations (AO) in the diurnal tide support previous findings: tidal amplitude is largest around equinoxes (SAO signal) and is larger during the vernal equinox (AO signal). TIMED Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry (TIMED/SABER) temperature and atmospheric pressure data are used to calculate the balance wind and the tides in horizontal wind. The comparison between the calculations and the wind observed by TIMED Doppler Interferometer (TIDI) and meteor radar indicates qualitative agreement, but there are some differences as well.

Salmonella is a common genus of seriously harmful food-borne zoonotic bacteria. Humans and animals may be infected with Salmonella through ingestion of SalmoneUa-contaminated eggs and poultry meat. Therefore, in order to reduce the incidence of Salmonella infections, it is crucial to explore the pathogenic mech- anism of Salmonella. invA and invE are major virulence factor genes that encode invasion proteins of Salmonella. In order to explore the pathogenic mechanism of Salmonella, phylogenetic analysis of major virulence factor genes in 33 Salmonella strains isolated from chicken was analyzed. According to the results, ivnA gene was successfully amplified from 33 Salmonella strains; ivnE gene was successfully amplified from 32 Salmonella strains, ivnA nucleotide sequences shared 72.9% - 97.6% homology among 12 sequenced Salmonella strains and shared 78.9% - 97.2% homology with those in GenBank ; ivnE nucleotide sequences shared over 95.3% homology among 23 sequenced Salmonella strains and shared 89.6% -98.6% homology with those in GenBank, which exhibited no genetic relationship to other organisms. This study provided the basis for rapid molecular detection, epidemiological research and molecular pathogenesis analysis of Salmonella.

The recovery of pectin from citrus peel waste for application in the food,nutraceutical,pharmaceutical,and medical industries has attracted much *** has been postulated that the presence of polyphenols,sometimes regarded as an impurity,in extracted pectin might confer enhanced biological *** research study aimed at investigating the physicochemical and biological properties(antioxidant,enzyme inhibitory,and cytotoxic properties)of pectin extracted from the alcohol insoluble residues of the peel waste of grapefruit,lime,and lemon as well as the pectin recovered from untreated peel *** rheological behavior of the pectin samples was also *** methoxyl pectin with galacturonic acid content greater that 60%was recovered from the different raw *** obtained from untreated material possessed high phenolic content(19.83-5.94 mg gallic acid equivalent/g sample)and showed higher antioxidant *** against pancreatic cholesterol esterase,pancreatic lipase,andα-glucosidase was observed and pectin enriched with polyphenol showed higher *** of pectin samples to healthy Vero cells enhanced proliferation and did not show cytotoxic *** solutions extracted from untreated lime and untreated grapefruit presented highest viscosity and elastic modulus,which were comparable to those obtained for commercial high-methoxyl *** extracted from lime,lemon,and grapefruit peels possessed interesting biological and viscoelastic properties,which can be exploited for development of novel bioproducts.

Hybrid Optimization-Based GRU Neural Network for Software Reliability Prediction

Aiming at the problems of low prediction accuracy and weak generalization ability of current reliability prediction models,this paper proposes a hybrid multi-layer heterogeneous particle swarm optimization algorithm(HMHPSO)that can simultaneously optimize the structure and parameters of the GRU neural *** first introduced a multi-layer heteromass particle swarm optimization(MHPSO)algorithm,which sets the population topology as a hierarchical structure and introduces the concept of attractors,so as to improve the update formula of particle speed,and enhance the information interaction ability between particles,increase the diversity of the groups,thereby improving the optimization ability of the *** the HMHPSO used the quantum particle swarm optimization(QPSO)algorithm to determine the structure of the GRU,that is,the number of hidden *** results show that the algorithm can generate GRU neural networks with high generalization performance and low architecture complexity,and has better prediction accuracy in software reliability prediction.

The population which could not access to electricity was around 1.2 billion in 2010 and is distributed in many low developing countries. With the increase in the population and the economic growth in those countries, waste generation is growing rapid especially for the organic and the plastic, and the uncontrolled waste disposal is becoming more serious issues to manage it. The interest on waste to energy is growing by the above drivers. This research was carried out for aiming to the real world adaption at the minimum cost of the pyrolysis oil from waste biomass in a diesel engine, mainly for electricity generation. The proposal of the appropriate adaptable blend ratio was the major scope rather than the optimization of the engine parameters. For the sake of it, the pyrolysis oil of the waste biomass was produced from a gasification pilot plant in Japan and blended with biodiesel at minimum effort. A small single cylinder diesel engine （direct injection） was used for the experiment with regard to full load power-output, exhaust emissions and fuel consumption.
