Clinical Outcome of Internal Fixation and Fusion in the Treatment of Spinal Fractures by Paraspinal Muscular Space Approach

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of internal fixation and fusion with the paraspinal muscle gap approach in the treatment of spinal fracture ***:104 spinal fracture patients admitted to Central hospital of tcm from October 2022 to April 2024 were selected as the study subjects and were randomly divided into the control group(n=52)and the observation group(n=52)according to the random number table *** control group was treated with the conventional approach of internal fixation surgery,and the observation group was treated with the paraspinal muscular interspace approach of internal fixation *** two groups’general data,surgical indexes,pain,lumbar spine function,and postoperative complications were ***:The baseline data of the two groups of patients were not statistically significant(all P>0.05)while the intraoperative bleeding,the first postoperative time getting up from bed,and the length of hospital stay of the patients in the observation group were shorter than that of the control group(all P=0.000<0.001),and the duration of the operation was longer than that of the control group(t=2.644,P=0.010<0.05);at 3 months postoperatively,the VAS scores of the patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(t=10.768,P=0.000<0.001),and the JOA score was higher than that of the control group(t=6.498,P=0.000<0.001);the total complication rate of patients in the observation group(3/5.77%)was significantly lower than that of the control group(12/23.08%)(χ^(2)=6.310,P=0.012<0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of spinal fracture patients,compared with the conventional approach to internal fixation surgery,the paraspinal muscular gap approach to internal fixation and fusion treatment is less traumatic,postoperative lumbar spine function recovery is faster,and can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.

Objective To clarify the potential mechanism of Banxia Xiexin Decoction(BXD)on colorectal cancer(CRC)from the perspective of *** Forty male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into normal control(NC),azoxymethane/dextran sulfate sodium(AOM/DSS)model,low-dose BXD(L-BXD),high-dose BXD(H-BXD)and mesalamine(MS)groups according to a random number table,8 mice in each *** cancer model was induced by AOM/*** was administered daily at doses of 3.915(L-BXD)and 15.66 g/kg(H-BXD)by gavage for consecutive 21 days,and 100 mg/kg MS was used as positive *** the entire modeling cycle,colon length of mice was measured and quantity of colorectal tumors were *** spleen and thymus index were determined by calculating the spleen/thymus weight to body *** cytokine and changes of serum metabolites were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits and ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q/TOF-MS),*** Notably,BXD supplementation protected against weight loss,mitigated tumor formation,and diminished histologic damage in mice treated with AOM/DSS(P1).Moreover,BXD suppressed expression of serum inflammatory enzymes,and improved the spleen and thymus index(P102 kinds of differential metabolites were screened in the AOM/DSS group,including 48 potential biomarkers,involving 18 main metabolic *** 18 potential biomarkers related to CRC were identified,and the anti-CRC mechanism of BXD was closely related to D-glutamine and D-glutamate metabolism,phenylalanine,tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis,arginine biosynthesis,nitrogen metabolism and so *** BXD exerts partial protective effects on AOM/DSS-induced CRC by reducing inflammation,protecting organism immunity ability,and regulating amino acid metabolism.

Immediate Effect of Electro-acupuncture on Endometrial Blood Flow in Patients with Recurrent Implantation Failure:A Randomized Controlled Trial

Dear Editor,The choice of surgical intervention for nanophthalmos patients with secondary angle-closure glaucoma poses a challenging decision for *** nanophthalmos patients who have undergone filtration surgery or other intraocular procedures are more susceptible to severe complications,including choroidal effusion,malignant glaucoma,and explosive choroidal hemorrhage,all of which can lead to vision loss[1].This dilemma is particularly pronounced in patients with shorter axial *** transscleral laser therapy(M-TLT),also known as micropulse transscleral cyclophotocoagulation(MP-TSCPC),is a nonincisional laser therapy surgery for glaucoma[2].In 2015,Golan and Kurtz[3]were the first to report four patients with secondary angle-closure glaucoma in nanophthalmos with axial lengths ranging between 17 and 19 mm(mean 18 mm)who were successfully treated with M-TLT,and choroidal detachment was observed in all patients(recovery spontaneously in two patients and recovery after systemic steroid treatment in the other two),of which two had a slight decrease in visual acuity.

Shengmaisan combined with Liuwei Dihuang Decoction alleviates chronic intermittent hypoxia-induced cognitive impairment by activating the EPO/EPOR/JAK2 signaling pathway

Chronic intermittent hypoxia(CIH),a principal pathophysiological aspect of obstructive sleep apnea(OSA),is associated with cognitive *** evidence suggests that a combination of Shengmaisan and Liuwei Dihuang Decoctions(SMS-LD)can enhance cognitive function by nourishing yin and strengthening the *** study aimed to assess the efficacy and underlying mechanisms of SMS-LD in addressing cognitive impairments induced by *** exposed C57BL/6N mice to CIH for five weeks(20%-5%O_(2),5 min/cycle,8 h/day)and administered SMS-LD intragastrically(15.0 or 30 g·kg^(-1)·day)30 min before each CIH ***,AG490,a JJanus kinase 2(JAK2)inhibitor,was administered via intracerebroventricular *** function was evaluated using the Morris water maze,while synaptic and mitochondrial structures were examined by transmission electron *** stress levels were determined using DHE staining,and the activation of the erythropoietin(ER)/ER receptor(EPOR)/JAK2 signaling pathway was analyzed through immunohistochemistry and Western *** further investigate molecular mechanisms,HT22 cells were treated in vitro with either SMS-LD medicated serum alone or in combination with AG490 and then exposed to CIH for 48 *** results indicate that SMS-LD significantly mitigated CIH-induced cognitive impairments in ***,SMS-LD treatment enhanced dendritic spine density,ameliorated mitochondrial dysfunction,reduced oxidative stress,and activated the EPO/EPOR/JAK2 signaling ***,AG490 negated SMS-LD’s neuroprotective and cognitive improvement effects under CIH *** findings suggest that SMS-LD’s beneficial impact on cognitive impairment and synaptic and mitochondrial integrity under CIH conditions may predominantly be attributed to the activation of the EPO/EPOR/JAK2 signaling pathway.

Data Mining Based Research of Development Direction of Waist Protection Equipment

[Objectives]To explore the trend of brands towards the design of waist protection products through data mining,and to provide reference for the design concept of the contour of waist protection pillow.[Methods]The structural design information of all waist protection equipment was collected from the national Internet platform,and the data were classified and a database was *** SPSS 26.0 and MATLAB 2018a were used to analyze the data and tabulate them in Tableau *** the association rules were clarified,the data were imported into Cinema 4D R21 to create the concept contour of waist protection pillow.[Results]The average and standard deviation of the single airbag design were the highest in all groups,with an average of 0.511 and a standard deviation of *** average and standard deviation of the upper and lower dual airbags were the lowest in all groups,with an average of 0.015 and a standard deviation of 0.120;the correlation coefficient between single airbag and 120°arc stretching was 0.325,which was positively correlated with each other(P1);the correlation coefficient between multiple airbags and 360°encircling fitting was 0.501,which was positively correlated with each other and had the highest correlation degree(P1).[Conclusions]The single airbag design is well recognized by companies,and has received the highest attention among all brand *** focusing on single airbag design,most brands will consider the need to add 120°arc stretching elements in product *** the time of focusing on multiple airbag design,some brands believe that 360°encircling fitting elements need to be added to the product,and the correlation between the two is the highest among all groups.
